I think to sell someone on an interest check, it's really important to seem enthusiastic about your own idea. That means writing more than a single sentence to attract potential players.

Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.

Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss

Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)

Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.

Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.

RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...

Last RP I finished was Symphony of Espers which turned out pretty good.

RP's in progress:
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.

As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.

RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.

And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

Other interests:
Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.

Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.

Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...

Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.

Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.

People to Insult:
Dalton is a Dingus.

I've been reading constantly the past few days, I do draw but not right now mate lel, no, I am in the shower for at least and hour a day, and no.

Those were just suggestions. I mean sure, sometimes you burn out and just don't feel like doing anything, but finding a new hobbies is a good thing.

A year or so ago I started building custom arcade sticks. Yup, just decided I wanted to learn more about electricity and how to make snazzy controllers. Here's A sans/undertale one I made for my brother.

That doesn't sound very productive, @NekoMizu. Get off ya butt and do something!

I mean, if you're tired that's one thing.

But if you're just procrastinating, that's no good at your age! Read a book! Draw some pictures! get into singing! Take a shower! Clean your room! The outcome is irrelevant, because as long as you keep at it, it will always be better next time!

...Not always by a noticeable margin however.
@NekoMizuJuuust checking messages before I hurry off to work. I really should get out of the habit of morning internet browsing ._.

How are things on your end?
Well "I'm" Online, but you don't appear to be.

@NarcissisticPotato

Oh okay, good to know!

But isn't anything made by farmers and "amateur brewers" usually that way? I mean I've never had poltin obviously, but we do have moonshine.

We can order in spinning barstools friend, I will see about uploading some floor plans at some stage, and we can even vote a jukebox song list (or would you rather a seisún band for a real authentic feel?) If we're REEEEALLY good, we might be able to get Kristian Nairn to DJ for us sometime! Are there any other requests?

Also, its Paddy's day hun ;) but we'll give you a pass on that one since you're new to the bar.

I don't believe you need to "sensationalize" your fine establishment. Disneyland is a fine place to visit, but you wouldn't want to live there. But if you did want to go that route, that's the way to do it, yea!

As a foreigner I'd hope I get a pass. Not only that, but I'm a hot blooded American! I just wouldn't have the same kind of charm if I actually tried to learn about places before traveling abroad!

You're very welcome here in our cheeky little pub, whatever th occasion, whatever the reason, whenever the time ;) As for Potato beer, we have that BECAUSE IRELAND!!! It is poitín, and its feckin schtrong schtuff so it tiz!

Vodka wasn't invented by Poland? The more you know...

I am the resident Irish beer maiden, unless you guys think I'm too manly, I for one think I look quite fetching in a short sparkly green dress, ever since I moved to the city I walk everywhere and have thighs that could deflect bullets!!! Ehhh, we can take on another beer maiden I guess, but first you have to learn the sacred oath that every single Irish person learns in school ... are you ready ... say it with me...

"An bhfuil cead agam dul go dtí an leithreas a mhuinteoir"
Here's a handy hint, "Aan vwill kad agum dull go dee aan leh-heh-rus a voon-tore", it'll get ya out of a pickle!!!

Well, i'd think anyone would have to be a little "manly" in order to pass as a beer maiden. You don't carry around kegs or drink from them without getting a little thick after all. *wink*

That tongue twister of a phrase looks dastardly. Truly only one with an Irish heart could say it. I'd rather get served here than serve others here anyway.

Ugh... "another" hang out thread? Did we really need this?
YES WE DO!

I'm a little disappointed in the lack of spinning bar stools, but meh, the atmosphere is so good I don't think i'll miss them. Seriously, it feels like St. patty's in here, and that's still five months away.

About me? Uh, I don't think there's a whole lot to say about me actually. I am an american, I guess that's worth mentioning. However, I'm here for pleasure, not to escape. I mean I can appreciate the romance people see in the idea, it's just not for me.

And since we have so many potatoes in here, why don't we ferment them and make some... Vodka? *wink*

Also, where are the Irish beer maidens? Are you hiring? what sort of credentials do you need?
Keefer and Lenna ate their lunch in relative silence. Because of Holla's unexpected visit, Keefer panicked and made some old fashioned peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Only both the peanut butter and jelly were made out of imitation products. Had he known Lenna was going to be late, he'd have gone with something more befitting of a family reunion. Still, betting on Lenna being late for anything wasn't a good idea.

“...So that's it?” Lenna made her inquiry without looking at Keefer. While her mood was already sour, telling her the events that transpired before her arrival hadn't made her pleased.

“Well, it did happen.”

“Oh, I know it happened.”

“Really?”

Lenna turned to face Keefer. “Yes.” Her glowing eyes made her look very intimidating. “This was originally going to be your father's apartment. Choosing to be between his daughter and some bimbo is exactly the kind of thing I'd expect him to do.” Lenna dropped her sandwich onto a plate. “ The kissing, the flirting, I don't question any of it. Maybe the seriousness of her intent, but not the actions themselves.” The overseer folded her hands together and leaned on her elbows. “I just thought you knew me better than this. Such tales do not make up for this miserable excuse of a sandwich.”

Keefer was the type of person who believed in wearing a smile at all times. But he had difficulty holding the corners of his lips up to his sister. It had been a long time since they had seen each other, even if you didn't count the five years they spent in the hibernation pods. Keefer was suppose to be the overseer of his father's mining operation, but didn't like dark or small spaces. Because of this, he chose to work with his mother on the farm. His sister however adapted to her father's work better than anyone could have imagined. Because of the miner's lifestyle, Keefer's father and sister were seldom home. They were drilling all over Germany with monthly visits to the farm. Once Keefer got his carpenter career launched, he left home and hadn't seen her since.

“I get the impression you're annoyed with more than just the sandwich.”

Lenna sighed and let her arms collapse on the table. Keefer could tell that she was looking at the apartment. He had already grown accustom to such luxory, but the truth was that only the most wealthy got to enjoy apartments like this. The kitchen was filled with appliances, and the dining room could easily seat ten people. There was a bath that featured a jacuzzi, a hobby room with a state of the art home theater system, and of course a bed room. Keefer still had a hard time believing that most people were living in single room apartments. Even his sister did, and she had worked hard her entire life. “Our father, he really was a piece of shit, wasn't he?”

Keefer was happy to entertain the change in topic. “I don't think I'd word it quite like that. I mean yea, I'm a little disappointed he didn't make arrangements for mom. I can kind of understand why he'd hate me honestly. He invested so much in me and I couldn't do the same work he could. But I was able to take his place when he conveniently passed away. So I can't really speak ill of him. At least he was thinking of you.”

“Yea.” Lenna snorted. “I'll leave my wife and son to die. Then I'll stick my apartment between a slut and a personal slave who bends to my every whim.”

Keefer groaned. “You shouldn't be so hard on Holla. You two actually have a few things in common.”

Lenna raised an eyebrow. “Like?”

“Well.” Keefer pointed at Lenna's face. “You both have your lunos on all the time.”

“That's not too uncommon.” The overseer looked away from Keefer. “I assure you our abilities are vastly different. My lunos improves my thought processing. Holla probably has something that makes her look cuter.”

Keefer grinned at Lenna's strange explanation. “All I'm saying is that it might be a little too soon to start bad mouthing her. You could have other similarities. If dad was as conniving as you made him out to be, he might have some leverage on her as well.”

The overseer conceded with a sigh. “Maybe you're right. Awilix seems to possess it's own mysteries, and nothing is what it seems.”

“Holla said something like that too.”

Lenna raised an eyebrow. “Really?”

“Yea, as an example of how unaware we can be sometimes, she told me the secret behind the credits of Sponge.”

Lenna raised her other eyebrow. “There's a secret?”

“Yea.” Keefer placed his hands on the table. “So you know how everyone thinks Holla played the roll of both characters? Well, you'll notice Master's name in the credits is spelled with an uppercase 'A' at the end. The reason for this is because Holla didn't play that character. It was actually her roommate, Hollie Anderson. So that's why... Why... Why are you smiling?”

“Did you try to confirm this story?”

“Well no. I mean, why would I? I had to prepare dinner and-”

Lenna stood up and walked into Keefer's bedroom. He'd have liked her to perhaps ask if she could use his computer, but he was also interested in what she was going to look for. The overseer took a seat in his computer chair and fired up the video of Sponge. She then skipped past the entire movie right to the credits.

Master............Holla

Keefer was shocked. “Why would she lie to me about something like that? It was so easy to check.”

“But you didn't check it.” Lenna was almost laughing. “You see Keefer, it's not good enough to just have an observation. Intelligence is meaningless if it isn't backed up by facts. You'll never solve the mystery if you just take everyone's word for it. You need to find proof to give such statements credibility.” Lenna got up to leave. “We should do this again, only without the garbage sandwiches.”

Keefer was still awe struck by the revelation he had witnessed. But he was at least happy that Lenna seemed to enjoy their time together, even if it ended with a laugh at his expense. But he couldn't stay here much longer. it was getting near time to go to work. He snatched up his tool bag and walked out the front door.
@Leoven You don't always have to be up in an other character's face to interact with them. You can also indirectly collaborate. Like how @Synthesis and @Americore used a text message to establish contact between their characters while still leaving themselves free. But it doesn't even have to be "that" direct. Giving a public speech, breaking a window, leaving a gift box, there are many things that can be done to snag another character's attention without directly collaborating with them.
TFW the mafia is after you.

Then you remember you live the double life.

...But that's why they're after you!

(Not a face claim FYI)

Finally posted. Ah, new job is gonna kill me.

I want to get the twins to interact with others, but huh. I'm not sure how to do just that.

PM via forum, discord (though I think it's called "direct discussion" in there) or skype are just a few great options. You could also just post and have people react to it, but that can get confusing.

Unless you mean like actually getting to that point. In which I suggest hitting someone up via pm and discussing ways you could take them out offer them protection!
