while tru, quantity != quality, the fact is there's enough good writers out there with diverse enough interests to fit most niches apart from the unrealistically specific i.e. kitten beheading RP

If you enjoy my posts then consider pressing here to see my 1x1 interest check.

About me:
Where do I begin. I'm from Belarus, and fairly proud of it. I've been RPing about a decade starting mostly with chat stuff and some LARPs/reenactments, doing the stuff of this site for maybe half a decade now. I'm a former serviceman, and while I was conscripted I make sure to stay in related circles. As a day job I'm a programmer letting me usually work from home even when we don't have coronavirus forcing us to do so and thus I got a lot of time for RP.

Bump I guess.
We've got two, hopefully this bump will get it to a four.
(repost from here: roleplayerguild.com/topics/159002-burn.. )

It was only a few years ago when the UED was driven out of Koprulu, it was only a bit more when the Confederates fell to the Dominion. Nothing's changed. Guns might look flashier and you get more A.I. around, but it's all the same. Zerg and Protoss have more or less fucked off, they still come around to do some nasty shit every once in a while though. Let me tell you, if you're not from Korhal or Tarsonis, nor got a ship, you better shut the fuck up about what living you're earning, it's the way of the world. Now, where was I? Oh right, so which of these beauts do you want?

So. You're here. This is an interest check for an RP set in the Starcraft universe, heavily influenced by Firefly/Serenity. This RP will have lots of slice-of-lifey moments where you're just doing shit on your ship, however this will also have a lot of the space-cowboy themes we so love, where you use totally not FN FALs, Pythons, Deagles, M16s, etc. and can readily compete with super space magic alien swordsmen whose civilisation predate yours by aeons by the sheer power of their coolness and retro appearance. This is going to take place somewhere in the beginning of the year 2504, on the latter half of the middle of the interim between Brood War and Wings of Liberty. Your characters can (and I even encourage this!) to be as mary-sue as possible although as you can imagine, without contradicting lore. Your characters can be almost any human; an ex-pirate, a survivor of the UED fleet, some Confederate who's just given up fighting, a poor chap who lost confidence in the dominion or just some random joe running away and looking to get a new life travelling and doing cool shit. I would like at least two PCs to have some past with each other. Someone would have to be captain, of course when you get your ship. This RP would need a bare minimum of four people to work though more would be preferable. You only need barebones knowledge of the SC world to participate.

I'll also warn you that there will be lots of 90s/2000s nostalgia and references as SC1/BW (the best of the series) had a lot of them. So... yeah, join up folks. I'll make an IC the moment there is interest.

I was thinking of something exactly like this in the Starcraft universe.
@Wraithblade6
Across the multiverse, you will always find someone analogous to the saracens, who just like them should be put to the sword. Deus Vult, Emperor Protects, etc.
@Leidenschaft
Sorry it's a bit short m8, can add more meat in the next one in case Victor caught anything fucky.
"Oh fuck." Victor said, running along to the sound of gunshots with his own gun out, hopping over cars and the sort. He quickly stands down and holsters his weapon when he realizes there does not seem to be a threat. He kneels down beside the wounded officer, pulling out a silk handkerchief and his knife to help out the hurt man. "You're going to be alright. He's a tough one, we'd like someone like him wouldn't we chief?" he asked, alleviating the mood a little with a joke towards Ben and the bleeding bastard. "Looks like we got ourselves a weird fuck, poor soul." he said, pointing to the number thirteen. "Illuminati my ass, you want someone to blame for being a fuck up it's only you." he said whilst trying to recognise the tattoos, but he simply couldn't!

The man more or less treated by Victor, he helped him up, dialing 911 on his phone. "Come on big guy, let's get you to a hospital." he said, motioning for Ben to grab his other arm. His mind kept replaying the words “They had a fucking woman, man.” in his head. He tugged at his pistol, and looked about. "Wonder where the fuck she went." He decided to look about, in case he missed some sign of the "woman" which he only realised, was making him feel odd. The merc kept an eye out, hand ready to point something that could take at least a hundred lives in a minute at whatever he didn't like the look of.

I went modest with just two mono blades.
Pacing up and down the armoury, Kurt was quite impressed. It certainly was lot of guns. His brow wrinkled but then aided by the method of loci, he remembered exactly what the Kroot were. He scoffed, not particularly worried unless a few of them already ate an Astartes and used their method of shaping. That would be a problem.

Eventually, he came upon exactly what he wanted. He selected himself a Stalker bolter, taking one magazine of each kind of ammunition they had available. He took an all too familiar gladius, a phobos pattern bolt pistol (preferring it to the less gory standard bolt pistols), several krak and frag grenades, a cameleoline cloak, and finally a demolition charge surprisingly well concealed about his person. He knew it could come particularly useful against some of their larger beasts. As an afterthought he took a combat knife too, deciding it would pair well with the gladius. Prepared at last he would stand to attention, salute, and tell his brothers of his readiness. He could have picked the sniper to stay even further away from the real fighting, but he decided that if ambushed it would be worse.
