Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

So what should the overall population of Amestris as a whole? Would somthing from 5,000 to 10,000 people be a stretch. Then in terms of millitay strength, which I need to reorganize, I imagine about 15 to 20% of the population wouldn't be a stretch since Sin is sporting both a fulltime Pro army and a conscripted army.

It's truly a great toll to maintain a standing army of like 2% of your population. However, during times of war you could probably just levy about a 35% of your population as soldiers. Naturally they're untrained and don't want to fight, and they can't fight all year because if they do then not enough people will be home to harvest the crops and so on.

Edit: As far as actual size of the civilian population, I'm not sure what to tell you. I'm not caught up with all the IC posts and therefore don't know if Amestris is just one city or an entire kingdom or something. For comparison, the Vetruvian Kingdom based in Vetros (as of my upcoming post) spans up and down most of the Mahd River and it probably only has a little over 10,000 people in it. At this point, cities are rare and what few there are probably have only a few thousand people at most. But it's feasible to have a ton of little villages united under one ruler.

@Rtron

I said it becausen I'm not seeing a lot of activity from anybody else except Amartia - the Angels seem blissful in their current state, and the ogres haven't done much except get lewd remarks from Astarte.

My hands are pretty tied with the ogres. I can hardly do anything believable with them creating an army and such until we have at least crude metalworking, and who knows when that will actually happen since it's been right around the corner for the past 3 months or so.

This was one of the reasons why I've been really itching to get out of the Stone Age. Fortunately I still can write about Vetros, and I'm about halfway through a really big post covering that and Zephyrion's latest doings (even though I'd hoped and said it'd be done a day or two ago). 17,500 characters are on the post so far though, so when it finally does come out it might be something worthy of what Termite would make.
Right, I'm trying to wrap up all the behind the scenes stuff so we can move on to the first big subject that troubles the Emperiat Empire!

Speaking of which, do you want to just mash together those PMs we made into a post for the IC? I don't see a real reason to keep the secrecy considering Chugo didn't hatch a plot or say anything that wasn't already known.
<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

Do I need to make a sheet for each og Sin's children when they reach adulthood, they will be Heros. Or I plan on having them be heros.

At least one sheet is probably warranted, though whether or not they all need it would probably depend on if you make them as 7 individual heroes or just do what Zephy did as Primus. I had him spend like 3 Might to make a whole family of heroes, and you could probably do something similar.
@Cyclone That was not her introduction. :/

Ah, now I remember. Wow, it's been like 3 months

@Cyclone This post here was her introduction.

You sure you didn't already get khookies for that a long time ago? Kho gave out khookies for some posts that were on page 10, and that's on 9. o-o

If that first post was somehow overlooked, I'll go back and add it too.

@Cyclone just basically any hero that was created by me (or lifprasil, in Susa's case) : >

To name the three: Makeda, Chroma, Susa.

Gotcha, thanks
@Kho Whenever you want, I'd like my Luna Khookies pls

@Vec for this post
Spelling and Grammar: 10/10
Writing Quality: 8/10
Story Line Advancement: 4/10
Character Development: 9/10
Independence: 6/10
Total: 37/50; 74%; 7 Khookies to Luna

Short and nice post that was a good introduction to Luna. Quality was good but of course at the end of the day it was mostly just dialogue and nothing of great importance was achieved, hence the 4/10 for story advancement. Still, I liked it!

To everyone else, I'll try to bake your khookies soon. The heroes that need khookies off the top of my mind are: Lakshmi, Ventus, Falas, and Allure. Am I forgetting anything?
@BBeast

The collab for that battle at the village happening yet? It's been so long that I've almost forgotten about it; hopefully me reminding you two or three times isn't annoying. I'm just worried that you might forget to include me in it after I went through the trouble of making a Holy Order for that fight.
Yeah for some reason undead ogres are apparently made of rock.

...a tradition of smashing dead bodies to bits will probably arise as part of ogre culture!
@OldManWong

Well look who's lurking back here again!
Tomorrow I will look to either make 1 or 2 posts. Ideally it'd just be one, but I just need to write very disparate things for both the ogres and Vetros and most likely won't find a way to neatly combine that into one post. Breaking it into two also gives me an excuse to procrastinate one section for a while.

...and as usual, I only share because openly declaring my intent to post seems to be the best way to give myself motivation tomorrow when I'm inevitably going to be feeling too lazy to start a post on my own initiative.
I get that since they based their (demi)gods around technology those few people want to be the ones to make wheels and so on, but if their monopoly over that form of technological advancement holds the RP back then it should be broken.

From past conversations I know that we're fairly divided (some would've liked to just breeze into a medieval-LOTR era as we did in the last Divinus, whereas others are really savoring this primitive stage) but I think we all can agree that there needs to be some steady progression. To any that really want to keep RPing in a Stone Age setting, my answer is to make a separate planet in the RP that has a lower technology level. Easy. Then that opens up Galbar to more storyline potential.

So, my stance on the issue: I'm all in favor of getting technology chugging along, and I see no issue with Lazarus, Amartia, or anyone else contributing (albeit in what's probably a smaller way). Trying to seize complete control of technological advancement for Teknall and the demisisters is about as extreme as Zephyrion and his elementals assuming control over the formation of all landforms and me telling everyone else that they can't make these mountains and oceans. There can be some middle ground, folks.

Thoughts @Kho@Rtron?
