In response, Toon Girl goes through various ridiculous methods to do so that obviously have no chance of succeeding, despite Question's increasing protests that there's an aerosol can in his coat pocket that will actually get the mask off.

Actually, you're forgetting the JLU episode where he's saved by Huntress from the Cadmus facility.
EDIT: Well, Huntress and Superman, but Huntress was the one who actually got him out while Superman was too busy fighting Captain Atom.

Just for humor - since the senior citizens play along, will be chalk-full of hilarity.
Old Question, upon noticing Jessica in alligator/crocodile form, raises his cane in a defensive position whilst backing away. "Jeez! Who left this crocodile here? Don't you all know that crocodiles were manufactured to lower the population in swamplands?"
