Since I have a witch hanging around with the hunters, I'm thinking in somehow have a hunter on the middle of the witches.

All the cool and beautiful flintlock / percussion rifles I showed you are for my new hunter.

The fifth ninja war

It would be a good night of sleep, only if wasn't for that dreaded noise, waking up every single animal.
So loud that if it wasn't for her grabbing the branches, she would fall down of the tree she was sleeping.
Permeating the florest, the noise made every animal hide or flee.
"Now I will have to actually search for something to hunt..." she thought, annoyed.
"Well, I suppose I can try to look around and see what was all that noise... Its not like I will be able to sleep again for some time..."
But before that, a bath would be good. Nari didn't liked to be dirty after all.
Getting near the lake, she jumped on the water. Her beautiful hair and curvaceous body reflected on the crystalline water. That was exactly the vision who enchanted many of the men who kept looking for her on the forest. It was annoying, really... She hated to have them walking around in the forest and scaring her prey away... It was so harder to hunt or even sleep when they were there... Their loud steps echoed through the forest, without a clue about how to move inside it, they broke branches, walking around stomping the ground just like babies, making a mess wherever they passed. But even if they scared their prey away, she somewhat liked to have them around. She enjoyed playing pranks on them, and watching their faces as she got near them with their claws as she seduced them. The looks on their faces, a mix of arousal and fear, some tried to touch her, others even tried to propose to her, as she watched with a mischievous smile on her face.
"Well, I suppose I should go investigate the sound now that I am clean and fully awakened." she thought, carefully brushing her hair with her claws, wearing the golden chains and her earring that adorned her. It was a very weird thought, to think that the same woman who said that clothes and armors were useless, wearing something besides fur to protect her from the cold.
The truth is that she liked the chains and the earring. She thought that it gave her a special charm.

Moving around the forest in a feline way, she smelled the air, her senses on total alert, trying to find anything out of the usual, any sound, any smell or any unusual movement.
*GROWL*
"I need to eat something after I'm done with this..." she thought, with a grimace, continuing her search

Well, that is some new info!
Anyways, it just makes things even more interesting!!
After all, even if they didn't hit her on a vital area, it would still be basically 50/50 chance for Shai.
A number of factors could threat her life: The hunters, the lack of first aid...

Oh and @Noxx Both of the bolts are aimed on the same target, the creature's head. so if they hit someone, they would probably hit the same person 2 times.

But again, the Doctor is paying attention at things. Shai currently isn't.

It is a rather risky situation for Shai, since she would get basically in the hunter's hands. If they decided to kill her, she wouldn't be able to do anything regarding it.

Also, Emmerich shot the bolts both because he didn't knew that the hunter could be saved, and honestly... even if he knew he would probably still have shot them XD

Would love to learn, but sadly I'm still just an enthusiast on different languages. English is the only "foreign" language I know fluently... for now XD

I like taking risks. And the bolts are heading to the hunter (the one which is transforming itself on a gnome).
If the doctor decides to enter the corridor I made (assuming the bolts miss the target, that is, the transforming gnome dodge them), the bolts will probably hit him. If he doesn't enter it, they will hit Shai.

If they hit Shai, she would probably collapse and spend one or two days with her body almost completely inert (her heart beats way slower than normal, and she is completely defenseless and unconscious) while her body imbues itself on magic, healing itself (assuming that the doctor nearby at least seals her wounds, if he doesn't, she will die from blood loss before she can enter this state).

Oh and since the bolts are heavy (way bigger than normal bolts due to the crossbow's size) You would have to use a stronger magic, like, one that obviously shows everyone that you are a witch XD.
