I'll have it up by tonight around 9 or 10:00 MST.
I definitely prefer that posts be nicely formatted and I really appreciate extra effort when it comes to color and graphics and the like. I was dying inside when the guild first came back up and colored font was a feature that had yet to be applied. Spacing of paragraphs is probably the most important thing for me as well-- reading things online is, for some reason, really difficult otherwise (at least for me).

I've always highly appreciated the use of graphics as long as they are properly sized. The use of headers, hiders, and dividers is always nice, too. All that being said, I think there are times when people abuse the fantastic ability to make aesthetically beautiful posts and it makes me wish they hadn't tried at all. As cruel as that sounds, it's kind of like painting a REALLY ugly mural on a wall. It would have been better to just leave the poor wall alone.

When abused as such, we end up with the following for-the-love-of-God-PLEASE-STOP mistakes. Not everyone may agree with this list, but these are the things that typically get under my skin:

My post/character sheet is really important, so EVERYTHING is bolded and/or underlined now.

I read this post after I finished writing it and noticed how incredibly difficult to read it is, but it's my favorite color and I'm lazy. Now everyone must suffer.

[insert 100000000 x 100000000 sized image here because it's really important to me that you get a good look at my character's face. Also, what is image resizing?]

[ulr=I-misspelled-URL.com]I don't notice crucial mistakes like that when creating interest checks or submitting character sheets. It's a super easy fix and I'm going to leave it there until someone tells me to fix it. I never look back and live my life free of regrets always. Baklava wishes she could live in a state of such blissful ignorance.[/url]

I use colors to differentiate crucial things in my posts. Good luck differentiating between my color choices, though. I show no mercy to those with color vision deficiency. (In case anyone couldn't tell, I used four different shades of light yellow in that last sentence.)

@Ellri@Terminal Thank you for the link. Yeah-- I can see where this would be a more complex version of what I'm looking for. The amount of time it would take to write a response to questions like that would sort of defeat the purpose of it being a game that's just a fun time-filler, though. I can see where it could be edited slightly to rely upon shorter answers, though. Thanks!
@Sodium I noticed you went into a lot of detail with the description of the animal application. You don't have to go into that much detail if you want. I do feel bad about not getting back to you until now, so I won't hold it against you if you just convert each point into a sentence and leave it at that.
@Sodium I'm sorry-- I thought I already messaged you. Everything looks good-- I would only suggest you get the bullet list into paragraph format by the deadline, but I think you mentioned already having plans to do that.

@Crazy Doctor I would strongly suggest adding what's going on with their powers in their backstories. Styvan is 25, so he would have had his powers for about 8 years now, but there's no mention of it? Also, could you edit Kayla's updated character sheet (assuming you made changes) in the post you first posted with her sheet? The one that's linked on the first post? I would rather everyone make edits to existing character sheets that way to avoid confusion.
I guess this is dead?
@lydyn Honestly, I think he just misinterpreted what you were saying. The first time I read you're first post I thought you were straight out saying you're already stretched thin and I had to reread it a few times to understand that wasn't the case.

Anywho--

IMPORTANT NOTICE

@Dynamo Frokane@Captain Jenno@Crimson Raven@Zombehs@McHaggis@Sodium@Jay Kalton@Undine@Scrapula@NightFlight@Rinoa Rose@Crazy Doctor@Tyrant from the West

Tomorrow is the final day to make any changes or submit any additional applications!

Once again, October 23rd at 3:00 pm MST is the deadline.

PLEASE have all changes and applications completed by that time. I would hate to have to disqualify anyone for making changes after the deadline.
@VKAllen But you said you aren't wanting a link to said roleplay?
@Dynamo Frokane I doubt it was indirected. The only person who can truly determine whether or not you're spread thin is you. I'm sure we don't all have the same amount of free time.

Just as a general heads up, I do expect everyone involved to check this roleplay and post accordingly every 2 days at minimum. If more time then that is needed, I'm fine with that as long as I'm notified. Just let me know you're working on it or if you have a rough estimate of when your post will be up and it's fine. I'm not big on posting orders. I expect everyone to know not to speed post and communicate if there's a particular post they would really like to reply first to. Inevitably there will be times when we're all hung up on one person, however-- so those times are when it's most important to let me know if extra time is needed.

I abhor puppeting other people's characters, but I will do so if necessary. If it ever does come to that, I can promise not to take my rage out on the character. I tend to puppet as minimally as I can.

"With all the commotion, Sir Flakes-a-lot realized his bladder was at maximum capacity and proceeded, without a word, towards the nearest house at an alarmingly fast pace."
@Captain Jenno Well, having one's hand in interest check cookie jars is quite different than actually being in a lot of roleplays at once. I myself don't consider expressing interest in interest checks or OOCs as any sort of commitment. I typically won't even get that mad if the person is accepted and then disappears without ever posting once (mad... but not THAT mad). I'd much rather have that than having someone flake out mid-game, especially without any notice.

But yeah-- this isn't a roleplay I would recommend for those who are spread thin and considering dropping a few roleplays from their list soon. (Personally I don't know of any GM that would want people like that in their RP, but... desperate times, I guess.)
