Kila gave Zach some instructions to turn the monkey bars into an extension ladder. The entire time Zach wondered who died and made him leader of this group that he could boss people around? That was his job. He was the celebrity of this group. Moreso than that wannabe Felix for sure. He liked Ja more. Ja was fun. This whole multiple personality stuff was a pain But, Zach hated this assignment. It was like high school all over again. He wanted to get out of this obstacle course with his dignity intact, so he would play ball, at least for now.

Now all Zach had to do was figure out the right words to achieve the desired effect. Logomamcy was not as easy as he made it look. You needed to be clear about what you wanted or things could haywire. He took a breath and said “reddal otni srab.” while pointing to the monkey bars with his wand. The metal monkey bars floated off the ground surrounded by magical sparkles, and twisted and formed themselves into an extension ladder. ”There, it’s done. That’s one spell down, and one left to go. Hope it’s worth it!”

Meanwhile, Zach could see the other half of the group doing the obstacle from the other side. Rain had thrown Casper across the gap. Is that really how they were going to get across? By throwing each other. How barbaric. Although, he would love to toss Casper across the room. His cousin already had a protege, him. Why did she need another for? Was he not good enough? Not to mention the creep factor.

Zach shrugged off the unpleasant thoughts and turned his attention back to the rest of his team.

Alonzo blushed, and escaped Conner’s grip, and introduced. Conner smirked. That was not a rejection? Did he actually have a chance with this guy? Who knows. There was still plenty of weekend left. Alonzo threw his bag in his direction ran over to the other guy’s side. Conner couldn’t exactly blame him... He was handsome and had a cute dog to boot.

Alonzo rolled up his sleeves, exposing the tattoos on his arms, which Conner did not expect. This guy seemed like the shy quiet type, and not really the type to have a whole sleeve tattoos. Then he worked his magic, and healed the guy’s arm. Conner picked up Alonzo’s bag, and strode over to him. “Nice! But dude, we have got to talk about this awesome ink!” He took Alonzo’s right arm with a tattoo of the sea, with a Kraken beneath the waves. “Who did it?”

Pokemon: Chronicles

Asa did all he could to comfort the poor Pidove. In the end, they both agreed to take the baby Pokémon to the Center. They were professionals, and they would know what to do.

When they got there, they got a nurses attention, who assessed the condition of the Pidove, and got their names and what track they were in. Nurse Rosemary took the Pidove to the back, then came out a few minutes later with another nurse named Joanna who offered to show Tim the Egg Ward. Tim’s eyes lit up. This wasn’t what he was expecting when he came here, but he was excited to see some eggs, and maybe some cute baby Pokémon while he was there. After they reassured them that Pidove would be ok, Tim took up the offer.

Tim followed Joanna down the hallway to the Egg Ward. The room was different from the rest of the sterile center. The walls were colorful, and images of cute Pokémon were depicted on the walls. It was designed to be appealing to baby Pokémon.

The most important feature was all the eggs that were being cared for. Each one had a reason for why they had to be there. Tim felt bad them as Joanna pointed them out. He hoped these eggs would hatch into healthy baby Pokémon one day.

Then they came up to a large gold and red egg. Joanna explained that egg had been in the ward for a while, and it would not hatch. No one knew why the baby didn’t want to come up. Joanna explained that Pokémon can actually hear what’s going on inside the egg. He had read about that theory before, and decided to test if that was true. He quietly approached the egg, and spoke to it softly. ”Hey little guy… You don’t know me but um… I understand why you wouldn’t want to come out. The world can be a scary place sometimes… If I had a safe place to hide, I wouldn’t want to come out either. But… you should still come out… The world isn’t scary all the time… There are some good people in the world, and one day you can find somebody who will love and care for you like you deserve… There’s no rush though… You can take your time… But there will be people here who care when you’re ready…”

Tim sighed and walked away from the egg. He doubted it would actually do anything. If the baby Pokémon didn’t want to come out, what good would a complete strangers words do? It was worth a shot though.

I'm having some professional movers coming to grab my stuff tomorrow. (Even though I expected to get this done on the weekend. Oh well.) So I have to get everything packed. Meaning I'll likely be using my phone for updates/writing posts for a bit.

Zach grined and gave Aleen’a a thumbs up gesture as she busted through the wall with ease, and the group climbed through the resulting hole. Zach dusted himself off. That was a lot easier than having to climb that 12 foot monstrosity.

The next obstacle was a set of monkey bars over a large hole in the ground. On there own, not really an issue. Zach had played on monkey bars when he was kid. Or at least tried to. Sometimes jerks thought it would be funny to push him off. That ruined his recess, and he’d spend the rest of the time reading books on the playground.

Kila showed everyone up by jumping and leaping across the bars with easy. Then he called him over, referring to him as a Speech Devil Zach raised an eyebrow. ”Is he talking to me?” Honestly, it wasn’t the worst name he had ever been called.

Zach just rolled his eyes at Felix’s attempts at being funny. Honestly, how did this guy have almost as many subscribers as he does. Still, he wasn’t going to give him the satisfaction of getting upset. “As much as I would love to be carried in your sexy arms, I got this. Maybe next time.” He blew the boy a kiss and made his way across the bar while angrily mumbling to himself. “Idiot…”

He eventually made his way to where Kila was standing. A bit winded from going across those bars, but otherwise fine. Nearby, there was another large hole in the ground, seemingly without any way across. Zach could easily make a bridge over this, but Kila seemed like he had other ideas. ”So, what’s your big idea now Kitty Cat?”

Storm’s head collided with the Joltik, and sent her flying however. The bug started jumping, and it made it really difficult to hit the small bug type again. She jumped high into the air. “That’s annoying, but she can’t stay up there forever. In the meantime, use Agility to boost your speed, and then use Double Team to confuse her!

Storm started running around circles progressively picking up Speed. Then she made illusory clones of herself that were also running around in circles, making it difficult to tell which one was real.

While he couldn’t actually pay attention to the battle his friend was taking part in, the arguing of his opponents was hard to ignore. “No the reason you’re going to lose is because your fighting each other. Come on Miles, you got this dude!”

Conner couldn’t help but think this woman was a grouch. Sure, he did get her wet, but that was an accident! No one was hurt or anything. They had gotten superpowers, and were basically on vacation, and they had gotten cool superpowers, and all she could do was complain. He figured anyone willing to fork over the cash to come here would have been excited about this development.

She asked about the Bio-Tech people, and Conner blinked. “The who now?” It took a second for Conner to put it together. “Oh, right. The science peeps. Uh... nope haven’t seen em.”

Then a tall boy came out, and pointed in the direction of where the science people could be found. Conner was particularly concerned about that though. He approached the other guy, and put an arm around his shoulders. “Hello, I was hoping I’d meet a cute guy today. Guess I got lucky. Names Conner.”

Then Conner heard a whistle, and saw a dog run past him. The woman freaked out, and she accidentally shocked the guy who whistled. Another handsome dude, even if he did seem older than Conner. This day was getting better already! “I mean he looks fine to me... Well, besides that gnarly scar on his arm... They must have doctors here. They wouldn’t gather a bunch of peeps with superpowers and not be ready.”

Cypress View Retreat

Conner pulled into the parking lot of the retreat in his blue car. It took a lot of doing to get to tickets to this thing. His parents wouldn’t pay for it, so of course he had to save up the money for himself. Of course, his parents didn’t know he was here. As far as they were concerned, he was away surfing for the weekend. Naturally they didn’t approve, but Conner knew they would never approve of anything he did or didn’t do. So, he just went, approval be damned.

It would all be worth it in the end. A fun weekend away from his family, and a chance to find out about these new powers he had suddenly been bestowed with. Plus, unlike most of the stuck up snobs in his family, Conner actually enjoyed camping. Especially if they were near a beach. Though, any body of water would do really. Ever since he discovered he could move water with the movement of his hands, Conner had been having dreams about being under the ocean surrounded by seaweed. For a while, he didn’t know what that was about, and all it did was make him want to pee afterwards. It wasn’t untill he heard about this summit, and the whole plant essences thing that he put two and two together. Getting powers from seaweed. It sounded like something you would read about in a comic book!

After parking, he stepped out of his car, and looked around. Besides all the trees, there was definitely a varied assortment of people around. Most of which would probably never be around each other under normal circumstances. As he walked, he saw a blonde woman trip and fall, letting out some electricity out of her hands, and setting a small patch of grass on fire. Conner’s eyes lit up excitedly. A chance to show off what he could do! That chance was quickly over when the woman stomped out the fire herself. Strangely, the area smelled vaguely citrusy... instead of the expected scent of smoke.

”Isn’t it awesome!” Conner exclaimed as he decided to approach the woman. He would be around these people for the weekend, he may as well try to make some friends from this experience. “It’s like we’re superheroes or something! I’m Conner by the way. Watch this!” He opened up a water bottle he was carrying, and waved his hand over it causing a small stream of water to flow out. “It’s not much, but I’m hoping I can learn to do cool stuff with this in the future.” He lowered his arm, and the stream of water went flying, splashing the girl in the face. Conner struggled to hold back giggles. ”Oops!”
