Fallout Tactics has death claws that can talk, scary killer robots, and the ability to have a tank. It just doesn't... Sit well with the rest of lore.

Next segment with Ariin, why does Ariin have fresh strawberries and can he bake the cake and get it to Sigma before someone turns him in? Or Lorenzo takes the cake from him.
AtomicNut and Apollosarcher

Ariin escaped the room after hearing about promotions, deciding now would be a good time for his less than legal hobby. He went into the cafeteria and collected his meal, then he set about finding a way back behind the counter and into the kitchen. He sat down at a table, watching the cooks and serves carefully as well the few camera's in the room. He was cassing the place for a daring theft, to make a cake, oh how the once great thief had fallen.

"Heeeeey....bro, twitchyeye...whadeva." 'Sigma's' voice was heard behind the young daring pilot. Her petite frame swayed back and forth, a flask of a strong liquor in her hand. In her breath. She was flat out drunk, with her plugsuit half undone, and obviously leaning a little bit too much in Ariin's personal space."Whatcha doin'?"

Something wasn't right. She couldn't get so drunk too quickly, much less teleport into the cafeteria that quickly.

That wasn't Sigma. The real Sigma was just crossing the cafeteria´s door, one of her hands clasped in her mouth, letting a little gasp as the emotions overwhelmed her.

"Iota..." the REAL Sigma said, discovering the double's true appearance.

Ariin was a little worried at first, granted he had twin sisters but well Iota and Sigma looked, even sounded the same. He looked at Sigma, mouthing the word help then smiled at Iota.

"Hi Iota? Something I can help you with?" He asked trying to be friendly, he knew this girl was drunk but she was still a trained fighter. If she was looking for payback, well he'd have quite the fight before him. Still he hoped Sigma could come over and fix this, he really didn't want to admit he was preparing to steal supplies for a cake... Lorenzo would eat him alive or have Irina do it for him.

Sigma stood there, flabbergasted. The usual calm and collected pilot did nothing, her eyes darting forth and back. She tried to stretch a hand, and do a step, but to no avail.

"You, fuckin' twitchdumbeye." Iota staggered as she pulled her hair back, plopping in a chair, almost not miracously falling over. "Give em back. My fellow clo...sisssters. GIVE THEM BACK. YOU ALL FUCKING MURDERERS!" She yelled on top of her lungs, before breaking into sobs, no doubt influenced by the alcohol, but also by a state of immense grief. "It...fucking hurts...we dolls, fucking hurt...y'know. You're cruel gods..." Iota blabbered.

"And you're the worst of them, Siggy Piggy!" Iota babbled."You fuckin' held back. On me. You had mercy on me. Well, do you feel better now? You only spared me, a..." she took another swig of her booze..."fucking underage drunyard doll. Ain't you feeling now a bit better, like the...the.." She got up, before pathetically tumbling backwards..."Holy Virgin Mary or whateves..."

Ariin sighed, looking away from her, Iota wasn't lying, he had killed that girl another clone, dolls as they seemed to be called. He didn't want to, hell he didn't do going in that they were going to die. He tears up a little when he was how she cried, he could only remember how he would feel if he lost his siblings. "Sigma's not to blame." He said getting up taking the booze away from the clone.

"Neither are you. It's this war, the things they are allowed to get away with, it's because their is a war on." He stood up offering her a hand up. "You are not a doll in my eyes, your the same as me... A human being, same as Sigma over there humans. My allies, people I should be protecting and serving alongside not killing because Lorenzo orders it." He answered flatly staring at Iota. "I'm sorry I killed your sister, hell I'm sorry I never got to meet her. You've got to know I didn't know who the pilots were going in."

He sat down on the bench, reaching into suit, he'd tucked a picture just inside his collar. "Here take a look. I've got sisters to... My only family. I would be in the same you are now if I lost them. You need to live though, you really think they would be proud of you drinking and crying, yelling at some guy to bring them back?" He asked offering her a hand up off the ground.

Sigma stood there, silently taking each one of her daggers, each one of Iota's grieving statemets. "...I...I knew the pilots. I realized it as soon we heard the first one die... but, what...could...I...I'm just...a doll...too. I must...I tried..." Sigma staggered. "I tried to twist the orders...eliminate without killing, but I couldn't command others...I'm just a failure." She began walking towards Iota.

Iota looked first at Ariin, her words becoming slow..."We're not human...it's okay for y...you to kill us. We're manmade humans. Sigma and I...Homunculus project." She stuttered, before continuing. "But Sigma is the success...she's meant to become a real person...and she squanders it...BY SHOWING MERCY AND..."

Sigma's reflexes fired up, as Iota convulsed and lashed, grabbing Ariin before Iota's lunge was proven fatal. And the gunk came out of her mouth like a geiser.

Vomit was a bitch to clean from suits.

"That was close..."

"Well that's not pretty." Ariin sighed looking at Sigma. "Sigma... She's wrong, being human means having compassion, mercy, and caring for others. Irina is the real monster, the way she acted I'd say your more human than her." He answered. "Why don't you watch her for a moment... I'll get something to clean up with." He smiled a little, his robotic eye turning blue. He had a perfect moment for a good caper while the staff were distracted by Iota.

Ariin patted Sigma's head then headed out of her view slipping towards the kitchen, hoping to be in and out before Sigma got curious as to why he went this way. He had a feeling she would report him either way, even if he was doing this for her.

Sigma tilted her head, an inquisitive gesture in her mind, her social graces failing to garner any kind of meaning behind that pat on the head. Her eyes were set on Iota's trembling, gasping figure.

"Iota." Sigma clenched her fist. "I've made many blunders... but you're the one blunder I do not regret. If you were dead, you couldn't talk back to me one last time, yes?" Her hands reached for her clone, shouldering her weight and straightening her up.

"Dum spiro, spero." Sigma said. "While I breathe and hope."

"Heh, you sound like Alpha, Sigma. I'm supposed to be the eldest...one. But somehow..." Iota chuckled so slightly.

"I suppose that being exposed to others made me rethink my identity, not as an extension as Irina...but as myself." Sigma added. "And now...you'll do it too."

Iota looked at Sigma, at loss. She had no words for what the fellow clone said. Finally, she managed to piece something together. "Sig..gy...I think...no...he headed from where I snatched the booze..."

"WHAT?" Sigma exclaimed.

"Pa-pantry raid...just like we used to do, no?" Iota smirked, before being unceremonously tossed into a chair, letting a yelp.

"PILOT ARIIN!" Sigma raised her voice as she stomped towards where he had gone.

Ariin had just finished getting the boxes of strawberries, the last thing he needed. When he heard Sigma yell his name, he rushed out stuffing a strawberry in her mouth he glared her. "Shut up, I'm stealing you a cake. I promised you one and no way in help would Lorenzo let a known thief have free roam in the kitchen." He added showing her the ingredigents. "I got enough that I can make one big enough you can share with Iota now please stop yelling." He finished speaking as watched the camera's rotation.

"Mmmrfuf." Sigma's quells were rapidly silenced as the red, juicy morsel made its way into her mouth. She didn't talk more, but... something outrageous happened.

A pout.

Sigma.Was.Pouting.

And, upon seeing that, the mentally unstable Iota couldn't hold it.

She laughed hysterically, falling in the floor as she did so. And incidentally, drew the attention of the guards.

Ariin ducked out of the cafeteria, finding an old abandoned looking locker he stuff the food inside. Then returned the room and chuckled a little at Sigma, pouting, that was pretty funny considering how up tight she was when they met. "Well Siggy you are growing as person, now why don't I help you get Iota back to her room before he rolls in her own puke? Then we can see out your cake? After all, I bet you and Iota have never had a birthday party." He patted her head as he started towards the drunk girl.

"Stop doing that." Sigma's pout fiercely intensified. "Unless you want to see how much I can resemble Irina." The young pilot snarled in annoyance. "And for your information, I can make birthday cakes aswell..."

"She ends up eating the biggest share, though." Iota vocalized, after her fit. "Siggy is a sugar maniac." The other clone ventured to say. "Aaaand...OW" She cut herself short as an upside down fist collided with her head.

"Come on, you damn drunk doll." Sigma finally said, before grabbing her by the collar of the plugsuit into the living quarters.

Ariin chuckled as Iota spoke. "Sigma I wouldn't I was younger than you and smaller when I killed two grown men, armed soldiers... With my bare hands." He warned her, knowing that in close quarters he could be quite fighter. "Now you and Iota go... Oh and Siggy, I do want you to know that I'm your friend... And if anyone calls you a doll... Well I already told what happened to the last guys who threatened someone I cared for." He gave her a smile, eye even giving a happy face as he turned to go recover his stolen goods and bake a cake.
Matthew slowly neared the Manakete who now munched on a Meat pie he was pretty sure was supposed to be his, or Saya's. He sat down near her carefully. "Well I've only met once... Pretty recently, she said I supposed to be Naga's champion and stop the Church's madness." He told the Manakete woman, now simply ignoring his sisters attempts to protect from a woman who could easily snap his head off. "So your really Manakete... Wow, I mean there's a lot in the books about your race and there powers. I even found an old recipe book in library on foods Manaketes like to eat, most of them were either packed with sugar or meat." He wondered allowed, in truth that was not all he learned he learned that Manaketes were more dragon than human in some ways. One book had even climbed that rubbing behind their ears was an easy way to calm them and reassure them, Matthew was not willing to risk his life for that confirmation.

He looked towards the new arrival getting up once more and walking towards her. "Hello, sorry for all the commotion were trying to set the Shepherds set back up here in the old base." He answered with gently, apologetic smile. "Were you here looking to join the Shepherd as well or did you have another reason for coming here?" He asked as he tried to straighten his robes a little, revealing the sword and spell books at his sides. Matthew moved out of her way now as looked towards Saya and then at the crowd as a whole. These were what they had so far for Shepherds... Well at least they were eager to fight against the Church. He just hoped he could keep them working together and avoid them harming each other.

Bern turned to look Chloetta carefully. "I am fine, yes it is a pity we lost so many good men and women today." He answered. "I am fine, I am however assigning you and Genna along with a small force each to look for attempt to stop the heretic champion." He told Chloetta as he finished up his paper work, his tent already neatly packed he would collapse it soon along with the others they would leave. "This letter is for you, a small group of our soldiers are waiting for you along the mountains near the border. Genna will arrive to reinforce after you make your way in to Ylisse itself." He told her offering the letter, signifying her command.

"While you work on that, I'll lead the main body of forces towards the ports and secure them so reinforcements from Valm can land safely ensuring a quick victory, perhaps I'll even kill the Bandit Queen while we head that way" Bern smiled at that, knowing if she could be killed then the hordes would go back causing chaos across Plegia with no one leading them. Bern got up slowly, beginning to tear down his tent himself. "Don't worry Chloetta, after all that so called Champion should be easy for some one known as the light prodigy." He smiled as looked towards a the few cavaliers they had at the camp. "Take our cavaliers as escorts and head out, the wounded will receive proper aid once we join the main army." He said tying his bags on to one of the horse's they used to cross the sands.

Sules nodded. "Well if you want to reach the border by tonight, I can help!" He smiled and waved back towards the village, soon an imposing red haired woman walked over leading a horse.

"What is it Sules? Whose this guy?" She asked, her hand wrapped wrapped around her sword, which seemed to be stained with blood.

Sules smiled and looked towards her. "Vera this Guillame, he's heading for Ylisse. We have a letter that's supposed to go Ylisse right?" He jumped up and down a little like an excited child.

"Yes we do... Alright, so we give him a horse and ask him to make the delivery of the letter? Sounds good to me, I want to get my warriors moving, we need to secure the other towns encase those stupid Naga lovers come back." She grumbled throwing the reins towards Guillame.

Sules smiled, offering him a letter with the seal of Plegia's council on it. "This needs to reach Ylisstol, hopefully the Exalt or Andres. Most the towns in Ylisse have messenger system, so just bring it to them and see they send it off. In exchange you can have a horse with three days supply of food and water. Oh and if you take the horse and forget to deliver the letter, I'll turn you into newt and leave to dry up in the sun next time I see you!" The boy smiled and giggled a little as he and Vera waited for Guillame's response.
@Draconequis But... I liked Felicia in Fates... She's kind of funny and cute in her own way.

@Demous I do agree the same sex couples thing was weird. How I don't think incest is as big a deal in Japan, or at least more accepted. I think they might have localized and changed some of the brother and sisters react to it all, granted I could be wrong. However they did change a bunch of characters... Hisame is now all about pickles, which is just weird.

Hisame's greatest hits.
Ariin stood up as Lorenzo was leaving. "Sir, even still my duty was to do my best to protect my team and with incomplete targeting data I could have hurt more than I helped. I had to open my hatch, it was my best bet to take out the target, I was blind any way if I was to be any of use I had to risk myself. Call me an idiot if you will sir, but if that was real combat and I was blind stuck deep in an enemy combat zone I'd do the same thing, better to die fighting then to just stop and wait for the end." He said waiting to hear the announcement for who would be made squad leader, he wondered if it would be Harold, he did have experience though he could a bit of jerk. Lora might be a good fit, yet she would have adjust to leading all of them in battle.

Ariin Sorus, while not ambitious did wonder silently if he even had a chance at a position like that? He did have experience leading a small squad in simulations. He also was quite the prodigy for someone his age, apparently having a rather natural talent with his Famewerk. If he was named squad leader he'd have to be tough on them, even Sigma and Elora. He would earn the respect of the others, that went for anyone Lorenzo named in his book, he could say who was the best fit for the job was but at the end of the day, the squad itself would decide who they wanted in charge. Few could argue that point, he'd seen it before officers whose power only came when their NCO agreed with them.

Ariin now hoped he might get that chance, to lead them failing that he would like to at least assist in leading the squad or even helping plan strategy's. He might not have been a genius but he had training and skills to back up his talk, in truth he'd accept whatever Lorenzo said. He just wanted to make sure the whole squad could get along and work with one another, since if they couldn't they would probably end up fighting on battlefield. Out there a petty squabble could get hundreds hurt or killed, especially since they would a front line fighting force in the war against the Cruxi. He also pondered if he could sneak into the cafeteria and back that cake for Sigma, he did promise her a strawberry cake and a Sorus never forgot a promise.

@AtomicNut Yay! I am the highest synch male still, soon I will awaken my true potential... A turtle shell version of the Legion.
@AirBender Well I'm glad it's not as serious as it was before. I do hope he is okay and that it's nothing bad, hopefully they can just remove it if comes to that and the growth is nothing to worry about.
Totals now updated.
@Ardent Dawn Well at least it doesn't have a bad motivator.
Matthew looked first at the swordsman who called him Mack. "My names Matthew..." He said rather carefully pulling his hand away from the sword as he then looked to the giant of a man in front of him. Jerod he said his name was, his accent was thick, he must have been from Ferox, probably further north than your average Feroxi citizen. They both seemed nice enough, it had been about a couple hours since his and Saya's return of course Andres always had a talent for spreading the word fast. No doubt Isa would sending some of her soldiers to join them, she probably wanted to be here herself but she was needed to help the army.

He decided to trust the large man, he might not have been a mercenary but no one would volunteer for this unless they really wanted to help. "Alright Jerod, I would be happy to have you along!" The tactician answered giving him a smile, as he started past Saya and towards the door. Of course, he was soon cut off when a young woman, Cynthia, as she introduced to him and Saya. She talked as if the old barracks were some sort of hide out, perhaps she had been using them for research of some sort.

He would question her on why she was using the old barracks later, for now he shook her hands and bowed his a little. "Thank you for offering your service lady Nocturne, I'm sure having a dark mage along will be of great help to us all." The books were getting really quite heavy now, so he started quickly towards the door hoping to go inside and put them down. Little did the tactician know he was about to be rather surprised, he saw the unmistakable head of Manakete watching from the door.

It startled the young man greatly, his books flying in to the air as he fell back. "Manakete!?" He said staring at the female Manakete he had spotted as he sat on the ground. He started to brush himself off as he looked at her. "Wow... She looks so different from lady Tiki." He said then blushed as he stood up looking at her. "Sorry about that... I'm Matthew, what's your name?" He asked Mars with a gentle smile. Before he start to try and collect his dropped books, this volumes were rather rare he hoped he hadn't damaged them badly when he dropped them.
