Standard bearers aren't officers, and the officers of Special Weapons teams don't even get laspistols, so there is nothing to use the bolt pistol to replace.

You do realize, how my char is described right? She looks more human - than that goatman your pestering.

The most visible signs she has - is that her ears are ontop of her head and her armor has a different color. That is it. And she wears a helmet, to cover those ears.

Any claws she has, is hidden under gloves and boots. Her more fur-covered body under armor. Her canines are in her mouth. And her eyes visible only when you stare at her. The rest of her body is similar to an average Cadian woman.

Plus, compared to the 'other' abhumans strains in the Imperium (beside Ogryns and Ratlings) - some of which include, elongated eyes. I figure, she is rather normal looking. And in the dark - how would you tell the difference?

The lowest level that receives them are Squad leaders (Sergeants, occassionally Lieutenants depending on the regiment). Neither standard bearers nor pyrotechnic officers would be able to actually get them without running into some sort of trouble. By Codex terms, you're either a Special Weapons Squad member or a Standard bearer, neither of which is entitled to a bolt pistol. It would be obvious it's spoils of war.

John had barely heard the snap of the las pistol and merely pointed a middle finger in the direction of the sound, and kept on stomping towards the Guardsmen. Only when adressed did he lazily turn to look. "Ugh" he thought. He would walk over to the commander, with the demolition charge in tow. He would shoot a glare to the Cadian he was previously marching on, and shout "You're lucky I won't tell them about your little acquisition, bitch." He had read nearly every piece of official literature, as well as recovered uplifting primers and such. She was not supposed to have a bolt-pistol, and snitching was oh, so attractive at this moment. He would finish his walk to Johanna, and look down on her, both physically and metaphorically, breathing in her face as he did so. "Arrogance, is not a virtue. I came to test my strength, to go against a challenge and have a record smitten by the other opponent. Maybe if you and the others were not so deaf, you would know the nature of the fight to come. Oh yes. Flog me, baby." he would finish, sarcastically.

When the Kata came he listened curiously, shrugging when she finished. He pretended he didn't give a crap, but he was excited, excited as ever. He did not have anything to live for back here. He was no longer a paper pusher, he was the man who had shaky hands because he shot too many bullets. This was what he should have been doing his whole life. The other bastards here, the ones moaning about their service and hardships, they were too pathetic to realize what an opportunity they were given. Nearly all of these Guardsmen were shameful displays of humanity, they were of inferior stock. Yet he and his Frateris Militia Brothers now had another war, another place to fight! They could continue exterminating the enemies of man!

He did not notice the Commissar who strolled over to him either, until he placed a hand on him; instincts made his own thick hand shoot out to grab it. He would keep strong grip on it and slowly lower it. Then lean over to whisper to the man. "This was an honourable challenge, which was taken up. Admittedly my means to initiate were not good, but the ends justify the means. Next, do not call me son, 'sir.'" he said, trying to stop a laugh. "I have nothing left to give to the Imperium but my life, so as you put it, I will use it to do the right thing. If removing corruption is the right thing, so be it. Finally, do not associate me with these wretches, I am not one of your own. If you do not know what transpired, which you do not, your judgement is flawed." He would turn wholly to him now an offended stare and somewhat angry look on his face. He did not like being touched.

@Andreyich technically a inquisitor could exterminatus a shrine world if he felt the need and not have to get permission from the ecclisiarchy. Inquisitors really answer only to themselves

I) You have a single civilian with a gun. Whom can't authorize any connection to the Ecclessiarchy - else its BLAM to the nearest Priest who allowed it. Since Men under Arms is HERESY!

II) The Ordo Hereticus has been charged with watching over the Ecclessiarchy - and they can easily BLAM or EXTERMINATUS any planet they wish. Look at the War of Disbelief, if you don't believe it.

III) And look at the Imperium as a whole. Do you think, any trigger happy civilian would be wagered over a Imperial Guardsman? As easily as some Priest can make-up a story - said IGs can easily make-up a story of you spouting HERESY and a Commisar BLAMing you for it.

IV) And then its a Commisar + the IGs + all their arnaments vs your priest with his chainsword. I am wagering of the Imperial Guardsmen here - since they aren't the Emperor' Hammer for nothing.

2) Well it has not been invoked, has it? Yup, it has not.

3) no but the Frateris Militia has it's own military grade gear and sometimes even has ancestral archaeotech because random people dig up family heirlooms and such for it. Plus, lower Priests and Preachers are generally held above even Lord Commissars in some cases.

4) It's not a one man army, there is a fuckton of more Frateris Militia members. She pulled the gun on me, I'm getting people to screw off, I've got the plausible deniability here.
