You have lasers, you make them fancy.

So, if I am understanding what you mean, this is to say that I can have a faction with kinetic weapons that are on par with more advanced counterparts?
Hmmm. I may be interested, but would like a more concise explanation as to just how much of a gap there is between the Major/Minor nations, both technologically and militarily.
Hmm.
The CiS didn't really have any sentient races that actually fought. They were all droids. Any actual organics who fought were always ship captains and generals.

They were actually quite a few CIS affiliated sentients who fought in the war, most notably the Geonosians, Umbarans, and the Quarren during the Mon Calamari Civil War. While it is still true that a large majority of the CIS' military might was through droids, they still had meatbags fighting for them.

I've got some mild interest, by the by, not just dropping a comment and leaving. I am also quite fluent in the lore, being as I am a massive fan of the setting o3o
Still hanging around, just have a lot of stuff going on elsewhere that requires my attention. I'll have a post up when I've got the time for it.

I wasn't feeling very cheery at the time so I wrote that instead of something like "Can I join :)"
I probably will have enough time. :) I promise to be more cheery and optimistic from now on :P.
Also @Alfhedil Do you mind if I have an adapted race of humans that can work near your great forest? I know it's poisonous but they wouldn't be entering it just working on the border, cutting down trees. It's fine if you don't want me tampering with it.

Start up a PM with me on your idea, and we can work something out. I do have some things I'll need to clarify on the forest itself, but I'm sure something amenable can be worked out :)
I think the part where I said 'proposition' was missed.

Normally, when your proposition involves removing part of another player's land, you contact them first ;)

@Flagg See the X on the map.

That's cute, hope you enjoy your neighbors o.~ But seriously, get a PM going with me if that's the spot you want to stick with, I'd like to keep my direct neighbors as informed as possible on the dangers of the forest and what they can expect.

Yup, I imagine they could have used that river to sail into the Deeping Ocean. That or we can slice the wasteland forest in half near the bottom. >.>

Specially for just one player, but I'll be adding the details in the PAd later I think. ^^

Whether you approve of the size of the forest or not, gives you no right to start partitioning it out and cutting pieces off to yourself to repurpose for your own cities.

Khan, if you wanted to work in a portion of that land, and needed proximity to someone or another, and the forest was proving a problem with that, you could have always PM'd me, and the option is still open. I am normally a very flexible person when it comes to accommodating others around me, especially if it would lead to interactions in the IC. That being said, despite being imposed upon like this, I am still open for discourse on the matter, and you can PM me to work something out.

Darkmatter, I'm frankly disappointed in you. To suggest breaking up another player's land like that, without even the GM or affected player present?
Is there room in this?

Very likely, feel free to drop by our chatzy.
@Alfhedil Good to hear! Assuming that's still the case when s/he is on I've already got a city state in mind.

Another question since I can't seem to find anything official- what's the tech level limit? The nation I plan to use is extremely tech heavy and I expect to have to downgrade it significantly, but knowing how far I'll need to go would be appreciated. I'm getting a 16th-17th century vibe, so I assume it's around there?

This was asked in chatzy last night, and I'll copy+paste Flagggggggggggggggg's reply:

Flagg: renaissance/30 years war tech 23:44
Flagg: so guns and cannons are a thing 23:44
Flagg: we're not at the tech where guns have totally supplanted melee weapons 23:46
Flagg: if that helps 23:46
Flagg: arquebus and early muskets 23:49
Flagg: matchlock and flintlock I'll accept 23:52
