Gotham City Reborn

I'd like to add a storyline to my character, and while I have a vague idea for it, I'm stuck on a few details. Basically I want Zero to have defeated a villain of his own at some point in his career, and now they're back and want revenge. The trouble I'm having is the villain itself. Should be original? A re-imagined canon villain? I have no idea and if anyone wants to shoot me a suggestion I'm all ears.

Not necessarily. Some species of plants can grow/bloom in the winter so she'd probably only need to use those against him to even the odds.

Name: Archer Graham

Alias: Zero

Powers: As a standard ice-wielder, Zero is quite adept at creating quick constructs made of ice. These often boil down to walls or shields to protect himself, or makeshift weapons to hit people with. He can form ice around another person to potentially restrain them, a good tactic for avoiding bloodshed. Zero does also have a unique trick or two. For one, he's been able to freeze a person solid after successfully grabbing a hold of them. Secondly, he's been known to form armor of ice around his body to further protect him from harm, if only for a short time. Zero is practically immune to cold weather and other forms of extreme cold, able to operate in even arctic climates with little or no heavy clothing needed to stay warm.

Skills: Starting out, Zero had only his metahuman powers to help him. He's grown a bit since then, though, and is now fairly adept at defending himself using martial skill. The nature of his powers has also brought out creative side to him, since his constructs are more less limited to his imagination. In the beginning, he was only forming ice walls and clubs, but has since varied it up to include shields and even some bladed weapons like swords and javelins. He's also begun training himself to maintain solid footing even on the slickest of surfaces, as a common tactic he's developed is to the freeze the ground around himself to force opponents off balance.

Weaknesses: Zero's constructs, while versatile, are still more or less just ice. He's learned to make his ice denser than average to make it tougher to break and melt, but enough brute force or heat will still render his ice unusable. His immunity to extreme cold also renders him more vulnerable to the opposite, extreme heat. It's not as serious as to kill him like it would for, say, Mr. Freeze, but it will generally make him fatigue faster and weaken his powers significantly.

BRIEF Bio: Archer was born in Gotham City, not exactly the happiest place for one's childhood. He was bullied in grade school and middle school, but the then recent appearances of Batman inspired him to stand up to his bullies and even stick up for other kids. It wasn't much, but Archer was only a kid. In high school things changed. During a plot to freeze the city by Mr. Freeze, a stray blast of cold and ice knocked Archer into a nearby barrel of chemical waste while he was trying to run to safety. Miraculously, Archer didn't become a human icicle. In fact, he no longer felt the cold at all. Soon after that he started to slowly figure out his powers. Now, some years later, Archer's had a bit of experience fighting crime as Zero, including a chance encounter with Mr. Freeze that ended up becoming his greatest regret. Of course, rumors about Batman's death were hard to swallow, but Zero was determined not to let that stop him from doing what was right, since that was what Batman would have done as well.

Storylines: *expand on his previous encounter with Freeze, and what that "greatest regret" was (it was an ice-enchancement drug Freeze created, called Formula X2-73) and have that regret come back to bite Zero in the ass (someone manages to get their hands on the formula and uses it to give themselves and others ice powers, like that episode of The Flash with the girl becoming addicted to Velocity-9)

Background: As a child growing up in Dewey City, Shane was first exposed to Pokemon thanks to his elder cousin Janet. An accomplished trainer with a specialty for Eevees, Shane got to watch when Janet first got her Eevee and even her first real Pokemon Battle. Since that time, Janet became the talk of the family as word of her skill as a trainer would always reach home while she was out journeying and making a name for herself. It was no surprise when Shane wanted to follow her lead, and soon he got his chance.

While visiting home, Janet's Leafeon and Glaceon unexpectedly produced an Egg. Coincidentally, it was right around Shane's birthday, and part of that celebration was his receiving a trainer's license. Knowing this, Janet surprised Shane by giving him the Egg, the Eevee whom hatched from it becoming his first Pokemon partner. Janet told him that when she first set out, she crossed the Mayone Plateau and made Forte Village her first stop on her journey, so Shane decided to do the same. However, he first wanted to look around in Arune Forest for Pokemon, and while there he encountered and captured a wild Budew, his first catch as a Pokemon Trainer. The plan now is to backtrack back to Dewey City so that he can make for Mayone Plateau and, after that, Forte Village.

Shane's original Pokemon Partner, Eevee tends to spend more time outside her Poke Ball than most of his other Pokemon, and can often be found snuggled in his backpack. She isn't shy, though, and is usually more than happy to pop out and greet someone if it hears or smells someone talking to Shane. She can also be tough when needed, too, she's an offspring of two of Janet's strongest Pokemon after all, so Eevee's not afraid to jump into the fray when she's needed. She's highly adaptable too, able to hit her opponents hard when it counts. (Ability: Adaptability)

-Budew-
The newest addition to Shane's budding team of Pokemon, Budew can be a bit temperamental when it comes to its size. Since Budew are naturally very small Pokemon, sometimes the bigger species can be known to bully them. In fact, that was Budew met his new Trainer. Shane spotted a flock of Pidgeys picking on him, and chased them off together with his Eevee partner. Out of gratitude, Budew let Shane challenge him to a battle and then catch him. Budew is usually very eager to prove himself, and as a result he hates being defeated. (Ability: Natural Cure) (Special Move: Sludge Bomb)

Trainer Perks: The less common, more gimmicky Poke Balls seem to work better for him than the standard ones. He also tends to prefer those Balls because they look flashier and more unique.

Personality/Background: In spite of being what most would consider a "celebrity trainer", Janet is far from being a diva. In fact she's more of a tomboy than anything else, and is always willing to accept another trainer's challenge, even if it's clear that she outclass them. In such cases, even in victory she's quick to complement her opponent when they've genuinely impressed her and will always leave them with some free advice gained from her own experiences. She tends to give Shane in-particular "special" treatment, in that she's not afraid to be more critical of his style or skill level in the hopes of helping him to toughen up.

Having also come from Dewey City, Janet started her journey at the young age of 13, with only a single Eevee at her side. Since then she's added several Pokemon to her considerably strong team, though she has gained a specific fame for specializing in Eevee and its various evolutions.

Pokemon: Janet has trained with several different Pokemon at this point, and so her active team changes around from time to time. Below are the Pokemon she's been known switch in and out of her active team.

-Glaceon: One of two Pokemon that she never benches for any reason. In Glaceon's case, it's because it evolved from her original Eevee from when she first started out.
-Leafeon: The other Pokemon that never gets benched. Leafeon evolved from a wild Eevee Janet encountered that took a liking to her own Eevee. They've become fiercely protective of one another and as a result are often used together in double battles.

@MuffinatorI thought I mentioned it earlier, but after catching Budew, Shane is now getting to ready to leave for Mayone Plateau.

Also, I'm still stuck on Appearance on Theme Song, unfortunately.

So... I know this isn't Buffy but would a Giles-esque character be acceptable? You know, the "dude has no magic powers himself but has read a LOT of books about magic and creatures and can be the guy who can usually figure out what their dealing with and how to kill it" sort of role?

Pokemon - Epic Journey!

@MuffinatorUpdated my CS. All I'm missing is the pic and theme song, and I'm admittedly kind of stuck there. Also, went ahead and distinguished Eevee as a Female and Budew as a Male, hope that's okay. Even gave them personalities of their own. Also decided to stick with a normal size Budew since I kind of gave it a personality that stems from being bullied in the past.

EDIT: Changed my current location from Forte Village to Arune Forest. Didn't realize the location had to be adjacent to the home town, plus that means he can start in a position to interact with Niko.
