Implee

True Name: Aeshma 'Az' Implee
Title(s):
Coercer of wrath.
Tempter of vengeance.
The whispering shoulder imp.
Inciter of violence.
The reasoner of rage.

Height: 1'2"
Weight: 7lbs
Age: Unknown
Race/Species: Devil kin -Consular Imp
Tier/Influence: 4 (Regional)
Group(s): Nothing yet
Appearance: Although he can alter his form into that of any tiny animal, Implee normally appears as a tiny, red-skinned humanoid with a pair of black wings and a long tail ending in a poisonous stinger. The imp has taloned claws for fingers and skinny legs.
Personality: It is some what expected that a devil be devilish by nature, Aeshma Implee does not disappoint. Sly, conniving, deceitful and selfish. He is nasty, spiteful and self serving, but excellent at hiding it. His true personality is so hidden beneath the plethora of masks and personas that even he nearly forgets who he truly is.
Abilities, Talents, Traits, Powers:
  • ( 4 )Physical Manifestation
    • Alternate form
    • Invisibility
    • Immortality
    Implee can exist without form.
As an infernal creature of subterfuge and deceit he can also make himself invisible or change his appearance to that of any small familiar creature. While his body provides function, it is not completely necessary. Upon exceeding its usefulness or when damaged beyond repair, it simply dissipates in a bright display of burning ash and smouldering dark smoke. But it does not mean Implee is dead or even gone.
Upon its destruction it can take some time for him to gather the energy to recreate a new form. Without a form to anchor him to reality, Implee's powers and influence are considerably weaker.
Even without a form Implee can still travel and communicate with those he has previously bonded with or those that clearly carry rage and wrath heavy in their heart.
  • ( 3 )Soul bond
    • Skin crawling.
    • Telepathy
    • Devils rage
As a devil kin, Implee finds value from the worship and dedication of willing souls. This in its highest form is when another being willingly offers their soul and body for him to share. In giving this up and accepting him to be a permanent part of them, the duo becomes greater than that of either individual. With constant access to a ready soul Implee's powers are greatly enhanced and through the medium of rage, his bonded counterpart will feel increased strength, speed and bloodlust.
Now entwined by shared feelings and sensations, they can also communicate telepathically. Implee can also breech the laws of physics and reside within the bonded ones body. 'Crawling' about under their skin offering his powers of altering form or stitching closed wounds with his dark infernal powers.
The longer their relationship the stronger they grow, and the more permanent the slowly growing devilish disfigurement and aura of infernal darkness becomes.
  • ( 3 )Devil lineage.
    • Infernal tongue
    • Poison sting
    • Devils blood
Implee, while still considered a lowly lesser devil, comes from an ancient lineage of those not only powered by, but built from the violent emotions and happenings of relentless rage, wrath and fury. They feed on the anger of others and relish in the consequences of its actions. Encouraging and coercing vengeance at every turn, even if they themselves are the target of it. For this primal raw hatred is where they draw their power and from it grow into creatures of fable and nightmares. The only thing more valuable then someone's rage is their soul.
Their ancient infernal language lets them use that energy to manipulate or create fire. It adds potency to their natural poison and creates the desecrating darkness in their veins that adds an unholy potency to magic. The poison he produces is not fatal but debilitating. It aches and stings as it courses through the body adding fatigue and a sense of weight to the targets limbs while bringing on many of the symptoms of a fever. As the body slows the blood boils high increasing the targets likely hood of agitation and anger.

This is the historic collection of tales and events that detail the adventurers of the Lantallian and its crew.

First mission: Heading out.
Location:
Unknown

With the kobolds occupied elsewhere by the charming presence and conversational skills of Flak Macaque, who was supposed to be repairing the ship, Niyati considered the path clear and lowered the loading ramp.

He was pleasantly surprised to see Will arrive.

"Good to see you friend" Niyati says telepathically, stepping forward and placing a hand on Will's shoulder. Will's reflection showing up in that stary sheen, mask-like surface that was Niyati's face.

"I didn't realise we were in such close proximity, I didn't mean to cut short your time off." Niyati's telepathy was gentle and comforting, he spoke softly yet firmly with genuity and compassion, even though he had clever ways to redistribute words of truth.

Taking two steps back away from Will, he moved off the wet marsh and back onto the sturdy metal loading ramp.
"Don't mind Peter, his personality is still... Developing. Before we properly catch up we have the small matter of that." Niyati says with a nod towards something over Will's shoulder. "If you would be so kind?. he calmly asks.

It seems the kobolds noise and their presence had caught some further unwanted attention after all. A heavy splashing and crashing noise quickly descended upon the ship as a powerful large many headed beast burst into the clearance snapping wildly and hungrily.

"Peter, report on the creature and ready the weapons, just as a precautionary."

There was a hesitant pause by Niyati. Hard to determine on an expressionless face yet still it was there, and it was unlikely to go unnoticed by the familiar and perceptive AI. In the delay of his reply the distant sound of fruitless external attacks ceased to echo within the ship.

"Well, at least that is over then." Niyati replies as he taps away on the faded console trying to bring it back to life. Giving up he walks towards the exit.

"So Peter, in absence of a sand cannon, how would you recommend we proceed? Oh, and I don't believe I need to say it but make sure you keep a close watchful eye on that monkey of ours, would you. "

Before exiting the cockpit Niyati scans the ship and its perimeter for the thoughts of his crew and that of the creatures outside. Gathering the locations of everyone in question. Once content, he makes his way through the crew lounge, passengers lounge and towards the boarding ramp.

He wouldn't admit it but the ship had been disappointingly empty as of late. It was what lead to missions such as this. Forced to accept nearly anything that paid. Niyati was no beggar, but he couldn't afford to be a chooser either. Not right now.

One last telepathic role call went out to the crew as the captain asked any who were eager to join him at the loading dock.

Hi @RedBellyBSnake
Would gladly have you on board.
This part of the RP guild is one big universe called 'Expanding Horizons'
All characters have to get approved over here first.
Once that is good we can look at fitting you into the story. ;)

Arex Thorn

If the old fools ramblings held any sense of reason or sanity, Arex should find a noxious bog signalling the near end of this petrified forest. One of his many concerns were that he could not accurately measure time nor distance. If he reached the forest edge and was instead greeted by sand flats, then his path had wavered. If there was even a bog to be found at all...

Not only would the bog serve as an important marker and guidance along the journey to the supposable location of the Karnorouri pillar, but it was also supposed to house a small indigenous tribe that would surely possess an elder of quite some local knowledge and experience.
Arex really needed a more reliable source of information than the rambling notes of a lone crazy cannibal.

As he walked under the full weight of all his equipment, Arex mused on a particular poem that seemed of importance as he navigated through the gnarled grasping branches of the lifeless petrified trees.

First it was the stench that hit his nose, repugnant and foul it smelt of acidic death. Despite being repulsive this was a good sign. Soon after the terrain changed, in physicality alone but not appearance. The once solid ash covered ground now no longer a sturdy surface suddenly enveloped his feet and began drawing him in.

Quicksand!!!

It happened so fast and out of nowhere. Arex was caught by surprise, under all his weight and confusion he was sinking fast. Naturally he fought against it. Futile his attempts were. His actions only increasing the speed in which he sank.
Gathering his thoughts he stilled himself. With no aid in site he fills his lungs up and lets out a roar.

"HELP MEEE!!!! SOMEBODY, ANYONE!
JUST COME GET ME OUT OF THIS SAND!"

After that he falls silent as he waits and listens. Carefully he slowly draws his gun and gets it ready. There was no knowing who or what might respond to that call, if anyone at all...

As he continues to sink he takes one last deep breath before his head goes under. The vestige of his presence but a lonely hand wielding a gun.
Beneath the surface it was utter pure darkness, so deep and cold. Suffocatingly heavy. The ash sand squeezing tightly against his body, restricting movement, denying him of all his senses.

Aiden Shaw

Location: Lady Lucks -> Town

Aiden knew how to read a crowd, and as he watched his new friends weaving through it he read the confusion and concern that was driving people away from a nearby area. As thrilling as the current game was curiosity got the better of him. He watched the targets for as long as he could but the majority of his attention was focused on weaving through the sea of people flowing against him and finding the source of commotion.

Coincidently it seemed the woman was going the same way. Aiden didn't follow her but instead decided to shadow the group shadowing her. Even though he had put up every last cent of his money on this challenge, he still paused along the way long enough to purchase some skewered fried street food. Using it as an excuse to compliment and quickly flirt with the server.

For a short moment he had lost sight of the others. All hope of winning quickly faded into his stomach until he finally caught sight of one of the other competitors. It was back on. Aiden continued to patiently watch and wait.
