10 hour shift >.< I can probably still squeeze in some posts but they'll be short if that's ok. Typing from my phone and whatnot.
I meant to get up another post but didn't have the time >.< so if the time skip happens, Rae agreed with Isabel and grabbed another gun along with her rifle, some med stuff and maybe a jacket.
I MISSED YOU TOOOOO HI WHAT'S UP

(……………also now seriously considering playing a fanboy)
oh lol i was totally joking about the fanboy. it's totally cool if you wanna play both! i may or may not make another character. still deciding.
<Snipped quote by Emma>

I was thinking about this- if the reboot is done, what I would do for the remaining characters is give them a background story for everyone else as to what happened so far; and then we can go from there. IE: In the reboot the king would have already been killed, and perhaps wrap up a few other events I had planned in start for a new story to blossom.

oh this would be ok too
present. if we end up being a small group rp, i think we should keep this thread, but adjust. like, keep all the characters together, or have people take on multiple. the plot would probably need a little fudging but it's too early in the morning for me to think of ideas =P
Haha sorry for the wall of text >.< no worries you don't sound snippy. I was just kinda rambling lol. I don't really have a preference to who's following lex. Maybe it's just some fanboy who figured her out and wants her autograph xD but really, I'm cool with whatever.

Did you want to play both queenie and joker or did you want me to take one of them?
post is finally up! i wanna make it clear that the figure doesn't have to be jack. i mean it totally can be if you want. but another option is someone with the shady organization (or heck, even one of the card deck) or some total rando.

this post took so long because it was actually… kinda hard to write? i'm still not satisfied with it lol. but i mean lex's just a big mess right now, so it makes sense that the post is too =P

also, some food for thought! i think it'd be a good idea to have lexa at some point be jack's caretaker/savior like he's been doing for her. just to give her an opportunity to say 'yes, i care about your wellbeing on some level, and i'm gonna help you.' it'd even out their relationship a little bit so it's not just him looking after her, and draw them closer together, i think. she'd be forced to acknowledge something other than animosity for him, lol.

also, lexa currently doesn't have a personal stake in the card game (that she knows about) so maybe having someone from the org realize who she is, like shirley recognized her powers (because obviously he's alive lmao) and realized she's the First, the kid that went missing, is a thing to do. i mean, or we can hold off on that too if you want! i'm just throwing out ideas, and if any of these catch your fancy or you'd prefer something else, let me know! i'm totally game for whatever.

if there anything you wanna build up to or mix in for the story/jack?

also, if you wanna start introducing another PC or two i'm down for it. i think we've gotten the hang of lexa and jack and how they interact. i mean we can totally hold off on it too! i'm fine with just focusing on their budding relationship for now ^.^
Lexa didn't know what to do with that answer. She didn't even know how to touch it. The weight in his words pressed down on her, nearly taking her breath away. If she'd had a hard time standing before, there was no way in hell she was managing it now. And asking him for help now after… that… it was completely out of the question.

Whatever she'd expected him to say, it hadn't been that.

She… made him feel human? He looked at her like she was a question. Like she was the answer. And what… was she supposed to be responsible for him then? His link back to humanity, to pull him back from whatever depths he'd dropped to?

Whoever Jack thought Lexa was… she wasn't that person. She could barely keep track of her own humanity, let alone someone else's.

But she didn't hate him. She knew that with shocking certainty. Lexa didn't like him. But after everything… she couldn't say she hated him either. Lexa wasn't sure how that had happened. She wasn't sure how any of this had happened. Care-taking and bizarre confessions and a tenuous sort of peace between them. A confused swirl of emotions churned within her, and she was too tired to pick them out and name them all. Confusion and apprehension were the only two she knew.

Lexa didn't know what to do with all of it. She looked away.

"I need to rest," Lexa finally said, breaking the silence, and any sort of moment they might've been having. She pushed herself back to her place in the center of the bed, and tried not to think on how she was laying down in his sheets, on his pillow, in his home, about to willingly sleep in front of him. Most of all, she tried not to think on how… she wasn't afraid of what he'd do when she slept. "I'll be ready to leave in the morning." Well, she wasn't exactly sure about that. She'd never had to recover from something like this before. Who knew how long it'd take her body to bounce back after this round of abuse? But she was leaving this damn confusing place as soon as she could do it with asking Jack for help, even if it meant she had to crawl her way back to reality.

She looked up at Jack one last time, almost reluctant.

"…Thanks."

Lexa was gone before dawn had even finished stretching its rose red fingers across the sky.

A week later and Lexa hadn't put on her uniform since that night. She was fully recovered, new scar and all. But something made her hesitate when she looked at her black outfit, folded under the rest of her clothes in her drawer.

She didn't even have her sword, Lexa tried to explain to herself. It had been buried in the rubble of that warehouse, and if not, then it was likely in police custody. She'd have to take it back, if they had it. If not… time to look for a new signature weapon.

(That sword had been a gift from her brother when she'd gotten her black belt. Well, from her parents. Her brother hadn't had that kind of money, but it'd been his idea and his name on the card. A heavy sorrow weighed her down at the idea of losing it forever.)

At least the city had been relatively quiet. Only average, petty theft and trespassing. Nothing that required her immediate attention. No news about the card deck villains, or Shirley (whether or not he'd survived the warehouse) or… Jack. That was for the best, she told herself. She didn't need that whole mess cluttering up her life.

It was ten at night when Lexa was walking back home from a closing shift at the bookstore, tired from trying to throw a couple out who just wouldn't leave. She walked slowly, hands stuffed in the pockets of her jacket and looked up at the light-polluted night sky. A pair of footsteps was trailing behind her. Following her. She knew because she'd taken four unnecessary turns, and still the steps echoed behind her. She was starting to get annoyed. Finally she stopped walking.

She turned to face the figure fully.

"Wrong night, wrong girl." Her tone was decidedly unimpressed. "What do you want."

Rae shared a wicked smile with Isabel at the other girl's words. Who exactly said tall and grumpy was the only one with a weapon? She still had a trick or two hidden between the plating of her biotech. That firearm was potentially an issue, though. He didn't seem all that trigger-happy, but it never hurt to be cautious.

The curmudgeon in question then had the nerve to actually call them out. Rae raised an unimpressed eyebrow as he turned back to the ship, annoyance growing inside her. Now she sure as hell was gonna poke around the ship. If he wanted to start something she could take him, illegal gun or no.

But before she could do more than narrow her eyes at his back, the prime bitch of juvie stomped her way over to Rae and Isabel. Rae was getting real goddamn tired of people barking orders at her. And where the hell did Athena get off? Rae would trust gramps with the gun over Athena any day.

But if the bitch wanted to get herself shot while they went exploring, then that was fine with Rae. She glanced over to Isabel.

"Come on." She started heading towards the ship, careful to stay out of the man's line of sight. Creeping onto the ship, Rae started looking around. Aside from the part where it'd gone barreling into the planet's crust, and how the outside was black and scorched after burning through the atmosphere though, the ship was in astonishingly good condition.

It wasn't long before they found what must've been the ship's cargo hold, and Rae's eyes lit up at the treasures hidden away there.

"Oooh," she cooed. "Hello, there." Her slender hands curled around a rifle. It was an older model, bolt action with a scope, black and clean. Rae brought the butt against her shoulder and lined up her eye to the sight. She hadn't used one of these since before her arrest. "Yup, I think we're gonna get along fine," she said to her new friend. She'd have to take it apart to make sure it'd been properly maintained, but it looked to be in good condition. Her mouth skewed though as she relaxed and looked down at it. Rae had used guns before, sure. But she'd never had to use one to survive.

She'd never been stranded on an alien planet before. Then again, not many had. At least, not many who went on to tell stories. For a brief moment Rae let the reality of the situation wash over her. Then she shoved it down.

Turning her attention away from the rifle, she started scanning the room for ammo. She'd just found a few boxes of it when the unmistakable sound of a scream pierced the ship's hull. Rae straightened to attention immediately.

"That didn't sound good."
