Okay, I lied. My post needs some more work, in my opinion.
@Sep Whatever.
@Rin No problem for babbling.

The Clone Saga was just prolonged for too long. Then there is all that "Peter is the clone" and "Peter is not a clone". In my opinion, there are worse story arcs in the history of Spider-Man's comic career.

We have several characters avaliable. For the Avengers, we have Iron Man, Black Widow, Ant-Man, Wasp, and Steve Rodgers (along with other members who have not appeared in the MCU, like Hercules, Black Knight, etc). If you happen to pick the Wasp (Janet van Dyne), I just wanted to note that I wanted MJ to be mentored by her (hoping to introduce her "so").

We also basically have the entire X-Men roster avaliable. I am willing to allow people to play as Iceman (so @Natty, if you really would like to play Iceman, put up an application). Just note that since my interpretation of Spider-Man is taken from the Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends tv show, you might be restricted alittle. For the X-Men, basically all you need to make sure you do is include Firestar and Iceman on the team (both, along with Peter, are the age of Juniors in High School - ~16-18 for those of us who don't live in the U.S.) and have Professor X as the headmaster.

My suggestion would be pick a character that you think you would have fun playign as (I know, I sound like a broken record). Also, no one has picked a character from the mystical/magical aspect of the Marvel Universe (Dr. Strange, Magik, Clea, etc). There are still a lot of options out there.

@Sep: Hold you horses! I'll ge to it...eventually.

@Meridian: Application looks good. Only two notes:

1) Besides Spider-Man and Thor (the former having recently 'teamed up' with Loki and the later being an Asgardian), the majority of people probably would not know who Loki is. We could probably add Bruce Banner to this list because he too directly interacted with him. I don't know how much S.H.I.E.L.D. knows about Loki, but @Bright_Ops probably could provide a better answer.

2) On the "power remover" story arc, just note that you cannot cause these effects on another player's character without their approval first.

Otherwise, once your post says it has been 24 hours since it has been posted, you may switch over the application to the Character Sheet thread.
@Sep I didn't say that I was busy. I just said that I might get a post up today and I have some of it typed up already.
Will post tonight, sorry been busy :P

Maybe me too. I have some text written down on paper (or rather a Microsoft Word document) ;)
@Sep What was the link to the IRC (chat) that you made?

@Rin Glad you are still interested. Ben Reilly could be a potential character in the future (as I already have introduce the Jackal), but probably not feasible at this moment. Are there any other characters that interest you?
Marius | Abra

The idea of camping near this Marianne character sent a chill down Abra’s spine. How was it a good idea to pitch her tent near the object of the extremely passive aggressive mage’s obsession? She probably would get a better night’s sleep with the rowdy party that the Feroxi soldiers had thrown together because Abra would not need to stay away all night in fear of what the heck Marianne might do.

“Er…I think I’m going to first go see what everyone else is doing. If you’re here, who’s watching everyone else and making sure they’re not, like, causing havoc.” After giving her excuse on why she would not be heading to bed just yet, Abra ducked out of the tent, leaving Jacob alone in his quarters with the dark mage.

When she returned to where the rest of the soldiers, including the Shepherds, had been celebrating their victory over the church forces, Abra was surprised that almost everyone had dissipated and headed back to their own tents. It was eerily quiet, since just a few moments ago, most of the men had been celebrating with drunken jovialness.

After walking around the camp, which had so quickly turned into a ‘ghost town’, Abra stumbled upon where Marius had set up his tent. He was sitting on a makeshift chair outside of his tent, carving a small piece of wood with a knife.

“So, it this where all the sane people stay?” Abra asked.

Abra looked up from his carving, noticing the mage who had just joined the group after the victory over the church forces.

“Well, I supposed.” Marius responded, placing his hand on his chin as he considered his answer. “Although a few minutes ago some of our fellow Shepherds had a little, um, what should I call it, disagreement. No, that’s not quite the right word. Drama. That sounds better. There was a little drama over there.”

“I bet intoxication was a factor in it.” Abra concluded as she looked toward where the three Shepherds had stood. Marius shrugged his shoulders, not wanting to take any sides. Since Marius was not proving to be talkative, Abra turned to setting up her tent. However, Marius immediately noticed that she was stumbling over herself while trying to put the tent up.

“Have you pitched a tent before?” In response, Abra just gave the cavalier a glare. A flame kindled in her hand, growing by the second. “Fine, I’ll be quiet.” Marius rolled his eyes as he listened to the young women is her (almost in vain) attempt to prepare her sleeping quarters for the night.
So, silly question: would a Lizard born from a serum meant to fight the Hulk work as a concept? Specifically, one concocted from the DNA of the Marvel Universe's mightest reptiles of all?

When you say Lizard, are you talking about Curt Conners (otherwise known as the Lizard) or just a generic lizard? While I would not outright reject anything with Godzilla included it its lore (as Marvel did own his rights and the Avengers did fight him), I probably would not accept a Godzilla application on the principle that such a creature would probably be too powerful for the rest of the cast. Plus, what would you do with Godzilla.

If it is the former (i.e. Curt Conners), then I'm afraid I already have plans for him as the Spider-Man player. If it is the latter, I would prefer that if you wished to pursue that idea, to use an existing character and build up from there (like Devil Dinosaur). Also, as @Sep has mentioned, the Hulk has not really been active for a very long time, so a concept like that might be jumping the gun.

@Natty: Honestly, we can put the character that use wish to play as in it now (or just make that character a newcomer when you throw up an app for that character). I think the best thing to do is not to establish any backstories. That way, if someone would like to play as a certain character, they would be able to freely make their changes.

One of the biggest questions we have to ask is whether leaving Wolverine out because he is a popular character is worth the risk of no one actually picking him up?
I'm hoping to start writing my next Ms. Marvel post today (I want to get into a position where I start writing posts at least a day before I post them so that I can proofread them first).
@Sep Come on, man! Don't scare people away!

Okay, I have a second question for everyone. Since no one has shown any real interest in the X-Men, I was thinking of making them the first "universal NPC" for this game. Basically, as a group, we can determine the background of the group (although I probably would try to keep is a vanilla as possible so that we do not step on the toes of any future applicants).

The main reason why I am bringing this up is that two of my important npc's (Iceman and Firestar) are X-Men (or at least in this continuity). Iceman has always been the youngest member of the X-Men in its original incarnation (Cyclops, Jean Grey, Beast, Angel, and Iceman). One of my upcoming story arcs with Spider-Man (which has been hinted at by my last Spider-Man post) will involve the X-Men.

Therefore, I have two questions I would like for everyone to give me some feedback on.

1) Are you all interested in a Mojo story arc (I know I am beating a dead horse here. Sorry)? Basically, how this would work is as follows:

-Some of characters will be 'stuck' in the Mojoverse, where Mojo is attempting to make our characters his slave-actors for his television empire. Mojo will either try to trick the characters into staying by providing them with one of their greatest wishes (i.e. Uncle Ben is alive and well). If this fails, you'll be kicked to the more, well, dangerous television series.

-The rest of the characters will be attempting to discover why several heroes have dissappeared from the face of the earth. Once they have discovered Mojo has them, it is these characters' job to help break out the captured characters (probably a good role for Miss America and Reid Richards, as both would have knowledge of transdimensional travel).

2) For our version of the X-Men, what roster do you all prefer? Original? Giant-Sized? 90's? Right now, Professor X, Iceman, and Firestar are all confirmed.

Any and all feedback would be appreciated.
