Bio

I am a Roleplayer with an interest in science fiction and fantasy, with a preference for Casual. I have been roleplaying for several years, and have even taken a stab at running a few RPs.

Outside the Guild, I am an Australian science student, gamer, musician and roleplayer (that's right, IRL too).

@Muttonhawk Good luck. I hope the interview goes well.

@JBRam2002 Yeah, that's what I meant. It would just be a better search system that wouldn't touch the existing forums.

The search system at the moment is super neutered and wonky.

While I haven't used the search function to search for threads, I do very much like the search function for posts within a particular thread. That function is super-useful, especially when a thread has millions of words in it.
@Obsidian, the elemental domains are rather lacking. (For the record, Teknall is currently our defacto Earth god, although if you want Earth go ahead.) However, don't feel like you have to take an elemental domain. There is a lot to choose from.

The best place to start, if you're struggling with Domain/Portfolio, is to consider a character concept. What do you want this character to do? How might they interact with the world? Good guy, villain, or somewhere in between? Have you got a personality or archetype you would like to play? Once you consider some of these questions, then you might find it easier to pick an appropriate domain/portfolio.

Of course, playing mortals is fine too, if you prefer, although you might feel a bit more invested if you had a demigod. And, of course, having a demigod doesn't stop you from exploring mortal characters simultaneously.
@LokiLeo789, the Gilt Savannah also has a fairly strong Chipper presence, because Stone Chipper and Gerrik spent a lot of time wandering around there. The population is mostly tribal at present, although a very small number of minor cities/towns could have emerged spontaneously (due to a combination of factors).

I love this new page-jumping function. It's been a long time coming.

Edit: the feeling of going to page 400 without having to click 'prev' 281 times. Bliss
@Kho you could simply edit the URL before.

Like Capy, I just edited the URL. But I agree, the page-jumping function has been a long time coming.
@BBeast Yeah, I know. I did not get to develop the Treeminds in their natural habitat as I originally planned - but I think it's safe to assume that things mentioned in official character sheets, the Wiki, and the IC are all canon (with IC having the highest rank and things mentioned purely in the Wiki/Character Sheets being subject to change if the IC says something completely different).

And I don't blame anyone for not remembering these very minor things! If I came across as accusatory then that was definitely not the intention ^^' I mean for instance I don't remember Zotash'e - probably because I haven't read far enough into the IC to reach his post.

If I ever have anything happen up in the north pole, I'll try to remember some of those creatures for you.

Although, last I checked, you were the only one having any activity up there, so you might beat me to it.
@Double Capybara
That sounds pretty cool. You should do it. Among other things, we don't have enough illnesses on Galbar.

Actually, a shaman by the name of Zotash'e had managed to do something similar. It was of a very minor degree, though, nowhere near the magnitude you are suggesting.

@Kho, I hardly blame @Double Capybara for missing it (I hadn't known/remembered until now either), since these Snow Wolves have, to my knowledge, never been mentioned IC.
@Kho

Consequences such as what?

Aihtiraq does genuinely want the wishes to turn out well (unlike the wish-granting genies of Earth mythology), although if the wisher insists then Aihtiraq will grant their wish even if he knows it will lead to tragedy.
@Antarctic Termite, for Teknall the answer is simple. He'd go back to being Stone Chipper.

Given that a lot of Teknall's power comes from technology in its various forms, not having access to divine power merely slows him down rather than completely negating his abilities. He'd probably prioritise finding some method of indefinitely extending his lifespan, if that isn't a given. And regaining access to his Workshop. If he can access his Workshop then things become much easier for him.

You know what, this actually gives me a good way to start a post. What do these birds look like?

EDIT: Damn, thought I cancelled this post. Oh well.

It's here, under Droningbird.
100 Might sounds like enough for Teknall to get the entirety of Galbarian Civilisation to interstellar space, and then seed a few more space-faring civilisations around the place for them to meet.

P.S. Anyway, I've been super busy with uni stuff, so I have made very little progress on any IC posts. I'll be busy until about the end of May.
