Bio

Guess I should write this thing, huh?

It's me, Citrus Arms. I'm 32 now, married, an aspiring indie game dev, as well as a hobbyist writer. Well, who here isn't one of those. I've been meaning to write a book, but that's a big project and I've yet to finish more than a chapter and a prologue. Plotting a whole book is hard work, man.

I'm open to 1x1s and group RPs, feel free to invite me to something. I'm also part of a discord RP server of an old friend.

My favorite genres are fantasy and space, and I've got an original Universe that blends the two together. It's a post-apocalypse galaxy on the way to recovery, so there's everything from straight fantasy worlds to post-apocalypse survival available within the setting. The universe recovers and grows stronger with unity and inner strength.

I'll put up a sheet for nations and ships in a minute.

@Aerostorm Any thoughts on what you want from the RP?
Alright, later than I said but it's compile time.

Maybe I'll conjure up some sheets first...

Quite a lot had just transpired, though things had gone well in the end. The princess herself had come forward to speak against her father. After last night, he understood why. A war declaration is one hell of a way to have your drink spoiled. This was refreshing, however. He wished the princess every success in her coup. Maybe he'd even help, but getting caught up in a civil war sounded stressful. Not that sitting under the king was going to be great, either. The way things were going, they might get tracked down and enlisted. Be made to give people nightmares or something else unsavory.

As he ruminated, he caught someone waving, and calling to him. Oh dear, so much for the shadows. It was the woman on the roof, and she'd made friends. A few more friends than just that, perhaps. It sounded like she'd also found out she was siding with the princess.

But that wasn't really Aiko's concern.

At first surprised to be called to by a stranger, this woman seemed friendly, despite the ruckus. Some people had a way of being two-faced like that, though, but being overly cautious never got anyone anywhere. So they approached.

He looked up at the woman on the roof, fluffy tail flicking behind him. "My, to have charmed such a lady already. I really must practice better discipline." Whether he had calmed things down himself or it had just occurred naturally was hard to say. In the midday sun like this, he doubted he'd done much.

"You seek a retreat and regroup?" The fox demon flicked his tail, smiling, "I know a place, just that way, the way I came. Cozy little tavern, good food and drink. Comfy beds," a slight smirk, here, a soft chuckle, "but let's not get ahead of ourselves. We've hardly even dined together." Another, heartier chuckle, though still subdued. Warm and at ease.

"Has the show ended? This is the after-party? It seems your show went rather well, better than you could have hoped. Shall we go and celebrate?"
Excellent, we gain another. Welcome!

I may be able to complie some lore together today, too.
Imperial ships are aquatic on the interior, owing to the aquatic nature of the manufacturers. For diplomatic purposes, as one of the few water-dwelling space races, they've found it advantageous to develop a wide variety of technologies to allow diplomatic and commercial intermingling with "drys". They have excelled in robotics to adapt to dry land, with their androids made their way through the markets as top shelf, even before the Black Year. The technology for the diving suits, for divers to come aboard their ships, is also for sale.

Their planet-capable ships can dive underwater to reach their cities, only some of which have ocean-top docks. They permit ocean-side tourist and resort settlements to be built, but monitor such locations closely for pollutants. They're very eco-conscious.

I'll compile the lore into the first post later.
Before the Black Year, and the retreat of the Dracon fleets, Luminium circulated among the galactic empires. It came from Drac space, useful as emergency fuel and as a currency. Machines from Drac, from ship equipment to appliances like ovens, refrigerators, to power tools and power supplies, could be powered by Luminium.

Millennia have passed since Luminium could be sourced. Now, it's been turning up in the wild. The race is on.
The Cosmic Empire, so called because they believe themselves to be the proper ruler of the Galaxy, conquers their neighbors and promptly vassalizes willing nations. Led by race of tentacled arthropods from the planet Odesion, which orbits the star Lacitra, they had a tense but ultimately friendly rivalry with the Terran Solidarity, who proved military might against them again and again, gaining their respect.

The Cosmic Empire consists of tentacled, squid or octopus-like rulers, and a more crab-like subservient people who provide labor and muscle, though their previously conquered territories have a wide variety of races.
Warp drives were the method of crossing great distances between planets and empires. Naturally occurring hyperlanes between stars support the use of warp drives today, but such bridges are rare between galactic arms. There are the ruins of what can be around to be relay structures here and there, and just one remains active since the Black Year. Each system has a catapult, to facilitate warp travel by smaller ships. Or many of them used to, at least, but many now are broken.

The nomadic tribe of humans, a coalition of the very last remains of Old Terra, wanders the hyperlanes, seeking out anything of value to support their livelihood. They're a shadow of the civilisation they came from, but they represent what little humans have to call home. Ancient ships protect these people and ensure their safety.

Perhaps the only other people who remember the Terrans, perhaps only for the remnant at the edge of their territory, their nearest neighbor used to share quite a rivalry with them. Military skirmishes were frequent, though ships were given retreat and casualties kept low. A people who believe in honor and might, the Mioran empire was an collection of different races. Since the Black Year, their territory has been shattered, with smaller nations rising from the remains of the old power. The empire yet plans to once again conquer it's previous territory, but the struggle may be intense.
There are a people in the "southern" quadrant of the Galaxy who are possessed of large, leathery wings and scaled bodies. They come in many varieties, but the ones most often encountered outside of their space are bipedal and approximately person-sized. As an empire, they managed to come out of the Black Year having fared much better than anyone else. They did have their hands full, and they certainly suffered their own losses, but they were not set back in the same way other empires were. Even so, they are a people that keep to themselves, and prefer to be left alone. Draconian ships have been a very rare sighting since the Black Year, when they all retreated to their own territory. More of a legend, these days.

Our story will focus on the eastern and northern quadrants, to start.
@WolfHorns mmm. Hmmm. Yes, I see... Well, they are related, certainly. I should be able to fit your character into the narrative, although we might need to hammer out a couple things. I'll hit you up with a narrative and see what you think.

Nice ship. @HEAVY METAL

@Lurking Shadow That's certainly something a chunk of Scourge could do. A strong enough mind and spirit might even be able to control it for a while. I'm thinking about, maybe, Scourge-corrupted Luminium. I'll need to think about the implications of that.

Edit: oh, I got a message
