Alright, look, without going into too much detail...

I'm going to be stuck with just my phone for awhile.

(No, my laptop isn't the problem.)

It's an absolute pain trying to make fancy- let alone *decent*, IC posts for roleplaying...

(My phone is tiny and my network is slow af sometimes.)

But I'm having DB withdrawals hardcore!!!!!! 😫

So, I have a question for everybody...

Would y'all be willing to let me jump in when I can?

Some major irl issues are finally out of the way, admittedly not all of them, buuuut I can possibly sneak in much shorter IC posts very sparingly.

I'm mostly caught up with back reading and could have a smaller IC post ready in a few days, with irl permitting.

Of course, I would keep you updated on where I'm at the best I can. And it would be necessary to skip me occasionally.

It sucks, but I'd genuinely love to pick you guys back up the best that I can. All your characters are very fun to read about and interact with in such a diverse world.

If the answer is stfu and gtfo, I'll proably cry, but will totally understand.

Death of the genre

Forum boards, in general, aren't really a dying breed. Forums are just no longer growing in popularity.

One might claim that social media is the cause, but I don't think that's it at all.

I think the internet is overwhelmed with ✨ cool ✨ places to hangout.

So any potential userbase is already stretched very thin, as people find- or have already found, their preferred spot.

On a more personal level, I think Discord and Reddit are trashy af hangouts.

Discord has severe security issues and Reddit is a constant dumpster fire full of stupidity and clap backs trying to boost fragile egos.

Well, I mean... to each their own. But give me a slightly dead forum board any day, over other forms of social media.

With that all said, I haven't had any problems getting or starting roleplays here. There's been a few duds, for sure, but that hasn't discouraged me from playing.

Hey guys!

I just wanted to extend my apologies to you all for disappearing. Irl has been a pain and it's been keeping me from participating in roleplaying to the fullest.

I wanted you guys to know that I think you're all pleasant to work and write with. And that hopefully, in the future with irl allowing, that maybe we'll all write together again someday.

Anyways, thanks so much for playing! I had tons of fun reading your wonderfully creative IC responses!

And a very important thank you for @Estylwen. For completely taking over, when I initially had to leave. My departure was sudden, even for me. I'm so sorry I had to leave you to do all the GM work, but am so very grateful you didn't just drop the rp.

Even if this rp was short and sweet, I feel like I've learned quite a bit about GMing and am incredibly grateful for your help.

So thanks, you guys, for such a fun roleplay!
