I've just realized that in all the 9 years I've been part of this site, I've never had to change my name, make an alt account or anything like that!

Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and ascend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity

It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"

Still here, things been actually pretty hectic here... Family drama, got to a point that things are starting to get to physical threats and... yeah...

Other than that I was waiting for Fetzen, since the plan was initially his (about using Týfurkh's power to send the military an SOS message)
After much deliberation, I have come to decide that smut is an integral part of MGE and I want to bring the whole MGE experience to you all.

That is why I'd like to move this RP to a more 'open' place and I request you all to go and register to this website.

Freyr

It was clear that Freyr had mixed feelings coming back to his village after so much time. In one hand, he was truly happy to hear the voice of the woods again and to a certain extent, to see others from his own race, but on the other hand, he knew that he wasn't welcome anymore. Watching Ditzy and Nagare's reaction after seeing the village. It wasn't that surprising that they were curious about it, after all, not many outsiders even got close to the village's entrance, let alone enter it.

"It's the traditions. The Laws of the Woods that remained unchanged for long... Too long..." Freyr replied to Ditzy and Nagare, who had both asked why males couldn't come back. Notably, when Ditzy mentioned his parents, Freyr's expression immediately became a bit darker as he clearly tried to avoid talking about his parents.

"As a male, it was my duty being a wood warder. To live a life of complete isolation, protecting the woods. The reason for this is that the Viera is a female predominant race. Males are too few and isolated to even be relevant in the society. Less than 20% of the Vieras that are born are males. Due to that and the fact that most males do have a different... 'temperament' than females being more competitive, antisocial & etc. Males are seen as incompatible to live together with female Vieras." Freyr continued explaining as he looked around the plaza, situating himself in order to locate where Jote's house was.

"Nera was... Very close to me when we were kids. When I became old enough to well... become a Wood Warder, in other words, be exiled from the Village, and decided to leave the woods, she probably saw that as me betraying not only the woods and the race, but herself..." Freyr completed.

"Yes... We should probably go see Jote soon... Just follow me." Freyr said, as he looked towards a bridge linking the plaza to another tree nearby, going towards a rather large building. Due to the way he simply started walking towards the bridge, it was clear that he didn't want to draw any more attention than they already were. The hostile stares from a few Vieras were incredibly obvious.

The Vieran Village

Excluding the hostile stares from some of the Vieras, the walk towards Jote's house was a pleasant one. From the top of enormous trees, they were able to see the entire forest floor if they looked down. Beautiful and peaceful, truly, all worries from the outside world wasn't be able to reach so deep inside the forest... At least not until now...

The moment they arrived in front of the Jote's house, which was almost indistinguishable from other houses other than being slightly bigger, much for their own surprise, they didn't even need to knock, as Jote got out of the door the second they arrived.

"Unsought guests in our woods, yet... Nera has allowed your entrance." Jote replied, with a harsh, but curious stare. The second she saw Freyr though, she went quiet for a second, looking at him with a surprised, almost alarmed expression.

"Why does the voice of the woods still..." Jote started, clearly surprised but interrupted herself.

"No matter. Why have you came, bringing outsiders with you? No matter what happens, you know you are unsought guests in this village..." Jote said. Despite Jote's serious expression it was clear by her reaction when she saw Freyr that something was different. She had a small bit of doubt in her voice. Maybe it has something to deal with Freyr, his exile and the so called 'Voice of the Woods' that the Viera were apparently able to hear?

Kumiko

Kumiko couldn't help but to giggle when Rowan started reprimanding her after she teased him. She knew exactly how to deal with troublemakers, but merchants and nobles were another thing. They held much more power and influence than a random troublemaker and any action that might make them angry or unsatisfied could become incredibly problematic if they decided doing something about that.

"Don't worry, Guildmaster Rowan. I was just teasing you!" Kumiko said with a giggle.
"After all, I wouldn't want to put even more work on your hands." Kumiko said with a professional smile.

When Rowan mentioned about finding a job for her, despite her professional smile and dignified posture, it was incredibly obvious by how her ears moved, perking up and her tail that she was indeed excited looking forward to that.

With a discreet bow, Kumiko went downstairs to resume her work.

After the angry merchants left the guild hall, things were notably calmer and flowing normally again. Adventurers were speaking with other receptionists, completing quests and little by little, things were being organized again.

"I'm sorry for leaving, I had a few things to speak with the Guildmaster. Thanks for covering up for me~" Kumiko said, whispering for another receptionist that had taken her seat while she was still gone. As soon as she sat down again, a party of adventurers calmly walked towards her. By their look, their equipment and how they knew exactly what to do to join the hunting party, it was clear for Kumiko that they were veterans, despite being new faces around the town.

"You are here to join the hunting party, I presume?" Kumiko asked, readying a few papers and documents to complete their registration.

"I believe you already know the danger of this particular mission, right? Please don't overexert yourselves. If you feel it's getting too dangerous don't be afraid of retreating." Kumiko said as she gently took the guild cards that the party members offered to her the second she started talking to them.

"Aaannd... That's it! You guys are ready! Good luck and be safe out there~!" Kumiko said, returning their guild cards with a kind smile as the party walked away.

"Next, please!" she said, waiting for the next adventurer.

Mikhail carefully listened to what Faeril was speaking. Not everyone was interested in money, so it was understandable that she preferred to make use of his services for the time being, but the part that made him raise his eyebrows was when she mentioned that they would discuss the payment after he was healed. Still, a deal was a deal and no matter what happened, she was the only one who could cure his 'condition' so he didn't have many choices regarding that fact.

"I must remind you though that time is a precious thing for us Dea Al Mon as we do not have a lifespan as long as the long-lived races." Mikhail said, with a serious look, carefully analyzing Faeril's reactions to what he had just said. Many things could be interpreted from what Mikhail had just said, but it was clear that he was referring only to his race's lifespan compared to hers. After looking through his memories, it was clear to Faeril that the last thing he wanted was being the prisoner of someone else's wishes, desires and whims.

"But still, a deal is a deal. I will be under your care for the time being." he said, with a discreet bow towards Faeril, clearly waiting for any order or task for him to do.

He knew there were others living on that same house, he could only hope for them to not cause too much trouble regarding his stay though...

Mikhail had entrusted more than his own mind to Faeril. Laying there, defenseless in front of a Black Widow meant a lot, especially coming from someone who was as cautious (some would definitely say 'paranoid') as Mikhail. If one asked themselves what exactly all that meant, or what made someone like Mikhail to completely trust a total stranger they would probably be in doubt if it was solely the agonizing situation his mind was in or if he indeed trusted that Black Widow after he spoke with her and looked her in the eyes. The truth was that it was a little bit of both.

He had felt Faeril's experienced hands weaving a web made of his memories, slowly trying to make sense out of the mess of fragmented memories inside his head. Together with that, he saw those fragments, felt the emotions and feelings but they were notably more... distant. Almost as if they were memories and feelings from another person, from another life that wasn't his anymore. He was prepared from the second he laid down for the fact that he was entrusting everything he was to Faeril. But it was only during the procedure that he realized how deep that was. It was safe to assume that Faeril herself understood and knew Mikhail more than many people have always knew.

"I see... I was already prepared for this. I will be in your care for the time being." Mikhail replied after he heard Faeril's words, saying more sessions would be needed to complete the treatment. It was true that he felt noticeably better than before, but he knew that it would be difficult to heal his broken mind and get rid of the memories of the past life he rejected.

When the Black Widow mentioned payment, Mikhail lowered his head in a small and discreet bow.
"I managed to save a reasonable amount of money. If by chance it's not enough, I would gladly offer you my... services... to pay for the treatment." Mikhail said, looking directly towards Faeril's eyes. He knew very well that by now she was already aware of what exactly he was and what was his... 'job'. Yet, as much as he may dislike that, it wouldn't change the fact that she was one of the few capable of treating his condition. Not only that, but she promised complete discretion regarding his past, his identity and his 'circumstances'.

"Whatever it may be, I am ready to pay for your service." Mikhail completed, with a calm, but serious stare towards Faeril.
Just waiting for @AzureKnight before writing my next update :-)
Kumiko

Kumiko almost felt guilty when she saw Rowan's reaction as she laid down the pile of papers near him. It was obvious that he had already so many things to deal with yet he didn't have the luxury of taking a small break, due to the current situation with the monster invasion.
At least she hoped the merchants wouldn't return for some time now. They did seem to be... moderately satisfied when she said she would deliver the complaints directly to him.

"To be honest... I was almost thinking I would have to forcefully kick them out of the building... So insistent..." Kumiko said looking to both Rowan and Mr. Cullen.

"They always seem to be really... vicious when the matter is money... I wouldn't be surprised if they started growling to one another when on a business meeting or something like that..." Kumiko said, giggling as she compared the merchants to wolves.

"Anyways, I hope they won't return here so soon. Things are already hectic without them trying to further slow down everything. Even the adventurers were starting to get lost with all those merchants making such a fuss inside the guild hall." She finished, rolling her eyes.

When Mr. Cullen praised her, mentioning a raise, followed by Rowan, Kumiko couldn't help but smile. Despite her subtle reaction, if one paid close attention to her, it was obvious that she wasn't trying to hide that she was happy and proud for being praised. Her ears standing up, her tail and her posture.

"I did consider being a little bit more... persuasive in my attempts to make them leave, but I'm glad that it worked!" Kumiko said, with a chuckle and a mischievous expression, clear indications that she wouldn't have any problem in using other means to make them leave.

"I don't know about a raise, but I would be pretty grateful if someone let me take on a few requests occasionally..." Kumiko said, putting her hands on her waist and looking at Rowan with a slightly annoyed expression.

"A bit of exercise helps me to keep me in good shape and to sharpen my claws~" Kumiko said, giggling in a playful tone. It was incredibly obvious that she was teasing Rowan. Other than that, both Mr. Cullen and Rowan knew that the little... exercise Kumiko was talking about wasn't something most people would consider as normal.

"Anyways, I'm sorry for interrupting you, Guildmaster Rowan, Mr. Cullen. I'm sure one of you still have a lot of work to do." Kumiko said, returning to her 'receptionist' mode, with a chuckle and a teasing smirk towards Mr. Cullen as she headed towards the door.

"I remember seeing some adventurers around the guild hall that still seemed to be a bit lost even after the merchants were gone. If you need anything, you just need to call me Mr. Rowan." Kumiko said, with a discreet bow towards Rowan and Isaac as she went back downstairs towards the guild hall.
