Bio

Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

@Rtron

So how do you feel about Vestec and Zephyrion being partners in crime?

At least at first, until I imagine something of a bitter rivalry might emerge...

It brings up the question if Emotions is a domain or a portfolio, because it can be both.

I'd say it depends. Just emotional manipulation is probably precise enough to be portfolio.

If their abilities are so broad and powerful that they're like Ialu was, emotion is probably strong enough to be a domain. His greed and ambition was so strong that it was a supernatural force that lead him to whatever he wanted.
@Kho

The forge god/god of artisans is a common theme throughout religions, but are there really gods of carpentry, masonry, axe-making, and things so specific?

I suppose crafting could be a domain, but I'd feel like it's a stretch.
@Dawnscroll Have you considered a god of Order? I'd say that is a definite gap

On this topic, some other domains I see as holes in our makeshift pantheon:

-Matter (Earth)
-Water (Oceans)
-Emotions (Greed, Ambition, etc.) This was my pick in the last RP and it was fun.
-Skill (Crafting, Farming, Tools)
-Evil/Hell/Occult (Demons)
-Nature (Hunting)

Edit: ninja'd slightly by Kho's edit. Although I did figure that Zephyrion, as god of change and air, would cover seasons.

I suppose that with such a broad and encompassing domain and portfolio, I could yield some room or share some overlapping powers with one or two gods.
@Khoyou forgot me xD
I'll migrate my WIP over from the previous thread to this one.

So...basically Hermaeus Mora from Skyrim. xD

Hah, exactly!

...and that's why I didn't use him. I just thought, blech, too unoriginal.
@HaelDamn, oh well. It sucks but it's not like it's game-ruining. I'm sure I'll find plenty other domains. Like the domain of deceit! Lies, secrets, thievery, sounds like my sort of thing.

I tossed around the thought of an absolutely diabolical god of knowledge and secrets that would appear as a void of utterly abyssal nothingness at first, seduce mortals and even gods with false promises or offers of aid (since he would, after all, know the secrets of nearly everything in existence) and then manipulate them to do his will. When he was done, he would at least appear in his true form as a giant mass of writhing tentacles and bulbous, whirling, eldritch eyes, though it wouldn't have been his form that changed so much as his victim's perception suddenly expanding to allow them to see what was always there.

And then of course, he would tortuously kill them and extract every last memory that they had, to add to his fathomless knowledge of the universe. And he would repeat this process over and over, out of both an insatiable curiosity for secrets and plain morbid sadism. Everyone would know his trick, but they would still be lulled into his clutches anyways, so powerful are his lies and promises.

Now I'm going for a much more mild god of change and air, but maybe what I just wrote will inspire you
Apparently I'm Neutral Good. Good enough (get it? Get it? :D *leaves*)

Edit: ninjad :O whatca get @Cyclone? It can't be...Lawful Good?!?

Your one guess of Lawful Good was wrong, and we'll leave it at that.
We'll not speak of the result that the alignment test gave me
