@Ophidian - did you want that whole area, or very specifically just the tiny island by #22?

@Willy Vereb I'll wait to add Ophie, but I'll get to work on distributing that region.

The whole area would be nice, but if someone else is interested, we can work out a division. Don't want to keep anyone else out of the game!

Brief blurb on the basics of the faction (provided in quote form). To make sure it meshes. Working name, currently, is the Siyah Suzerainty.

"Hmmph. A true tribute to the Suzerainty of old, whose weaknesses sunk as deep as it's great walls rose high. Know that the curse of the Suzerainty lingers in hearts of their younger kin...."March for the Age of the Serpent," said the Suzerainty to it's warriors...as they walked to lonely deaths in far-off lands...."

"We could rule the world. The old Suzerains did. They took the Army of the Black Serpent to the farthest reaches-there was nothing left to conquer! The world was ours.

....But my forefathers are dead. The Suzerain is shriveled and broken...and so now we live in evil days. Our Beys turn on each other, instead of their proper enemies. Our treasuries are barren, our resources wasted, our armies demoralized and our civil services sterile.

My fathers must weep, if the dead are capable of it. If not, I shall weep for them. But...I shall also hope. What was, may well be again. Time still marches. The great god Yig, the Snakefather, still watches over us. Protects us.

And...perhaps...perhaps now the Snakefather wishes for his children to be great again. Perhaps a new Suzerain will take up the sword, the gun and the bow.

....Perhaps."

Ended up drawing vestigial empire elements. The Ottomans turned into a major source of inspiration.

As you can see I just posted my NS to the characters tab. Well, I mean that about 2 hours ago. I spent the rest of the time on fixing up the Index and include as much information I can. Check it out!

BTW, a few quick comments and requests to players who posted their NS:

@LauderCan you write a small profile on the Askari (giant bird mounts)? I'll add them to the Bestiarum.

@TheMoatedGrangeI feel that you may not need to emphatize magic use so much. I know it won't be a problem during the NRP but it creates the illusions as if you have entire companies of battle mages.
Also I suggest using crossbows like the heavy arbalests for sniping. They actually outperform firearms in general.
If you wish to use gunpowder I suggest it for cannons, they are by far the most advised. If you overview the battles (but more often the sieges) you see that cannons decided most of them during the 15th century.

@POOHEAD189Can you elaborate a bit more on your special trade goods. I wish the description of them to be a bit more detailed, especially the Wyrdwood.

@MonkeypantsCan you give me bits of profiles on the scorpion creatures and your turtle. I already included the latter but it talks about it more as a creature carrying cannons than what is Takodon really like.
Again, Bestiarum additions.

@Legion02You forgot to fill anything in your History section before posting your NS. Don't know why I haven't realized this before but now I did.
Can you fix that?

@ClocktowerEchosI feel you may need to nerf your nation's magic a bit but whatever I make a more comprehensive opinion on things later.

And here is the newest map!

I see 2, maybe 3 areas left where new nations can be placed. If we include the grayed out nations, make that 6-7.

So what are the others waiting for?
I think most players finished their NS, didn't they? Then come on! Post it up!
Until we don't get the majority of the NS in the characters page it's a bit difficult to start the IC.

13 out of 26 active players have posted their forms
15 out of 31, to be precise. Well, maybe 29 if you don't count Iso and DC.
I also count myself and Frengo/Shorticus are playing one faction together.
Still, I know we have a number of NS lying around and I would wish we can get them up.
Besides, I don't know how much synchronized things are.
Well, whatever the case I guess I make the IC post tomorrow night.

@Lauder Hmm, say. Mind if I use your birds too? Probably would be excellent mounts for the Jakai Tribes located in the Coastal and Savannah regions under Zhodulan control.

Also @Willy Vereb here's my contribution.

@Sigma

Sure you can! You won't know the ancient Kashar way of training and taming them though! So don't complain if you lose several fingers and your eyes!

EDIT: Also, you will have to keep them and the Spikebacks separated ^^

By the way, I'd like to go ahead and show you guys how I'll be showing areas being conquered in a war. It's very much going to be done in Europa Universalis fashion.

Thick lines on the territory layer would indicate lands that have been conquered during the course of a war. If they are granted to the conquering realm in a peace treaty or by the total capitulation / domination of the enemy state, that territory becomes the color of the conquerors.
