300 Cuirassiers (British Volunteers): Armed with lances/spears, sabres, and a variety of revolvers and other pistols. They are veterans of the Crimean war and also carry cuirasses and cuirassier helmets potentially stopping pistol bullets or shrapnel and deflecting bayonets/swords extremely well. Their horses are of excellent quality and breed.
2 Gatling Guns (one .58 calibre, one .30) with 6 engineers and 3 horses for each set: These two weapons have ample ammunition and are General Smith's "wild card." With the Confederates possessing few of these weapons he expects there to be considerable morale and shock value, not to mention the sheer killing power against large formations.
2 10lb, 2 20lb, 2 30 lb, 2 200lb, 2 300lb
Parrott Guns: Each has 5 men and 4 horses working to supply, move and operate them, with the last three variations having 2 more horses towing a cart due to difficulty transporting this siege artillery not suited for field combat.
2 12 lb and 1 24 lb
Coehorn mortars (three engineers per one of the first, four for the latter with each team getting one horse): although relatively short ranged and quite inaccurate, the rapid rate of fire and lightness of these weapons allows them to be carried around swiftly and put into new positions at will, although because they are carried by hand the men may get tired and simply give up demanding rest.
258 Kalapuya and assorted Natives: Native Americans mostly from the Kalapuya tribe. Though they care not for the civil war's politics they have a personal grudge against some of the men they are to be fighting and so formed an irregular division. They have a wide array of weapons including but not limited to spears and axes (both throwing and hand-to hand) bows, and weapons taken off of dead soldiers like revolvers, sabres and all sorts of rifles. They have a varied purpose from skirmishers to scouts to shock infantry if they can get a good flank.
1400 Riflemen: Conscripts with minimal training and preparation for war. However, the general has from his own pocket armed them entirely with 1841
Dreyse Needle Guns. He was also able to purchase large stores of ammunition for them but ran out of money to pay for bayonets and slings on them. As such they are typically divided into large groups of about 700 each (both groups having a 100 man coloured division side guard) so that as a group they have the morale to withstand the casualties they will take from superior ranged confederate rifles, for once their Dreyse rifles are in range they have far more firepower and can make swift work of rebels.
Coloured Division (200 men): Exactlty the same as the standard riflemen except they have more morale for they are fighting for their freedom.
