Avalon looked towards where FM pointed then turned to him
"Thank you, Principal FM! I appreciate it." She took her cart of supplies to the shield and began to put the various items on the shield, organizing it as she wanted. Blankets went over the top and she use a few hooks as well. Once she was done, Avalon stood back to see if it looked like the weight was evenly distributed on the shield. She was satisfied.

Avalon was too busy looking for any and all medical equipment. She had a cart upon which she was organizing her 'equipment'.
SHe was not even really listening to anyone for she needed to be prepared. Bandages, wraps, salves, potions,blankets and more were piled up onto the cart. She did take a large movable shield to protect herself as she traveled. At the moment she was trying to figure out a way to attach the cart and the shield together so that she only had to push one thing.

Bessie chuckles at the two men wanting to be the first to choose a dance. Particularly when no one but Mictlantecuhtli knew which dance number would be her first date.

"I guess that mother would have taught me those recipes as she did the ones she did teach me. But I was it was decided that I should come here instead of learning my parents ways. I fear that they died after I left. died of a broken heart...... They feared formal schooling for some reason. But maybe they live still." Avalon spoke softly as she gazed about.
"I guess I will find out one day. Now let's see what is in here......" Avalon spoke to change the subject. She would not admit it but in some ways she was just as superstitious as any other person from her village.

"There is a rather a lot of small problems. The book has been recopied with inferior paper and ink, which means that there are holes in the pages
and some of the ink is faded out in a few areas. The binding was taken off for resale since it was said to be gold inlaid with jewels encrusted. All I have left are the pages that my mother had left. There are a number of books that belong to her that I have not read. I am after recipes for healing- not diary entries." Avalon explained in her own way.
"I have recopied what I could read and am now deciphering what I can't read."
