More like this is a supposed to be a stab in the back gone wrong. I was originally thinking that a third party could pick up the scraps of Luthier, fix him and send him off so that he would get stronger, but I've got way too many characters already.

The main problem is that he has to think he's won through the entire thing, whether that means someone saves him or he survives by pure luck. Rowan can't know that he didn't kill his brother.

So if Alecto came into the fight, how would it affect it? I would think Rowan would love the act of being able to defeat his weak older brother himself. Would she be able to mess the fight up? That's mostly the problem.
No, she would have shown no interest in the prince... until he loses that is, so she decides to well, encourage his attitude afterwards. Of course helping him in the fight would defeat the purpose of encouraging his ambition and resent.
Actually two things. Can i join in the princes' fight as Alecto (which she recently infiltrated, but after seeing the division decides to grow closer to the second prince).
Also i might do an intro post about how Pukka is trying her hand at divination and thinks how she must have screwed up because she has a very bad omen.
