Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Indeed, I also wish we had more people. I've always thought that I did a much better job with the initial phases of planning and writing a good introduction togather attention than I did with the actual GMing of this. To my credit we did have an amazing amount of interest at first, but most of it seems to have just evaporated. I'm not quite sure where I went wrong; maybe they just realized that this wasn't what they expected, or the slowdown in pace drove some away.

But anyways, I think I now have the workings of another mission of sorts in my mind. I'll try to incorporate some of those artworks and monsters into it where they feel natiral; that was a hood find on Deviantart.

I'm thinking that after getting the resources from the humans we've conquered, the treasure from these dwarves, and what the Horde is about to acquire from their next foray, I'll look into one final mission where we infiltrate the humans' capital and try to assassinate their Divine Emperor.

I had planned for a lot of stuff to happen (hence the big map) but I think the best course of action is to see this to a fulfilling and not terribly abrupt end, and then use what I've learned to make a sequel that hopefully turns out better than this did in terms of engaging a good sized crowd of people.
I'm certainly intrigued by this.

A query: it mentions each witch hunter as being worth a small army. Do the witch hunters themselves possess some sort of magic or something?
Cyclone, I should complement you on your GM'ing. You've made sure to keep us players engaged, always having something to do. Teleporting us to the dwarven outpost was a good move, and summoning the giant demon threw in some decent action. You've been cleverly adaptive, adjusting to fit the situation should any of us go astray. Well done.

Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better about this. Hopefully it somewhat compensates for how slow I've been on some of these posts.

On that topic, I will see about making another response tomorrow. In the mean time, any ideas/suggestions for where I take the plot along next?
@FacePunch
Well, you have my approval. It would certainly heat things up. If the war starts soon because of this, I think I still should be able to blockade Moravia, considering their navy is almost non-existent as of yet.

In all likeliness, considering that the process of invading that other nation is secretly underway, the terror attacks would probably be blamed on those people instead which would provide a nice little casus belli, something that Moravia lacked.

I have a feeling that since it certainly is not in Zenovia interests to send over trolls for a terror attack, the blame would be attributed more to the PRK than anybody else. To avoid looking weak the Caesar would probably still be forced to use diplomatic pressure and thinly veiled threats to bully Zenovia (and the PRK if he can get away with it). This might be the chance for princess and her peace corps to shine.
@Voltus_Ventus

Forum trolls?
@FacePunch

It would work. Moravians hate both trolls and Zenovia in general; they're just a gasoline can waiting for a spark.

Though keep in mind that there aren't really trolls in Moravia and racism mostly keeps it that way, so how they got inside and went about relatively undetected until they started burning stuff would be interesting.

If this does ever get linked back to the DRA I'd imagine it would be bad, with both of your neighbors seeing you as some sort of terrorist threat.
Toppled over by Torrens' retaliatory blast and another barrage from D'Artagne's catapult, being impaled by both Emily and then Balothiss proved a mortal wound. Convulsing wildly as searing blood gushed from where it had mutilated, it let out a harrowing scream and flailed its limbs its a scything motion at Balothiss and anybody else unfortunate to be close to where it had fallen. Its spasms and howling grew rapidly more frantic for a brief time, until the thing simultaneously disintegrated and exploded. Rocky, demonic flesh crumbled to mere ash while the monster's burning heart erupted into a nova of flame. When all was said and done, nothing was left of the demon save the ash and bone that its demise has strewn everywhere through the cavern, as well as the destruction that it had inflicted during its brief time in the world.

All the straggling dwarves had now been found and killed; there was no more resistance to speak of. Further back in the cavern, a seemingly oblivious Master hummed loudly to himself as he conjured another gateway to the inferno and brought forth wave after wave of imps. A small horde of demons advanced into the storeroom to seize the alchemical explosives that the Master had come for, but the red tide did not stop there. The rest of them poured elsewhere, invading and pillaging what few buildings had remained barricaded and safe, picking through the bones and remains of the dead, and braving the crumbling remains of houses.

With the outpost thoroughly sacked and his minions already scouring it for every last bit of wealth, the Master now turned to his champions, the lot of them having had a few minutes to rest and regain their bearings after that incident with the massive demon. "Now how will we make this look like the work of the humans?" he asked in what could have been either a sarcastic or genuine tone. The look that he gave his followers was somehow both quizzical and lazy at the same time. No doubt the callous Dungeon Keeper was already bored yet again.

It would appear that he had already forgotten about the demon that he had just summoned, having either missed the spectacle that it had created or simply being so unimpressed and indifferent as to not even comment on it. The two were almost equally likely, as those in the Horde of Evil were most likely aware.
@BBeast

Should be able to get that post out today.

I'll probably see about wrapping up the attack on the dwarves as well. Any thoughts or objections to that?
My major plotline with the Moravian invasion of that little country has been stymied by @Willy Vereb's lack of posting. As was discussed way back, Moravia wants to get Yllendthyr to help them with it. They also did send diplomats over during my second post, so yeah.
Seeing as some nations don't even have posts up, I see no way that this will survive and thus have stopped posting myself.

It'd be nice if I was proven wrong and given renewed motivation.
