I backed away more before victor called out my rudeness. perhaps I was being a bit too paranoid, maybe this was rarely an innocent old lady as she appeared to me. Still the thought of danger fed on the back of my head, but I progressed as to not be the odd one out of this group that I had just become apart of. I kept my hood over most of my pale and nervous face, dark arcanic symbols reeking of both dark magic and some other strange et equally malevolent magic. A striking contrast to my shy and innocent behavior. I entered the home of the old woman with feet draped under these brooding robes. I didnt notice anything odd about them, in fact I was rather comfortable wearing them. As if I had some attachment to them that I couldn't remember. Yet at the same time, something else was bogging at my sub conscience, was it the thought of death or memories trying to flood back into my mind, I couldn't tell. But I remained like this without any mental progress.

I stopped, a bit suprised some fool had decided to pick a fight with me as I fault a hard impact on my back, but I barely flinched. I looked back to see a girl franticly apologizing from what I thought was an attack, now realizing she was merely clumsy. I gave a light-hearted yet cocky chuckle to the girl before shaking my head. "Better watch where youre going, not everyone is as merciful as me lass." I gave her my staple shit-eating grin before continuing. "Jackal Sigurd, that's the name of the boy you almost offended today." I gave another set of laughter.
@olcharlieboi I think the same club idea works best.

"Right away sir." I ended my grin and gave the driver a nod before walking off the bus, before doing so I would give a cheeky, almost mocking wave to the kid with the knife, and another quick grin at the rest of the group. "See ya around." I called before walking down to the school. The building was impressively big and stylized. Human styled architecture were always a treat to see. It was only appropriate that this school resembled much of a human high school. As I passed by the fox girl, I finally replied. "Nice to meet you too."
I raised an eyebrow at what was transpiring. Two new guys, one who seemed a tad bit annoying, and the other well, far to confident for my liking, had approached and spoken to us. I didn't speak, and I resisted the urge to chuckle at how puny they were, but I knew better. I came to this school to rid myself of these sins, I have to not sport my prideful instincts so much. Despite the annoyance, i smiled, though that faded when one of them started acting very strangely. He reminded me of a cornered prey that was desperate for any option of survival, which was strange to witness on an outsider's perspective. The man of some sort of, unknown smell to me, had seemed to trigger this response. And this time I couldn't help but mock the scene with laughter. "whats the matter chicken-boy, being scared on the first day?" I said in between laughter. I eventually controlled my humor and continued. "Lad you're gonna scare the poor girl on her first day to. C'mon guys were all just students here there isn't anything to be afraid of."

I looked back to the girl who proclaimed herself to be Mira. "You guys can call me Jackal." I gave a cocky, shit eating grin to the group.

My eye twitched at the cheerful, loud tone following a good morning call. I was very much tempted to go berserk and incinerate the joyful idiot that dared to annoy me, but I kept my cool. This was a place where I was supposed to subdue my flaws, not encourage them. I decided to douse this rage by socializing with these lower creatures. My eye got the attention of a girl playing with a ball upon jewelry. I would change seats so that I was across from her now, and spoke her way. "Aye, some annoying kids here huh?" I said with a calm and pridefully confident tone to the girl, who I now realized had the scent of a fox.
I looked back and fourth between my fellow mercenaries and are employers. Watching them discuss strategy and our objective. Charging head on or weakening their forces from within, such talk wasn't on my mind, I had other things to ask. "Thats all well and good, but I think ill be the first to address the more important topic. Should we succeed exactly how much will each of us be paid?" I sat up from a relaxed position as I spoke, glancing at my soon-be comrades before continuing.

"forgive me if I'm being a bit blunt or greedy, but I made a promise to a good friend of mine. And I'm not about to risk my hide if the pay is cheap. I expect that we will be paid handsomely for such a dangerous task. Dont get me wrong I like the idea of sharing extra loot and being rewarded with what we kill, but if the loot there is rubbish and your bounties for each head is as cheap as dirt that isnt really exciting." I paused a bit to remove my helmet. "My name is Fafnir Sigurd, and I hope that it will be a pleasure serving with you lot."
