If you need help, J'onn or one of the other Martians would know something about de-programming a person's mind. Or I'm sure @King Kindred wouldn't mind having Thor shock Kal-El out of his programming, nor would @mattmanganon mind having Captain Marvel punch Kal hard enough to keep with how Captain Marvel always punches Clark once as payback for how DC sued Fawcett over Captain Marvel as 'too similar to Superman' and so caused Fawcett to go out of business and end up being bought by DC.

I could certainly see that as well.

And he is certainly the type to be a big hero. I could arrange things so that he ends up being first on the scene if trouble does happen at the gala at the very least. And Emma's telepathy can help shield J'onn and Cay'an from each other, causing some dramatic irony as the two miss each other.

I do want him and Emma to interact too. It would be fun to see him interact more with another telepath, especially at this point. But he only inavertedly revealed himself at all and is worried about Mars finding him still at this point.

Though...Emma could decide to invite some of the unsung heroes to the gala just to add more PR to the stunt and J'onn ends up being among those selected to represent the police force through drawing straws.

As I've stated before, J'onn would not want to go to this event because he will want to get out of his green form and get back to hiding as soon as things calm down unless he's very much cajoled into it somehow. Besides, I also imagine the regular police force would be called in to help with getting the city back into order and so he'd be called in as part of that.

Cay'an would though definitely fly over to become someone's plus one/escort for the gala. If there's any rich guys at the ready for that, feel free to let me know.

Yeah, I misread that since I was picturing that Emma would only highlight the heroes that were on camera. But that's my bad.

Peter wasn't part of the fight in New York though. (Especially not where the helicopter camera was)

Maybe if he helps with clean-up?
