Bio

Hi.

I'm an Interdiscplinary BA, searching for a job in the current market, and this site has been my introduction to role-play. I prefer medieval and/or sci-fi roleplays and am a fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, RWBY, Fire Emblem Awakening, Superheroes, and Fairy Tail.

I did. Gwendolyn's ignoring him. And waiting on @Fetzen to join.

Gwendolyn smiled as she rose from her seat, "Well Kerylun, looks like a quest awaits us. A first challenge for this team. We may as well heed the call. You have your stuff, right?" Then the elf walked to the orc and the king's messenger, "I'm ready. My friend should be coming along shortly."

The white mage chuckled with the gargoyle, "Yes, the name is a bit ironical under present circumstances. But it's a serviceable one and should be apt once we actually fight on quests." She tactfully ignored the creaking chairs, no sense embarrassing him. Besides, Gwen wasn't sure if anything she could do to help would be welcome. So she answered his next query with a nod, "I would like that. Partners in archery, so to speak."

Then Gwendolyn noticed the knight that was suppose to lead them leave the inn in a rage, seemingly flustered about something. " I guess we're down one tank," she said. "Wait a minute. Tank? Where did that term come from?" Then the elf shrugged her shoulders, whatever it was, it seemed an apt description of what would have been Seth's role in the party. A role No could play to some extent but not very well. Gwen surveyed the crowd and spotted the orc woman. Said her name was Shama Molokai, hadn't she? She hadn't been assigned to anything yet since she had arrived late, she seemed nice, and something about her screamed the mysterious word "Tank." Then the elf turned to Kerylun, "Maybe we should ask Shama to join with us? We need somebody to keep the targets in our long range and she seems nice and the fighting type to fit the bill."

Are we going to do a game restart to before Seth announced himself as guild leader or are we having Seth all the sudden rush off and the new guild leader take charge and do the new quest team-ups?

"Hmm. Late to a meeting she scheduled. To the point with her speech. Engages in small-talk and is insistent on socialization." T'Plior wasn't sure what to make of this young captain. Her habits portrayed her as irrational, yet there were some strains of logic within. Her purpose for the forced socialization was logical but based on irrational ideas. Many StarFleet officers were certain that the only effective crew was one where there were no friction between crewmembers both on duty and off. Encouraged socializing was then an early test of whether the crew would "get along" as the humans say. Any crewmembers that caused trouble were marked and any further doubts of their capability with the rest of the crew could mean reassignment. Sometimes, the crewmembers were legitimately disrupting the smooth operation of the ship and the safety of the crew. Other times, it was undeserved on the crewmembers' parts. Logic dictated though that as long as the crewmembers performed their duties and didn't risk the lives and well-being of others on the ship, any crew relations that didn't harm either of those main tasks could be allowed. Starfleet had the example of Mr. Spock and Dr. Mccoy's friction not being a detriment to the operation of the ship to show that crew members could disagree with each other and still operate at peak efficiency.

T'Plior made her way to the food replicator and entered in her card. Her solution so far had been to work and eat only while around others, talk only when necessitated, and stay as inobvious as possible. Since the captain had gathered them in the mess hall and the launch was scheduled within the usual evening meal time, then logically she would be wanting them to partake of an early evening meal while socializing. The replicator opened to reveal ratatouille, a dish T'Plior had gotten use to from Academy days, with a glass of milk, which she then took to a corner, alcove seat within the hall. There she sat down and ate, observing the rest of the crew to test her knowledge so far of the crew (she would need to finish up her reading after launch) and observe anything not put down in the medical records and psych profiles or any deviation that could signal illness or distress.

"I'm going to be assigned with him?" Gwendolyn looked towards the obnoxious barbarian, wondering how on Rin would the mission not turn into a complete disaster if the two of them were on the same team. But her doubts were going to remain internal only. She needed the money. The Elf had used her last coin getting a room and food for the night. If the guild leader said they would have to be on a team together, then she would try to work with him. "Besides, the others seem competent at least." Gwen thought as she looked towards her other teammates. "We should be alright as long as he doesn't royally screw up. Good thing he wasn't assigned as team leader. Burr" She shivered a bit after that last thought then went towards the rest of her teammates while Seth handled the others.

"Well, I guess we'll be working together." She said when she was close enough to their places. Then the white mage extended her hand to whoever would take it. "I don't believe any of us has been properly introduced to each other. I'm Gwendolyn. You guys get hurt and I'll be there to heal them up."

Gwendolyn sunk back into her seat, full of relief and surprise. It had actually worked! She had thought the dope wouldn't be reasonable and a brawl would ensue, which she would have had a small chance of surviving without backup. But he had actually listened, stopped, and was now cleaning in that ridiculous apron. She grabbed another slice of apple pie and waited for the meeting to start, others were also ready. Then finally the knight called for order.

“Quite right, you two” He said as he turned away from the beast. “We’re all here for that meeting, so let’s all settle down and get to it, shall we?” He glanced over to the burly man in the apron.
“If you don’t mind me taking the proverbial first step here… We need to do two things to begin with…” He held up two fingers, counting down as he spoke “One, divide us into suitable teams to tackle quests as efficient as possible. And two elect leaders for said teams that decide which quests, tactics and team members are best suited. All agree?”

"Agreed." Gwen replied. "I think we've all seen enough to know the suitability of some people to be leaders." She glanced meaningfully towards No.
Yes, it is a mighty shame.
@Raizin

He has been the nicest and most thoughtful guy so far, bringing pies to a meeting no one else thought to bring food to. :)

"That's enough, No!" The mage calmly said, anger pouring from her eyes and adding bite to her words. She was at her wits end regarding this barbarian. First, he comes on hard to her. Then, he accuses the gathered guild members of stealing, disrupting her attempts to start a meeting. Now, he was about to either murder the counter girl or force her into something to pay him back. Gwen understood being angry about being stolen from, but this was taking it too far. "The girls here have a reputation for robbing their victims while performing their 'services.' Sorry for your lost, but you choose to bed one and therefore face the consequences. If you would kindly release her and come back to the table, we can finally have our guild meeting and then you'll have an opportunity to earn the gold you lost. Maybe she could arrange it so that the gold stolen from you would be added to whatever quest you undertake and that can be your portion, if she can't refund you right away. All that requires that you release her now. We're guests of the Bridgewater Tavern. The guild would have to meet somewhere else if you angered the owner by killing or forever traumatizing the counter girl. Then we would have no access to the mission board and no way to make money. Do you really want that?"

The elf stood there, waiting for his response in silence, prepared to draw her bow if he did try to attack her. She wasn't optimistic about her chances, but it was something. Gwen also sent some healing energy to the girl, no sense letting her die while waiting for the big dope's response.
