I think to sell someone on an interest check, it's really important to seem enthusiastic about your own idea. That means writing more than a single sentence to attract potential players.

Did you know that Dante's inferno is called a divine comedy because things work out for the protagonist? Back in the day, the only two genres were comedy and drama. The only difference was that in a comedy, the protagonist is better off at the end, and a drama is the opposite. So that's why a story about going through hell can still be considered a comedy, even if it's not funny.

Name:
Broken Promise, BP, Boss

Age:
Old enough to know better, too young to care. (that is to say 30's)

Preferred RPs:
I Prefer to make my own, but will occasionally join something if it looks interesting. I'll join just about anything so long as it isn’t overly edgy/sweet, though it's rare for me to do. I don't do 1x1s too often either.

Preferred Roles:
I tend to play adorable characters everyone wants to befriend or proper assholes everyone wants to stay away from. I try not to play moral paragons or prime evils.

RP Conquests:
I've completed quite a few RP's off site, but most of them are on private forums or have simply been lost to the ravages of server crashes. As for stuff here, I'm sure everyone who sees me post in the off topic sections has seen me find an excuse to talk about Danganronpa: Tower of Carnage. It's a project that took over 4 years to complete and I feel pride not only for myself but all the wonderful people who helped make it enjoyable during its run. Re: Zero: The High Council Is technically my first, but it was just something I kind of took over and ended up ending the story after just six months. It finished, but eh...

Last RP I finished was Symphony of Espers which turned out pretty good.

RP's in progress:
For some reason I can't seem to stay away from Ari's magical girl RP, even if I'm not sure why I'm still in it.

As for my own projects, I'm doing Symphony on High to continue the gigachad adventures of the espers in Pax Septimus.

RP Graveyard:
I've been pretty fortunate on this forum. I think I joined one when I first came on the site that didn't really do anything, and there are a few 1x1 things that didn't go anywhere. It's disappointing when an RP ends before it can be finished, but I've come to look at them as learning experiences.

And then there's that london magical girl RP, and that dark magical girl RP. I think I'm done joining magical girl RPs for a while.

Other interests:
Videos
I watch a lot of educational videos on youtube. Usually as research for something I’m writing or purely because a topic interests me. I like channels like Tier Zoo and Daryl Talks Games, and I’ll also watch things like Critical Drinker or Literature Devil to deepen my understanding of story telling. Though I also like memes and jokes, to which I’ll find myself watching stuff like Sseth, but usually find myself surfing through meme videos. I gotta work on that.

Games
I have a rather long history of playing virtually every platformer to come into existence during the indie boom, as well as quite a few other indie games. I’ve played Meatboy, Binding of Issac, Gunvolt, Cuphead, Princess Remedy in a World of Hurt, Classic Metroid, Warcraft 3, Final Fantasy 7,8, and 14, Left 4 Dead, Shantae, Celeste, Danganronpa, God Eater, the list goes on. What I’ve played is kind of all over the place. I don’t play many games these days, I tend to pick things that look interesting and go on a decent steam sale.

Painting Minis
I do this in moderation. Otherwise, it's a pretty expensive hobby to start...

Music
I listen to everything, save most country/rap songs. I have too many favorites to name.

Personality:
Not one to take life or the internet too seriously. Is only serious about writing well and having a good time.

People to Insult:
Dalton is a Dingus.

@Mole Thank you. They contacted me via PM to tell me.
Lonewolf said Norika was the horniest character in the RP.

And I took that personally.

EDIT: Also Walpurgis Night (a hurricane) is going to hit my area some time next week, so Suki and I may vanish for a bit.

"One yes after a thousand nos is still a yes!”

— Suki Oyama

Suki and Rei’s interaction was interrupted by the arrival of Willow. She somehow managed to jump and play on the narrow top of the lamp post. A striking display of dexterity, but even more so when you considered Rei was squatting on top of it. Though maybe it wasn’t all that strange. Willow’s magical girl name was based on a wandering light seen by travelers. She was also a cat girl, and they were allowed to break the rules.

What did surprise Suki was that Willow felt the need to answer for their supreme overlord. Surely the great Schrade didn’t need someone to speak on her behalf. This was someone who was so badass they chose to go out untransformed and squat on top of lamp posts.

"Uh…”

Suki had only brushed Rei’s legs for a moment. It would be dishonest to claim she didn’t get something out of caressing those supple torso holders of hers, but she hadn’t done anything that explicit yet. People made out in public spaces all the time, and Suki knew she wasn’t going to convince Rei to take that jacket off. Suki wasn’t always stupid.

"Um…”

And then Willow just laughed, declared she was kidding, maybe, before cuddling up to Rei. Suki was not oblivious to Willow’s duplicitous nature, but it was difficult to gauge what the girl really wanted. If you never told the truth, no one can know what you want. But Suki was both sane and an astute observer of people. They spoke with their words, but also their bodies and actions. Just because Willow spoke with deceptive words didn’t mean she was fluent in lying in her other two languages. It was as clear as day that Willow was intimidated by Suki’s strong mojo. Willow just wanted to put the moves on a cutie, and she viewed Suki as a threat to her plans.

Easy enough to fix.

While Willow snuggled up to her teammate, Suki’s torso moved just a bit more over to the right. Now she was hovering in front of Willow. Meanwhile, one of her tendrils had released the lamp post and reached around Willow’s back.

"You can’t call me a tart until you’ve tasted me first!”

And then the tendril gave her a firm shove. The girl would never see it coming. And even if she did, Suki’s body lunged forward to catch her. There was no hope for escape. Right?

It was one thing to just get touched by Suki, but to be held in her embrace was nearly euphoric. Suki had a hand on Willow’s lower back and shoulder blades, and both arms were holding her tight. Their silhouettes became one, their curves pressed flat like pancakes.

The breach between their lips closed.

After sampling Willow, Suki pulled back her head with a gasp. "Oh man!” Her entire body trembled. "You’re the cat’s meow! A symphony to the senses! Bastet given flesh!” Willow probably didn’t feel all that drained by a single kiss. Suki had to get pretty trigger happy for her lips to become a deadly weapon. Though it likely accelerated the curse that was coursing through Willow’s body. "What kind of tart am I? Sour apples? Raspberries?”

Suki noticed a shape in the sky and looked up. It was one of Kiyo’s eye monsters hovering overhead. Then her gaze dropped back down to Rei, who of course had seen the whole thing unfold. But the fact that Suki had an audience didn’t bother her. She gave her boss the friendliest smile she could manage.
I really wanted to join this one, but the short deadline just didn’t line up with my schedule. Better luck next time as they say!

I’m no poet, and it looks like all of these are poems. So I can’t offer a lot of constructive criticism. It’s going to be a lot of “I liked this because it made my brain feel good” without much constructive advice.

@TheWendil Are you going to post? Otherwise, mind if I post again?
@LuckyBlackCat@KoL If neither of you have a name idea, I may have one.

"Royal Navy," Given that you've got a chess/water gimmick going.

”Where’s that bottle of Jack Daniels when I need it!?”

—Amber Bianchi

Amber sat in her own corner of the lounge. Before her was an open laptop, her phone, and a tablet. Looking at this many screens would make a man’s head spin, and even most women. But girls were born to multitask. Even after forty years, that was something Amber never lost.

Her phone displayed a series of text messages between herself and her two sons. She had just finished paying off her child support a few years ago, but the boys weren’t ready for the real world. They grew up without their mother. Weekly visitation wasn’t something that happened often in Japan. When the child support money stopped coming in, their father lost interest in them. Now they were living with her. But they were practically strangers. Just two young adults that weren’t ready for an adult life. They needed support and would need to go to college too. Unlike American colleges, Japanese colleges taught generalized skills that would make finding work anywhere easier. Just like American colleges, Japanese colleges were very expensive, and Amber was already trying to support three adults on a teacher’s salary in a one person apartment. Despite the difficulties, her Italian blood compelled her give something back to her children.

The tablet was her lesson planner and schedule. Monday had been finalized, but Amber liked to plan out the entire week. She liked to see when she could sneak in her lunch breaks or take on extra work. It might be worthwhile to take a shift as the Janitor, but that might cut into her soup kitchen duty in town.

The computer screen displayed all of Amber’s finance information. Now that the boys were living under her roof, it was less expensive to support them. But she really shouldn’t have had to support them at this point. But their father was useless, and they had been without their mother for almost twenty years. If she knew what she knew now, she would have never followed him back to Japan.

If only a dry set of clothes could have solved Amber’s problems.

The commotion spreading through the room didn’t get to Amber. Her eyes flicked up to look over the rims of her glasses before returning to her work. It was easy to get derailed by distractions. Shifting your attention threw your mind off balance, and it could take as much as fifteen minutes to get back on track. This was even more difficult when you were multitasking.

Amber wished she could have a vacation from this. Maybe go on an adventure. Just grab the boys and go to Akihabara. She had no strong love for otaku culture, but her boys did. Moreover, it had to be more exciting than showing students how to cook stew or sew their clothes. But it was too expensive. Maybe once she got enough to send them to college, they could have that adventure. Just once.
I'm glad that worked out for everyone. After sleeping on it, I was going to take Mercurial just to get things going. But I concur with Kriegspiel seeing Mercurial as someone to be befriended, and I'm not going to say no to a chance to write with my waifu Crow ZA WULDO!

@The World How's "Eternal Ecstasy" For a team name? :3

Oh, forgot to mention with Evil Eye/Oros they could compete for waifus, both being the seducer type.

<Snipped quote by BrokenPromise>
Actually when you put it like that, I can see it working, as long as Kriegspiel feels she's the one in control. She'd make it clear she wouldn't stand for boundary overstepping, so Oros might tone it down around her just to be accepted. Who knows, they might even have romantic chemistry of the domme/sub type.

She'd have to repeat herself a few times I'm sure. but I wouldn't be opposed to it. Though Oros is a switch that defaults to sub, final warning.

@BrokenPromise@LuckyBlackCat, I'd be ok with either of you to say the truth. On the issue of my CS being short, it's most because I was trying to one-up a certain disciple of mine. I'll explain Mercurial better in game with time.

That doesn't help me though. I mean, we have written together in the past and you seem pretty chill. I don't think you wouldn't be viable as a partner or anything. Though all the same, I feel like Oros would know more about Mercurial if they are in the detention squad together. But I won't push the issue.

On the other hand, I think that, if no one can settle on a final decision, and are ok with it, @TheWendil, @CamiCat and I may pick the teams with a dice roll or something like this. Just to get this business sorted and have the girls begin building up their team work.

It's not like we're that far away from getting all the teams sorted, are we?

Schrade & Will of the Wisps are matched up.

Earthshaker and Nyxia Torrentia, Neon Tempest of the Ultraviolet Rainbow verbally showed interest OCly, with Ponn saying they wanted their team up to happen ICly

Emeth said who they wanted for Evil Eye, and while Villamvihar also picked Lucky Black cat, Said black cat looks like their top pick is Acid drop, so it makes sense to let Evil Eye have Shatterscape, as that's their top pick. It might not be finalized, but it looks close.

That leaves Mercurial, Kriegspiel, Acid Drop, and Oros the Joyful. And that's going to get made up as soon as Dark Wolf decides which of us they want to play with. Once that happens, boom, you'll have your teams.

You do what you want, but I don't think I'd randomize it at this stage.

EDIT: Just saw Erode's post. And I mean, yea, that's fair too.
Oh yea, I thought it would be fun to make a tier list, because I love making those. I thought it would be fun to do one based on Oros the Joyful, specifically who would make the best partner for her. I primarily considered player synergy, personality synergy, and fighting synergy. Or in other words:

-How well I know the player.
-Chemistry between the character's personalities. (VERY subject to review, as not many people have posted yet)
-Ability to play off each other's talents in a fight.

Acid Drop
I've liked Dark wolf, but we never get to RP together as players. I usually end up GMing for them or we sparsely interact. I also like the idea of pairing Oros with someone who is immune to being seduced, as Acid Drop can't be made to feel the lust anyone else would. In addition to that, she could hit on others without upsetting her team mate, who likely wouldn't be romantically interested anyway. Also the emotion feedback loop potential is totally bonkers, as Oros can get quite hyper.

Nyxia Torrentia, Neon Tempest of the Ultraviolet Rainbow
Ponn is someone else I don't get to play with a ton player to player. Her snarky personality is a perfect balance to Oros's overly friendly nature, and I could see her trying to crush Oros's spirit at every opportunity, or play hard to get. Also would have stupid high DPS as they both fill the "I make stuff die" role at different ranges.

Kriegspiel
My GM from another RP. I think the player fascinates me more than the character combo. It's not horrible, it's just not as spectacular as some of the other ones. But I could see Oros's need for acceptance making her easy for Kriegspiel to manipulate, even if she'd have to stay on her toes to keep Oros in check. There's also some interesting synergy with the pawns where they could explode, causing Oros to bleed and become stronger.

Evil Eye
Emeth seem like a fun sort. Never played with them though, so a little skeptical. We do have good fun in the discord in the other RP. Evil Eye has no real way of harming people on her own but seems pretty OP against other magical girls. This would be the purified magical girl busting team if it ever happened. Otherwise, Oros's small area of influence means she doesn't get much benefit from Evil Eye's sight.

Shatterscape
I played with Villamvihar in the past, but only briefly. I don't know what to make of their personality, so can't comment on that either. I do like the idea of Oros charging towards her next waifu (the enemy) with fake waifus flanking her on either side. But I don't think they have a way of really benefiting each other, as Shatterscape gains nothing out of Oros's presence, and may be a liability to her clones if they get too close.

Earthshaker
I didn't get much interaction with Lone wolf in the last RP we did together, but I got the feeling that our needs are a little different. There might be some personality chemistry there with Oros being cute and Earthshaker being stone faced, but it's not as interesting as most of the others. And in fights? They're two melee characters that have no way of benefiting each other.

Mercurial
I don't think this team-up is bottom tier garbage, but the three paragraph character sheet doesn't tell me much about who they are or how they'd interact with Oros. I'd need to see a bit more of them before I could get excited about pairing up.
