The earliest memories that Sakana has are of his family, wandering the countryside. Back then, the villages had been established merely for a few decades, and thus there were still many clans that wandered around as nomads. The 'Uragiri' clan was much the same back then, though they did not bear the clan name of Uragiri.

For the first period of his life, Sakana was generally a happy child, not fussy at all, though he had frequent fits of anger for no reason. When he was three, the clan had decided to move into Konohagakure. For three more years he maintained the same attitude - generally happy, careless and seemingly obtuse to the world. But, again, also having fits of anger for seemingly no reason.

When he was six he entered the shinobi academy where he took classes or the rest of his youth until he was 12, and partook in the genin exams. Of course, by then the winter had already set in, and the tasks of a shinobi were taken much more seriously. They were reminded that they would not be fulfilling regular genin jobs, like rescuing loose animals, but would be sent to the front line to perform supportive operations.

While some genins were held back because of this, Sakana seemed more than happy to perform. He passed the genin exam, showing off average skills, and was assigned a team. He joined two of his co-students, both of which he knew, and was assigned to a jonin, who was an expert in sabotage and subterfuge. Not precisely Sakana's style, but he would adapt.

They spent the first year performing routine tasks, facing minimal resistance. This went from delivering food and supplies to the frontline, to running errands, to performing small scale intelligence gathering operations.

At the age of 13 he was actually sent into combat. They were sent specifically on subterfuge missions, sabotaging enemy supply lines and such. He saw a lot of engagements against the Kirigakure shinobi, who laughed at his name and surname, most of all. Of course, he laughed along. I mean.. he could see the humour, so why not. Something was funny about being named 'Fish.'

A year later the conflict ended and he could go home. He partook in the internal chunin exams a year later after the war, and made it to chunin by showcasing his battle capabilities. Of course, he was still pretty much average. But still. Sakana, pretty cool guy, if you can get past the attitude and swearing.

The Uragiri clan consists mainly of shinobi, although they are not of any specific quality. Unlike the Hyuga, they do not provide 'the finest', and unlike the Nara, they do not provide 'the brightest' and unlike the Sarutobi, they do not provide 'leaders'. Rather, they provide.. shinobi.

They started out in the lands of Kirigakure, but that was a long time ago. Only a fool would consider them Kirigakure shinobi. From Kirigakure, they traveled to Kumogakure, then to Iwagakure, and from there to the borders of Sunagakure, from which they went to Konohagakure.

They were perhaps the clan that wandered the most before they settled down in Konohagakure. From then on they named themselves the Uragiri clan, where as beforehand they had been nameless. Their clan name, meaning 'Traitorous' is often misinterpreted as referring to themselves as traitorous people. This is not true, but many Uragiri have simply accepted that people would never understand. They are, after all, not Uragiri.

The truth is that the name comes from their story - in Kirigakure they were used for their money, and then hunted. This was back when there was no real Kirigakure village. They escaped to Kumogakure, where they were then hunted for their strange appearance. That happened after they were betrayed by a Kumogakure shinobi, who promised them that they'd be able to earn some money if they performed some jobs for him.

Turned out that they were framed for murder, which was only added to the pile of accusations. They escaped towards Iwagakure, where they were once again betrayed, being promised a safe passage towards Sunagakure, but instead being assaulted because people thought they were wielders of a powerful Dojutsu due to their eyes.

After losing many lives in Kirigakure, Kumogakure, and Iwagakure, they had thought to find salvation in Sunagakure, but upon entrance in the deserts, they were met with shinobi who barred them entrance, explaining that 'their kind was not welcome' due to the fact that they had been chased for so long by the other countries. It was simply assumed they were criminals.

Being denied entrance, they went to Konohagakure, who gratefully accepted them, as the Sarutobi clan and Hyuga clan seemed receptive towards any clan, no matter who they were, as long as they proved to be valuable and honest assets to the Will of Fire.

Sakana's dreams are to, one day, become known as a shinobi that rose above the averageness of his clan. Ah, but that's really unlikely, no? Hm, well, he'd be satisfied to give those cocky shinobi with kekkei genkai a piece of his mind. That's a dream worth working towards every day! “Get the fuck out!”

His fears are the exile of his clan for some vague reason. He's not too pro-Konoha. He accepts them as his village, and he would support them in a war, but he doesn't feel like he's 'at home' here. But he understands that, without Konohagakure, they would not survive long in this world. Therefore, exile from the village would be disastrous. Therefore, anything that smirches the name of the Uragiri would be a bad thing for him.

Sakana prefers to fight from close to medium range, preferably using a mixture of ninjutsu and taijutsu or melee weaponry. He is capable of both the offensive and defensive, but his fast reflexes and quick movements mean that he prefers to be on the offensive. What he has in terms of speed and agility however he lacks in the strength department, and he is not a heavy lifter, so to say.

The weapon is made of simple steel, similar to most weapons. It has no particularly interesting qualities, and is a rather rudimentary weapon that he has alongside his regular kunai and shuriken. It's used for melee combat exclusively.

@Asura Eh, I'd say they have been around for a while. Basically they were created once it became apparent that, now that they were in a village, 'natural' shinobi numbers began to dwindle and they needed to fill that gap.

Probably been around for some good 20-30 years.

@Buddha True but that was two historical figures that weren't shown until the end. Power was relatively tame until it got to shippuden. Even then shippuden was pretty tame until the sasuke retrieval arc and naruto went 4 tails mode. At the begining it was always tactics beat power much like this rp. It became a typical shonen action series with ridiculous power like bleach and to an extent one piece.

Yeah, that's true. I mean, Zabuza was supposed to be some super villain that was really strong but compared to some of the Shippuden filler bad guys, he's just some chump.

@BladeSS4 That be a bad idea son. These characters were on another level. Kusaru oozed chakra because she simply had too much of it - naturally, not through tailed beasts, but because she was just '2 stronk super OP'. Plot tool character that served as the main antagonist.

Yamato was a character that somehow survived two roleplays and thus was also adequately powered up.

He'd tear everyone a new one. I'd prefer to keep things somewhat on par with the whole 'new characters' thing, rofl.
