Current It adds a welcoming touch to the bedroom (for you and your roommate) whenever you enter or leave from/to the common area.

What I like to do is start off w/ flattening one of the brown paper bags & make a doormat for the psyche ward bedroom. I color & tape it to the ground by the room exit/entrance.

I might be interested; and if I am, my vote is going to be placed on the Masquerade option.
@Delta44, we are ever so glad to have you; in fact, you have been 'officially' added to the list of players who shall be tagged when the IC Thread is locked and loaded.
@DeltaV, welcome aboard. @SilentWriter83 will be your pilot, and I will be your co-pilot. As of today, we have two sections of the ride available: Greaser and Survivor. The IC Thread will likely be put together and available for advertisement and Character Sheet approval no later than Sunday, December 18th, EST. Keeping hands and limbs inside the vehicle at all times is not part of the rules as violence is part of the game, but we will remind you that you can play up to three characters at a time! Feel free to ask questions; feel free to make suggestions; and remember, we're not just here for our own entertainment; we're here for your entertainment, as well.
@Huckleberry1911, oye! Unfortunately, we have a lot of players who want to play Loners, which has caused us to put a cap on the option unless more players enter the game as Greasers or Survivors. As the game does have a plot, too many Loners will cause the game to turn into a wide-range sandbox and overly forced coincidences in order to make it succeed.

Survivors can leave the compound, but it is not advised--if you are worried about having a character stuck in a Safety Shelter. Another option is going ahead and pegging another player who is interested in being a Greaser and brainstorming relations. Both GMs and a couple other players have Greaser concepts in the works.

Oh, and multiple characters (up to three) are allowed.
@Spud, your idea is fine.

With that said to all, there will be a cap on Govvies unless more Greasers and Survivors are put into the game.

@NuttsnBolts, the game will probably not have Screechers but will definitely have Fatties. In order to kill a Lurker, the destruction of the brain will be in order. Even decapitating a Lurker's head will not result in its death--much like that of a snake, a Lurker can still bite. The 'infection' highly exacerbates the hypothalamus' control of the host and causes it to solely want to devour any living thing, preferably human as the 'infection' is a creature that survives mostly on humans (animals are a lesser option on the dominance hierarchy) while also seeing humans as its biggest threat. The thalamus will also be damaged in regards to the Lurkers' abilities to feel pain. As to not turn this into a Master Thesis, I'll sum up the 'infection's' impact on the cerebrum as the Lurkers are either on a stand still or in a hyperarousal fighting stage, which coincidentally causes them to be sensitive to smell and light and more prone to roam post sunset. However, there are stages of the 'infection,' which shall be made clearer in the IC Thread (unless otherwise requested by any players prior to the making of the IC Thread); Lurkers were more prone to attack during daylight when the outbreak first occurred. However, as this may seem more convenient later down the road in regards to hunting during the day time, the Lurkers can and will still attack when light is out. As well, the more the 'infection' takes over a host, the harder and more dangerous it is to kill a Lurker.

The intelligence of Lurkers will not be extreme. Lurkers will probably not be able to use basic tools. Short term memory will be minimum and mostly used to fulfill the desires of the hypothalamus. Long term memory is attainable in regards to staying in one roaming area. Emotions and coherent speech will be close to nihil (which leaves little room for creativity). As a host is infected, the intelligence begins dropping, but while the motor skills will be skewed, they will be stronger and faster due to the ability to move through pain.

The 'infection' spread globally (although, the rumor is that the 'infection' started in America), and many nations have isolated themselves. Since many countries relied on each other for certain imports, the outlook on the global economy is not doing so well. Some European countries may still be trading, but as far as America is concerned, the nation has isolated itself entirely, and communication is unreliable and minimum, especially on an international level.

The terrain in Zone B is going to be better than most of the other factions; however, Zone B is still in pretty poor shape. Each state in Zone B has several Safety Shelters set-up, which are communities or compounds for the few people who made it past the clearances 'in-time'. Each Safety Shelter has a large concrete wall around it in order to protect what remains of the American society from Lurkers (and Greasers). The resources inside and outside of the Safety Shelters are pretty minimal due to the military having bombed many inhabited places as a last resort to destroy the Lurkers. It is possible to live off of the land, but it is hard. Many Greaser groups have taken to using abandoned military bunkers, but not all have. There are Greaser groups who are allies, and there are Greaser groups who are enemies. It is not uncommon for Greasers to pillage the Safety Shelter transportation vehicles that are trading imports and exports from other Safety Shelters and factions. With that last bit said, the government is beginning to take heavier action against the Greasers as resources are running drier.

Last call for alcohol.
@catchamber, I think that type of character would fit very nicely into the game play.

On a side note to all, there will be more information in regards to infrastructure, terrain, governing, and life of 'Zone B' in the IC thread. Questions are welcome and encouraged!

It was freezing in Briza's room, and as much as she would have loved to wear mittens or gloves, the conducive wear of such fabric upon her skin of her hands would only be a hindrance towards her pathetic and petty social life solely garnered around the cornered and hole-in-the-wall outskirts of the internet. Nonetheless, bundled in a mountain of blankets and a plethora of outer garments, she sat in front of her computer screen tapping away on her keyboard, trying to maintain a basic paragraph of information for some plausibly interesting IC hangout thread. It had occurred to her that she was not actually cold, and it was merely a greater creature or thing controlling her computer simulated existence and commanding or rather demanding she exhibit symptoms of near hypothermia and an insistent need to hyperbolize every ailment that would befall her. However, her mind was not so much interested with investing much thought into the faux-situation she had been made, but rather, she was more concerned with engaging in the use of elaborate escapism to numb her exaggerated pain not from her chilled bones but from her cliche case of ennui due to existential dread. Hopefully, using my RPG handle won't warrant any unnecessary investigation towards my shitty character building skills, she thought to herself before hovering the cursor over the blue 'Post Reply' button and left clicking her computer mouse. She still needed to find her glasses because really, if she was to be honest, her eyes were strained and hot from not properly fashioning them this morning. At least, she thought to herself, there is a part of me not succumbing to the torturous conditions of this wet and dreary winter.
