Like genuinely, losing those two unclaimed gyms seconds before I could claim them has lit a fire in me pointed at Mystic that would rival Moltres itself.

I just spent three hours driving around playing go. I hit up a sculpture garden that had like 13 stops at it and all of them had lures. I leveled up three times and caught three eevees. If the tracker worked worth a damn I'd have five more eevees too. I also found two unclaimed gyms, which, seconds before I got in range to claim them, fucking Mystic claimed them.

I hate the dichotomy between me coming up with my best ideas, especially dialogue, when unable to write it down and the fact that I refuse to write them down later when possible and it's still in my mind enough to actually write it out. I came up with the final connecting dialogue for Mental and Wildfire if I ever actually make them and can't bring myself to write down even the fragments I still remember.

His intended question is, “What are we doing here [at the harbor]?” and Misty's response is, “Who knows? But we're here, so why don't we stay?” But, thanks to a triple meaning of the word “iru”, their exchange can also be translated as, “Why do we exist?” “Who knows? But we exist, so why not continue [living]?” Thus, as the movie ends, Ash and Misty unknowingly resolve Mewtwo's existential crisis through casual conversation and apparently stumble upon the meaning of life without realizing it.

Fucking pokemon proves for the final time that english dubs are sinful, except for the rare cases like Code Geass where they improve it purely due to faithful translation and because the setting makes for english to be more likely than japanese.

Alright, I am hoping to get a post up tonight after work or tomorrow on my day off. Sorry for the delay. I was kind of hoping that the other two might decide to come back to this story.
