Current Euh. It's been a hot minute. Things are rather different for me now, and I don't know how that translates to my presence here.

I don't *think* I'm a bad person. I might be wrong there. I try not to be, even when I screw it up for want of social awareness.

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A link to some of my past characters, which I need because static tabs do not take up internet.

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

@jbeil You know what, your post has something that mine definitively lacks: combat psalms. Then again, since Alexa's typically quiet when she doesn't need to talk... either way, I appreciate that detail as something I forgot was important to the SoB.
@Kafka Komedy Great. I saw this, and knew exactly what I wanted to do almost immediately. So should I put them in the Characters tab now, or should I wait a little while?
@The 42nd Gecko So, uh, would you say Kiyoshi's all good now?

'No, Bart. In fact, you're just in time to hear me discuss something... important, shall we say, with the other members of the Guild,' Mark uttered. He hadn't thought he'd actually need to explain this, but since they were on the topic... well, again, it was a good chance for him to try and sway some of them to be purified by him. 'Just before that: Magnus, Freyr, I thank you for your assistance nonetheless. Ms. Siren-' For sure this time, she could clearly be nothing else. '-I appreciate that you're sensible enough to change your mind when given new information.

'Now, as for the would-be genocide aspects of the Order... well, this requires a bit of explaining,' he began, gesturing for anyone who hadn't yet taken a seat to do so. 'You see, as a general rule, the Order of the Chief God does not generally suggest that its adherents be cruel. Humans are largely encouraged to be friendly and supportive toward one another, and outliers such as Varjo apparently is aside, I believe the general consensus is that the same applies to most uncorrupted demihumans and angelic beings.

'Just... not to monsters, is all. It may help you to understand that, from the perspective of human beings, being raped is typically highly traumatising, and for most Order churches, the matter is worsened by the corrupting influence of demonic energy, which they perceive as turning the victims into sex-crazed lunatics much like their attackers. Not without due cause, mind. Hence, the Order in general tends to push for monster extermination. In my homeland, we've long made it a point to try and consider the viewpoint of mamono as well as humanity, but the Knights there have somewhat more pressing reasons to be concerned - monstergirls seem to breed only additional monstergirls, certain notable exceptions present; our best and brightest have come to the conclusion that, if left unchecked, this will result in a slow-burning, yet exponentially more urgent existential threat, to both humankind and monsterkind. With no other options, we too have therefore engaged in these acts of killing for our own protection, the logic being that, even if all mamono must die to achieve that goal, humans will at least live on.

'So, yes, I have killed monsters before,' Mark admitted solemnly, 'a great many of them. Some killings I have regretted, for their souls were vibrant despite what Varjo would call impenetrable darkness clouding them; others I have relished, for the monsters in question were vile even beyond what most would think when they heard the term. All were considered necessary at the time.' Now came the hard part: the convincing of these would-be allies that there was a better way after admitting to cold-blooded, self-serving murder.

'Recently, however, we have developed an alternate option,' he continued with only mild hesitation. 'A superior option, some might argue, and certainly better for the monster in question, considering the alternative in such a situation is death. Part of what makes monsters so dangerous to humans and demihumans alike is the capacity for demonic energy to feed on and corrupt spirit energy - human men become incubi as their spirit energy is fed off of and empowered in a vicious cycle of sorts, human women become monsters as their capacity to produce spirit energy at all is utterly annihilated, slower than that of men as it is in the first place.

'This new spell... well, the best way I can describe it is that it plays on the plus-minus relation between the two types of magic, and in doing so... reverses the usual dichotomy. Instead of demonic energy corrupting spirit energy, specifically-modified spirit energy infests a corrupted soul, rooting out demonic energy, reversing its polarity if you will, and converting it - from minus, to plus; corruption, to purity; monster... to human. At least on the level of the soul.'

Mark paused for a moment, letting his words sink in before he continued. 'So does the soul of a monster or other corrupt entity become pure. And in theory, safe for humans to interact with. The obvious benefits lie in the inability for corruption to spread further from the purified being, so long as they don't get corrupted all over again, though in that case, their souls are at least partially inoculated, limiting them to the state of incubus at worst. Especially useful for human women. Our theory runs that it would also proof the children of such beings from monsterisation - if demonic energy is what leads to the birth of more monsters, a pure soul would thus result in human children, or at least human boys if the girls are still born monstrous. So far, none of the evidence gathered suggests a failure of this theory.

'Syzsi, incidentally, is a good example of a purified monstergirl - she is less driven by lust than before, but her mind is otherwise intact and unaltered, at least to my knowledge. It's perfectly safe, and it doesn't change your way of thinking, it just... removes the thing making you consider sex so frequently. Admittedly, I don't know how frequently anybody here thinks about sex, but it is a factor, nonetheless. So...' He clapped his hands together once, punctuating his sentence as he considered what to say next.

'My offer to you guys is as follows: let me work the spell on you, remove the demonic energy from your souls, and make the world a slightly safer place for... well, everybody, honestly. If you'd rather I didn't, I understand. If you're horrified by the concept at its core, I understand. But just be aware... I will insist upon performing it sooner or later. Forcibly, if I have to, and know that I would really rather not resort to that. I don't think fracturing any relations by performing a metaphysical procedure without somebody's consent is what any of us here want.'

And that was that. How they reacted now, whether they complied or didn't, would be down to whether he'd sold the concept sufficiently. He supposed Bart wouldn't be so shocked, given that he knew of the spell already, the reason he'd visited Andrale to begin with; nevertheless, with a Minotaur, a Siren, and a Viera all potential sour points in his pitch, Mark would be prepared to defend himself if somebody decided to do something... stupid.
I can't promise I'll join this, on account of already being in a fair number of other games, but I am interested nonetheless.
Admittedly, the mage's eyes changing colour to monochromatic orbs were not exactly a comforting sight. Still, he trusted that Alice knew what she was doing, and likewise that the Dwarf Geradin would be able to find an escape route before whatever taint in the stone roused itself to strike their party dead.

Speaking of extranatural presences, what in the world was that feeling? It certainly wasn't something he'd have expected to sense in a place like this, but from how it felt, and the sensation of his amulet pulsating against his chest... and he knew Alice could feel it too from her body language, though it seemed what she was sensing was... less intriguing, and more concerning. So, either her magic was muddling the sensation she was receiving... or he was being duped. Or maybe it was a test? Damn, there were always so many variables to consider with a deity such as Fineki, gracious and callous as he could be at any given moment.

...still, it wouldn't be particularly wise of him to ignore the tunnel's call. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, after all. Everyone else seemed distracted by either trying to dig a new way out, or by the lava for some reason, meaning the priest would be free to act so long as he didn't draw too much attention.

'We are, of course, going to have to investigate whatever's in that tunnel, my lady,' Sett whispered in Alice's ear solemnly. 'It is only right that we take on this burden for the good of the team, after all.' A sideways grin inadvertently plastered itself on his face for a moment; he promptly began to stroll toward the side tunnel in question, partially to hide his glee at the potential the near future held. He ought to be a bit more cautious about this, shouldn't he? Wasn't he nearing panic a few moments ago? And yet now, all he wanted was to see what the god of chance had in mind for him, with no thought to possible consequences beyond gripping the handle of his sword, just in case it needed drawing... though for some reason, he doubted he'd need it.

Alessa Heather: PRT Headquarters

Nifty... pressing each of the buttons in order, she was treated to various three-dimensional images of herself, in costume and with her face obscured by glaring light - first the basic pose as described by Decoy, then pointing a finger out in one direction as she seemed to steady herself (though closer inspection suggested it was actually a walk forward she'd been engaging in), and finally with her hands splayed, fingers seeming ready to send out beams of light on a dime. Like a badass, if she had to describe it.

But that wasn't the point. It was meant to distract a foe so that you could make an escape, or sneak up on them. Speaking of which, Lillian - and her dinosaur hologram, no less, good Lord that was scary to see even knowing it was a hologram, something Evelyn clearly agreed upon judging by her suddenly manifesting her projection as a sort of spidery wall for a moment - had just made a number of suggestions on how she could contribute, including the option for her to sneak into the building... yes, maybe... but was she the best option? She wasn't sure. She'd need to consider her teammate's powers a bit... have a plan, consider what she was going to say next at the same time…

As she thought about it, the conversation continued without her. Ira suggested that she could help Lillian scout with her goggles, and furthermore that she’d come up with a way of improving Evelyn’s power, letting her transport to Ira’s location immediately, and perhaps improving the range the projection could stretch over to boot. That was right, it could detect people, couldn’t it? Yes, that might be useful… Lyn certainly seemed happy with the device, suggesting that she too could act as a scout in her own right. Alright, yeah, that would definitely be handy.

'Those are all great suggestions, guys,' Alessa agreed with a smile. 'Especially you, Ira; good job on the new tech. Maybe it’d give Lyn a good escape option if she gets caught out, too. As far as scouting the place out before heading inside goes- and I can't imagine why we wouldn't want that- all of those options could be useful. Full coverage, or something along those lines? Maybe if it's locked from the inside, you could sneak in and unlock it from the inside for us, Lily?’ She glanced over to the dinosaur-esque shapeshifter with a grin, and then put a bit of humour in her tone: ‘I wouldn’t necessarily suggest transforming unless you’re seen, but if you have to, right?

‘That said,' she continued, stroking her chin in thought and glancing to the most elaborate member of the group, 'if it's an external lock, Elliot could also transform it into a toy and remove it, or indeed just transform any doors themselves if that’s an option. Not to mention... well, I assume we'll want to remove the contraband eventually, and I can't help but think turning as much of it as possible into toys would be superbly useful in that regard, in addition to anything else that might be important.

'Now, as far as scouting for Capes specifically goes, I believe Evelyn would have a handle on that. Lyn,' she asked, turning to Tulpa, 'do you think you’d be able to stretch the projection across an entire warehouse for a good period of time with Ira’s new upgrade?' If she could pull that off, it'd be incredible for figuring out enemy movements on a dime, never mind the power itself drawing from any other Parahumans in the area once it manifested physically.

And as for Ira… scouting was useful, but by no means the most deliberate use of her abilities. 'Ira, do you think you'd be able to hit the warehouse with a power-nulling field?' she proposed after a bit more pondering. 'Not immediately, of course, but if we happen to meet any villainous parahumans in there, it might be beneficial to put us all on more even footing, at least until we can hit them with personal-scale nullifiers.'

Yes, it was all coming together nicely. If everything went as planned, the raid ought to go down like clockwork, with or without other Capes there.
Raymond Haywood: Icehouse Hideout --> Trainyard

Well, the Broker wasn't wrong. Defenses seemed sparse at best, and just two guards were out front. He couldn't imagine many more would remain inside... now, that said, he did prefer having quiet when he was thinking, so being asked three stupid questions in a row was very distracting indeed.

'Sofia, Thunderbolt, be patient,' he whispered. 'Heartless, I do not carry tranquiliser darts, because those are not as convenient as fiction depicts them without the Tinker tech to back them up. I could just shoot him in the head to knock him out, but that wouldn't be fantastically quiet, even with a suppressor... then again, neither is tasing a person to the ground, and unless somebody happens to have a tranquiliser dart designed by a Tinker and a blowgun to fire it out of, the headshot is probably the best option.' That said, he drew his weapon and transformed the gun to its FN P90 form, complete with suppressor - he wasn't so foolish as to disclude something like that, though alas, Matrix hadn't been able to fit them onto the larger weapons too. Maybe if he had the Tinker create some drones...

'Heartless, take out the man on the right. I'll deal with the one on the left. Tie them both up quickly once that's done.' Without another word, Raymond scoped in.

Left soldier, head. Unconsciousness via concussion, no permanent damage. Minimise chance for bullet to enter the building. If he zoomed out enough, he could still keep the other soldier in sight, and could therefore fire as Heartless tased the man. Simple enough... and if that worked out, then the rest of the raid ought to go down like clockwork, in-and-out in very short order.
