My issue with GMing is once the novelty of the new idea wears off, I have no idea what to do next, and everyone is looking at me to progress the narrative.

I still haven’t watched TLOK. It’s on my long list of shows and movies to binge.

Bio

Gay, he/him, Autistic

I’m Crimson Flame and I’m addicted to RPing. But sometimes ADHD kicks in, and it takes me longer to reply to things than it should. If I’m taking too long to respond, feel free to say something. Just don’t be rude about it.

There are a bunch of RPs I like. Pokémon, Digimon, Fantasy, Superhero, it would take too long to list them all. I’m not a fan of Horror or Apocalypse settings though.

I have a particular type of character I like making. Look through my Character Sheet thread, and see if you notice what a lot of my characters have in common.

Zach joins the Justice League before his cousin. 😂
I do in fact have ADHD. So… how much Fantasy are we going for? Is there magic involved?

“…Okay good,” Zach breathed a sigh of relief after Thor started talking. “You’re talking. Huge fan of that development.”

He scrubbed a hand over his face, adrenaline finally crashing now that the immediate crisis seemed… mostly handled. The illusions above flickered once, then slowly dissolved into harmless violet sparks? “License plate? Yeah, uh…” Zach glanced at the sleigh, the unconscious Toyman, the reindeer, the green telepathic mystery guest, then back to Thor. “Pretty sure it said ‘Ho-Ho-Homicide,’ but I could be misremembering.”

When Thor thanked him, Zach’s posture straightened. “For the record,” he said, “I had absolutely no idea what I was doing. That was like… ninety percent panic magic, ten percent sheer dumb luck.”

Then Starfire was suddenly there, warm hand on his shoulder, smiling like he’d actually done something heroic instead of barely holding it together. Zach swallowed, some of the bravado slipping. “I’m… okay,” he admitted. “Kinda fried. This much magic takes a lot out of a person… But I’m standing. Nobody exploded because of me. That feels like a win.” His gaze drifted back toward Thor, then the sleigh, then the sky where the fake lightning had been.

“…This is gonna sound weird,” he added quietly, “but not that long ago, my biggest concern was whether my livestream lighting made me look washed out. Now I’m the influencer who saved Christmas!” He let out a shaky laugh. “But hey. If this is the new normal? I guess I’m in.” He rubbed the back of his neck, glancing between Thor, Starfire, and the unconscious Toyman. “Soooo… What? Are we like a team now? Do we high-five? Call the authorities? Get hot chocolate? I feel like all three are appropriate.”

I was thinking of Wonder Woman as well. Talked about @ThatDeercat playing her or a Wonder Girl before deciding on Wiccan/Asgardian.

For purely selfish reasons, I’m going to say it was a good choice.
No mention of Wonder Woman?
@King Kindred the big 3 are always:

Batman
Superman
Spider-Man.

Why am I lowkey tempted to take Spider-Man? 👀

Earlier, before the train, before the long walk toward Corinthia Manor, Soren had stopped where he always did. The cemetery was quiet at that hour. He preferred it that way. Less curious eyes. Less chance of someone interrupting what still felt like a conversation, even if he was the only one speaking. He knelt beside the modest headstone, brushing a few fallen leaves away. Caelia Virelle. The sight still hurt every time.

“Hi, Mum.” He said softly. “I’m going today. They’re… different, apparently. They don’t want us hiding. They think magic should be nurtured.” He let out a small breath that fogged in front of him. “You would’ve liked that, I think. You always said magic isn’t something we cage. It’s something we care for.”

There was silence as Soren collected his thoughts. “I don’t know if I belong there yet.” he admitted. “But I want to try. I think… I think I need to. I just wish you could see this part. I wish you could tell me if I’m making the right choice.”

After a moment, he set a small wrapped parcel beside the headstone. Sweet biscuits she used to love, then stood, brushing dirt from his knees. “I’ll take everything you taught me. I promise. I’ll tell you how it goes.” Then, he turned away, and headed for the manor. For the first time in months, he felt like he wasn’t leaving her behind.

—-

Soren lingered outside the iron gate, staring up at the manor longer than he meant to. It was beautiful in a quiet understated way. Old stone, tall windows, the kind of place you read about in fantasy novels. It looked a little lonely too. Not exactly what he’d imagined when he heard whispers about a revolutionary Coven. Somehow, that made it better. Less intimidating, more real.

His grip tightened on his satchel strap. Six months without his mother still didn’t feel real. The Elders had told him to suppress his magic after she died. For his protection, they said. He’d tried. It felt wrong, like he was suffocating.

He took a breath to calm himself, and pushed the gate open. “I’m really hoping this isn’t a terrible idea…” He murmured to himself. “I came all this way… I even brought snacks!” The joke landed flat, but at least it kept his nerves from spiraling completely.

He stepped inside, and looked around, nervous. “Hi… um… I’m Soren… I hope I’m not too early… Or too late…”
I got struck with inspiration at 1:30 AM.

Lucian looked up when Hoshi sat across from him. He let her finish before responding. “I get that,” he said softly after a pause. “Wanting to fix something yourself… wanting that closure. I’d probably feel the same.” Lucian sighed. “You care about him a lot… And I’ve seen the way he looks at you… I wish I had a boy that looked at me that way.”

Lucian let the words hang there for a second, then immediately looked down at his plate, ears faintly pink like he hadn’t meant to say that part out loud. “I mean… not specifically Alias,” he added quickly, laughing nervously. “Just… someone. Someday.”

He poked at his food absently. “You two have this connection. It’s obvious. And honestly? I think he’d want to know you’re okay just as much as you want to know he is.” Lucian glanced back up at her with a small smile. “So yeah… if going to Olympus helps you clear your head, I get it. I just don’t think you should have to carry that alone. None of us should.”
