Hey, I just added short little character sheets for all the counselors to my post with Tempest's character sheet. Please check them out! They give a little background on the camp, and since the counselors will probably be used pretty frequently, it's important that you all know what to expect from them. Thanks so much!

☽ Welcome to Remedy, a Summer Camp for “Wayward Juveniles” ☾

Dear Camper,

Congratulations! You’ve been accepted to the government-funded summer camp, Camp Remedy!

If you’re reading this, then you’re like me. No, not a wayward juvenile like the general public believes, but a Leoh, or as we’re more commonly known, a supernatural. You may have known this your whole life, or this may be the first you’ve heard of it. Leoh have been around since the dawn of time, through we were quickly outnumbered by mortals and make up about 1% of the general population. Most of the time powers are hereditary, passed from parent to child (with the occasional skipped generation), though there is the occasional case of powers appearing out of nowhere. There is also the case of powers being transferred to a person (in the case of transmittable powers, such as vampires or werewolves). However you became a Leoh, it is now your responsibility to learn how to live with your abilities to protect yourself and every other Leoh on the planet from being discovered by the general public. While certain people in the government know of our existence, it is widely believed by those who know of us that the world isn’t ready to know that Leoh make up just over 5% of the population.

Our goal at Remedy is to teach the juvenile Leoh (ages 13-17) to control their powers, so they can fit in seamlessly with the mortal world. Juvenile Leoh are known for losing control of their powers when faced with strong emotions, and we spend a fair amount of time a day teaching campers how to maintain control of their powers under stress for not only their safety, but the safety of the mortals around them. Our second goal is to teach the different species of Leoh to be more tolerant of one another. Tension between species of Leoh have been rampant since the beginning of time, but as our numbers dwindle in the modern world, it’s important that we learn to stand together, not as vampires, fae, witches, et cetera, but as a single unit. We achieve this by teaching one another about our respective cultures and encouraging a safe environment for each species to live their lives the way the Gods intended.

☽ Cabin and Abilities Lessons Assignments ☾

You will be assigned a cabin with other Leoh of a different species from you. Even numbers are female cabins, while odd numbers are male cabins. There are two people to a cabin. You will be assigned based on what gender you identify as. If you don’t identify as male or female, you will be assigned to whichever one you believe suits you best.

You will be placed in an Abilities class based on your powers. Similar powers will be put together.

The Mess Hall, 11:30 am, June 12th 2017, Day 1

All of the buses of campers had arrived, and all of the campers had been corralled into the Mess Hall for lunch and a welcome to the camp. Lilac, head counselor, stood at the front of the room. She stepped up onto a chair to get the attention of other campers, though the added height only put her at about the same height as many of the campers sitting down. Holly was used to this, however, as a Fae, and knew how to work around her small height.

"Good afternoon, everyone," She said brightly, easily drawing the attention of most students with her natural Fae charisma, "And welcome to Camp Remedy's 200th annual summer camp!"

She paused, and a few campers clapped halfheartedly. Determined not to let the lack of enthusiasm deter her, she carried on.
"For all of you who are returning, welcome back! For those of you who are new and don't know, my name is Lilac Honeybell, and I'm head counselor here. We have a great year planned for you guys! First, enjoy lunch at your own leisure, and then please stop by this table," she gestured to the plastic one by the door where the rest of the counselors sat, "to get your schedules and cabin assignments. We will also be providing a personal copy of camp rules for everyone in the hopes that it will prevent some of you from letting them slip your mind." She gave a few returning campers a look. "Today you will all have free time to settle into your cabins and mingle until dinner. We hope you all have a great summer, and if anyone has any questions, a counselor would be glad to answer it. We're recognizable by our purple lanyards," She gestured to the one around her neck, "And don't forget to have fun!"

Her speech finished, she stepped down from her chair. The lull of conversation started up again as she went to help the camp chefs with setting up the lunch buffet.

She was raised without any gender roles and believes herself to be the truest form of herself as possible, since society didn't effect how she was raised. Her mother and grandmother don't believe in consorting with men unless one intends to reproduce, and Tempest's biggest form of rebellion is dating.

She tends to get into trouble because she gets bored easily and often makes bad choices to assuage that boredom. She's fiercely loyal to her friends and can hold a grudge like no one's business. She’s a big city girl. She loves to stay out all night with her friends and get up to trouble. Her favorite feeling is watching the sunrise while being out on the town all night. She’s a hopeless romantic.

POWERS: She does classic witchcraft but specializes in hexes, curses, and storm spells.

HOBBIES: She likes to draw and listen to music. She really enjoys driving. She also likes to hike and dance.

HISTORY: Lilac grew up in the Seelie court, but eventually left because she had a dream to bring all Leoh together. She didn’t like the animosity between races. A few years after the U.S. was founded, she teamed up with the government to create a place for young Leoh to grow up and learn about their powers. This eventually became a summer camp as public education became accessible. She loves her job at Camp Remedy and believes it is very important for the future of all Leoh.

PERSONALITY: Lilac is naturally very charismatic and friendly. She is a very maternal person and she likes to take care of others. This can cause problems for her because she sometimes wiggles her way into other people’s problems when they want to be left alone. She’s very nosy but can keep a secret to the grave. She just wants to make people happy.

POWERS: She can manipulate emotions in a very minor way. She mostly uses it to take away anxiety and anger from campers.

HOBBIES: As the main teacher during Arts and Crafts, Lilac loves to create things using her hands. She knits, sews, sculpts, builds, et cetera.

HISTORY: A native to America, Kalliphae grew up in forest that Camp Remedy resides in. She travelled for many years when America was created and the cities began to spread, and was surprised to find Camp Remedy had been built in her home while she was gone. She learned about what Camp Remedy was created for and decided to join the team.

PERSONALITY: Kalliphae is a shy girl, but has become more confident since working at Camp Remedy. She struggles a little understanding the emotions of juvenile Leoh, but does her best. She looks up to Lilac, who she feels can do no wrong. She is a very hard worker. She can be a little ditzy at times. She has a very big heart and loves animals.

POWERS: Limited control over plants, can communicate with mammals

HOBBIES: Kalliphae loves to garden and grows most of the produce that is served to campers. She adores swimming, hiking, and singing.

ANYTHING ELSE WORTH MENTIONING: She lifeguards the camp lake during free time (as swimming is a very popular pastime) and leads the campfire songs.

HISTORY: Born a human, Thelma was out at a concert one night at age 19 when she was cornered by vampires and attacked. She was left for dead, but some bypassers noticed her and called an ambulance. She survived but was never quite the same. She got rashes from staying in the sun for short periods of time, she always felt weak. Her parents took her to a specialist who was an undercover Fae. The specialist recognized Thelma as a vampire and sent her to visit Lilac, who was very good at helping newly made Leoh adjust. After a few years, Thelma joined Camp Remedy so she could help other people like her who were changed into Leoh against their will.

PERSONALITY: Thelma has a great sense of humor and is naturally very loud. She does what makes her happy without worrying how others feel about her. She makes friends easily and is very loyal to them. Many campers think of her as a cool older sister, a role that she takes pride in.

POWERS: Can turn invisible for limited amounts of time, has superhuman strength and speed.

HOBBIES: Thelma loves to tell stories, especially horror stories. She likes to cook. She also enjoys running and can often be found doing laps around camp when she has nothing else to do. She spends a lot of time writing and has a few published novels.

ANYTHING ELSE WORTH MENTIONING: She usually sleeps during the day. She sometimes tells her stories around the campfire. She breaks up any fights and patrols the camp at night to make sure everyone stays in their cabins. She often helps the camp chefs prepare meals for the campers.

HISTORY: Not much is known about Mimthoy’s past. All that is known is that he began working for the camp ten years ago and Lilac places a large amount of trust in him.

PERSONALITY: Mimthoy is fairly quiet. He tends to scare people when they first meet him, but once people get past his creepy appearance, Mimthoy is an excellent listener. He isn’t very good at offering advice, but he’s always willing to let people vent to him if they need to. He is very kind to new campers and tries to help them adjust however he can. He’s good to ask for help if one doesn’t know how to navigate camp.

POWERS: He can communicate with the dead and can walk through walls

HOBBIES: Mimthoy enjoys reading more than anything else. He also likes to take long walks in the woods surrounding the camp.

ANYTHING ELSE WORTH MENTIONING: His main job is being available so campers can talk about their problems (family issues, relationship issues, et cetera) in confidence. He also leads the occasional hike through the woods during free time. Many of the more adventurous students love these hikes, because they go different ways every single time and always end up at some place amazing.

HISTORY: Reimred’s father left his mother before he was born. He was very close with his mother growing up. He attended Camp Remedy as a juvenile and fell in love with it. After his mother passed away of an illness five years ago, he began working at the camp.

PERSONALITY: Reimred can be a bit brash. He’s popular among the campers for his dirty jokes and complete lack of a filter. He’s very blunt and doesn’t like to dance around issues. He can make anyone laugh. He’s very carefree. He has been known to prank campers occasionally.

POWERS: He can communicate and control reptiles. He can see through their eyes as well.

HOBBIES: Reimred loves to tell jokes that he makes up. He likes to hunt on occasion (but only legally). He is very good with a bow and arrow. He is very outgoing and is almost never on his own.
