As I was refreshing myself I felt a hard blow to my side, immediately startled and being pushed I would fumble further into the water and roll on my back, seeing the strange fish-lady thing from before wielding a flute. In panic I would get out of the water, but I was too frightened to even stand up, instead I just crawled backwards as I kept my terrified eyes onto the stranger before I bumped my head into a large stone with rather hard force. Stopped in my tracks, after I recovered from the pain, I instinctively held my hands outwards to protect my face as I looked away. "Don't eat me I don't taste good!" I pleaded with a trembling and youthful voice.

As I sat there, lowering my guard for a moment I saw the rest of the band of, strange strangers behind her. A sinking feeling of dread slowly filled my gut as I waited with now fearful silence, I was too scared to even look away, as if I did I feared they would snag me then. I had the resolve to at least wait and watch, fight or flight ready at hand for the right moment to escape..but where would I go? what if there were more monsters in these impossibly expansive hallways? The more I dwelled on the thought the further I felt the bitter and depressing taste of hopeless defeat.

I was a bit excited to see the arm smash at my weapon's wake, however I was nearly impaled by the spikes that had rapidly replaced it. Stepping back a bit I watched as the storm faded. I looked back at Jason aw he gave me orders. Afterwards I looked to my target, the golem was still bigger then me, about twice my size. Still I grinned as I sprinted forward, instead of using my weapon first I would slam into the ice sculpture of a monster with my right shoulder first, and if I was successful with that then I would follow up with an uppercut swing of the axe.

Vegetables? was this captain toying with me? How could someone such a high rank be such an un-serious way. However I was suprised more at what had happened, the betrayal of our captain. This whole time he was a marine, and seeing how I don't see Melany anywhere, I could only assume he killed her. My head would hang low as I felt utterly empty, my entire fight had been for nothing, I couldn't save my crew, let alone Melany. At least Xerxes was still here, albeit rude as always. I imagined they would probably kill him quicker then I can talk to him once we get in prison. Bloody figures this would be the second time I would loose my family.

Hatred filled me, not to the marines, not to the woman who beat me, no, they were respectable, they had some sense of dignity and honor to them even if they didn't show or admit it. No, Marxo, however, if I could even still calm him that, he is utter scum. I can forgive Xerxes's mass destruction of the island, I can forgive the marines that killed my initial family, but I cannot, nor ever forgive Marxo for what he has done.

This hatred however, would be supressed by my depressing state. I was silent and complient with the marines walking me down the ship not bothering to struggle or scream out in rage. Even if they didn't execute me, my freedom was over. I will remain in prison for life.

I dreamt of a burning ship, screams of war between marines and pirates I knew as family. I was resting over wooden debris, covered in the leftover wreckage and my father's parting gifts, looking into a devil fruit left in the palm of my hands.

I awoke in a start, alarmed and in disarray, I could vaguely hear the muddled voices of Xerxes and marine grunts. "Whats going on? did we make it? is everyone-" I stopped as I realized I was in chains, and in fact I felt completely powerless. Not so much exhausted, well i was exhausted beyond belief but there was something else too, as if my devil fruit powers were completely null. I reckognized Xerxes, seeing him captured too. "You too?" I sighed before looking to the face that beat me. I hesitated as I was being walked off by marines before speaking to her. "Who are you and how were you able to cut me?" I was bitter but I was still curious.
