Current Euh. It's been a hot minute. Things are rather different for me now, and I don't know how that translates to my presence here.

I don't *think* I'm a bad person. I might be wrong there. I try not to be, even when I screw it up for want of social awareness.

Bio

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A link to some of my past characters, which I need because static tabs do not take up internet.

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

Ayy. Let's repost Deprave's sheet in OOC, just to confirm it's still good. And, uh, newcomers, try not to take him as an example of how everybody in Hell acts, because unlike most people, he totally deserves to be down there.

@Keksalot As Jace says, faeries love twisty wordplay. To quote the wiki, "The Fair Folk are also unable to lie. They might, however, tell what they believe is true, even if it is not. They may also expertly weave lies into sentences by using methods such as not telling the whole truth, letting others assume things, or not correcting the people with whom they're speaking; this does not, however, apply to half-fey, who can lie as easily as any other being." Thus, what Jace has stated is generally accurate, though I might propose that implying to an assassin that you want somebody dead without directly telling them to kill the target can later let you claim innocence on the matter of ordering their deaths with relatively little wordplay, depending on how you word both statements.
@Jbcool, please update this RP.
@Rockette@FantasyChic Glad to have you both on-board. Any ideas on characters? As a reminder, we will need at least some Shadowhunter PCs, since they are arguably the most important faction in the setting, being that it's named after them and all.
Sett appreciated the thanks given him by Jezebeth, and her unique plight was certainly intriguing even given his usually-blasé approach to godly matters (or was that her appearance associating itself with the matter?), though for the time being he'd probably think back to it as and when the opportunity came by again. For now, An-Hasst's question about who wanted to fight the dragon was foremost in his mind, and he had more to add to what he'd already said. Not that the old hermit and younger mage didn't make convincing arguments themselves, but as had already been stated, a dragon's wrath was not a particular time limit compared to that of whatever would happen if the Dark Elves succeeded.

'I reiterate that we can probably handle the Dragon after we've dealt with the Dark Elves,' he mentioned lightly to the group, still in the guise of "helpful priest", 'and that if the two choices are connected as Mr. Ursaren suggests, it may be that handling the Dark Elves' plots would calm the more threatening option beyond the need to deal with a Dragon directly.' Assuming, of course, that they were connected, but again, the hedge mage's own words could work against him if that was brought up: "an assumption is an assumption unless investigated", as he claimed, so why not investigate the less dangerous assumption first? Then they'd live longer.

Not that it mattered either way, because now the Wood Elves were bringing out horses. And what fine beasts they were, stronger yet more lithe than any horse he'd seen in Vrettonia to date. Not that he'd seen many horses in his location... nonetheless, the party was seemingly intended to ride upon them, and that provided Sett with a bit of a problem. 'I admit, I have not been trained to ride a horse,' he admitted, feigning mild embarrassment with lowered eyes and fidgeting hands, 'never mind any horse without saddle or bridle. And, well, I worry that I'd hold the rest of our party back if I were to take my own...' The intimation that he'd need to share with somebody else was, he hoped, self-evident. If he was lucky, maybe his assistance with Lady Jezebeth's armour would even have gotten him in on riding with her, and oh, what a treat that'd be.

Well, I'm certainly going to be continuing on with Deprave. So enjoy more of him, folks.
Any further interest, folks? Keks has stated his own opinions and desires, of course, but one player does not an RP make.
Artoxon Shroud, the Black Emperor

Master of Shadows, Bringer of Woe, Knight of Death. These are all names Artoxon Shroud is referred to as by the layfolk of his empire and his more educated foes alike, whom he feels do not understand his destiny enough to contribute to it. Certainly not in their present forms, anyway. To that end, he has worked his way upward in the world, though not from humble origins, but instead from the starting position of an elven nobleman's son, albeit a human halfbreed. For most, this is where his story ends until it truly begins, with his destruction and resurrection of the Royal Court of Alvaste, and from there spreading his influence until it covered nearly half of the known world in darkness, a twisted Feudal landscape with vampires, liches and wights for lords; zombies, ghouls and ghosts for peasants; and the remaining living of his lands as slaves and cattle alike, getting by on enough to barely perpetuate their own existence until the next generation whilst feeding an ever-growing horde of the undead, their own bodies contributing to little more than the next soldier in the army.

Worse still, Artoxon appears to be all but invincible: though he has reigned for a century and a half, he remains perpetually nubile and strong through means seemingly above and beyond what a mere undead is capable of, means that even his closest advisors are not privy to, and in this same fashion any hero sent to slay him has themselves been slain, if they were not already destroyed by the hordes they had to fight through first. Constantly, those under his heel pray for release from their damnable fates, and those who oppose him pray in turn that somebody, somewhere, be they the lowest mortal or the gods themselves, might have the power and will to finally end his reign of terror.

Powers

Malefic Attacks - The nature of the Black Emperor's power is largely offensive in nature. Though he certainly bears enough utility to generate minions of undeath, many of those in his thrall are in fact minions of minions of minions, down who knows how many levels: it is when slaying his foes with his own strength that he truly shines in his role, for his weakest attacks can vaporise flesh and bone, and annihilate a normal man's soul into yet more dark power to resurrect whatever remnants of their corpse remain, never mind tearing it from their bodies wholesale. Beyond this, his manipulation of his power is manifold: to name but a few uses, he can launch spheres, pillars and beams of this dark power alike, mould the energy into a variety of dark energy constructs, imbue his power into his equipment and pre-built objects, consequently emit that energy in a cutting wave from his sword, exude his power from his mouth as a breath weapon or creates waves of energy to strike many targets at once (even all around himself), and even encase himself in it to amplify his physical power many times over, albeit only temporarily. Despite this strength, Shroud fully realises that he is not yet divine in nature, and seeks to rectify that as soon as possible...

Resurrection Roulette - The Black Emperor's hidden trump card, unknown by all and sundry despite his notoriety: through a complex series of necromantic rituals performed upon himself, Artoxon has essentially ensured that not only is his death nigh-impossible, as he will resurrect whenever "killed", but the process of said resurrection will in turn trigger his powers to evolve, imbuing him with new abilities on top of those he already possesses. Such is the theory, at least; to date, however, his power has not yet been overwhelmed to the point that the ability has needed testing, and whilst the plan is that whatever power he develops will precisely counter what last killed him (in theory, dying at a god's hand would in a stroke of irony trigger the divine spark in his own persona), he cannot confirm that this will be the case without, well, dying. Not that that will be a problem for much longer, or so he hopes...
In which the adventures are chronicled of a Draconic Deity of Life, and a Necromantic Dark Lord himself aspiring toward Apotheosis. This is going to start with a fight between the two, and may or may not move onward to other situations from there. Note that their starting powers have been randomly generated, and are suitably scaled for this RP's general tone and setting.
