Right. Plan A is to just ask GM if their age difference can be chalked up to really good resonance. But I wanted to get some details ahead of time, and really, being a senior and just abandoning a partner or having them move away or be KIA or something is the easiest one.

Another school isn't possible. Only Death and co. even knew about demon weapons. It's DWMA or nothing.

(S)He also has shown to not know things about SE or be vague on them, but even (s)he probably wouldn't allow another school. AND EVEN IF YOU WERE FROM ANOTHER SCHOOL, YOU'D STILL BE ABANDONING A PARTNER. An 18 year old transferring into DWMA makes no sense. Just pick a usable backstory. Previous partner, late bloomer, whatever other things I suggested.

I don't think that's plausible. To say nothing of Death's opinion on free agents, without a weapon he couldn't do much. Unless he gave up for a few years and just got resolve, he would've either needed a partner or to have not realized his aptitude for being a meister until recently.
