“Great, another one using a massive key. Seriously? Do you people just stick that into people and unlock their deaths or something?”

The sound of Drake's voice in his ear made Seth do a double take before he remembered the earpiece things they were both wearing. Oh right... forgot about these things. Since they could still communicate Seth decided to shoot Drake an answer to his question, "Well, I mean... you're not entirely wrong." the Nobody said with a bit of a shrug that no one would see since he was alone. At least, he was alone up until a moment later.

Another Heartless appeared, a big fella too. He had to be a good five or six times bigger than an average human adult. It had bulky, muscular arms and a gaping hole in its torso in the shape of a Heart, "Heheh..." Seth chuckled to himself, having only just now realized the symbolism of a Heart-shaped hole, "I get it... because you're Heartless and - you know what? I doubt a beast like you is going to appreciate the joke anyway." it certainly didn't, as the Heartless proceeded to summon a squad of Shadows that tried to encircle the Nobody. This elicited a sigh of disappointment, "Really? We're going with this song and dance?" Seth said then proceeded to shrug and give his Heartless opponent a wide, unsettling grin complete with his right eye lighting up with a bright blue glow.

The Shadows lunged for an attack, but soon found themselves riddled with arrow-shaped energy shots. Seth's Snipers, still hanging around despite their previous target's retreat, cleared away the wave of Shadows so that their commander could focus squarely on the Darkside who, by the way, went about throwing its fist at the Nobody in a giant punch. Seth's response was to... seemingly stand there and take it head on, which he did. The massive fist stopped just short of Seth's body, the Nobody having caught the punch with his hands using his own considerable strength. The Darkside was still slightly stronger, proven by the fact that the impact of the punch still pushed the Nobody back a few feet. But Seth, still the smarter of the two, used this setup to his advantage. With its arm now pointed squarely down at him, Seth now had a direct path leading right up to the Darkside's face.

Seth was quick to act, his earlier Haste spell having not quite run out yet. He hopped up and dashed along the Darkside's arm before making a leap for the head. Once there he unleashed a flurry of swift punches, then followed that up by spinning his body around in order to slam his knee and shin on the side of the Heartless' head, effectively delivering a devastating spin just before the law of gravity forced Seth to land back on the ground.
Defend ally - defend hostages - defend ally - defend...! The robot stood still, like some kind of statue or stationary sentinel. His eyes were the only things moving, rapidly shifting his gaze between the rescued hostages and the black-clad metahuman under attack. His programming was rampant, trying to order him to do two tasks simultaneously. But since he was only one entity, Atom could not perform either task, and instead appeared to be at a mental impasse, unable to take any action. Then, it was all too late. The Baroness crashed down onto the ground, literally stomping the panther-man to death.

"Casualty report. One. Metahuman." spoke the robot in a cold, seemingly uncaring tone. At almost the same time, the fire meta offered to get the rescued hostages to safety, confirming the completion of the robot's task of rescuing them. Now both mission priorities were gone, leaving only the mission's prime directive of capturing the Amazon. But by that point, the Baroness was under attack herself from two different sources. A sniper opening fire from an unknown location and the armored nuclear man blasting her and attempting what could be a lethal drop kick on her head.

"Intervene! NOW! We need the Baroness alive!" Trent's voice, becoming audibly frustrated. Atom responded by locking all of his combat functionalities onto the Baroness, his thrusters beginning to fire up.

"Command confirmed." with those words, the robot was off like a blazing rocket. His flight systems were working overtime to get him to the target's location before she could be seriously damaged by her attackers. The robot was just fast enough that he collided with her split seconds before the first atomic blast could make contact. Such a physical blow coming seemingly out of nowhere took her completely off guard and the Amazon found herself in an aerial grappling match with Atom while he forcibly flew them both straight up.

They went up. Up. Up higher until they were nearly in the stratosphere. At this height, the air became thin, almost dangerously so. Fighter pilots always donned oxygen masks when flying at this height, and for good reason. The Amazon was strong, amazingly strong. Gifted with divine strength from her Godly lineage. But all the strength in the world meant nothing if one had no air to breathe. As the air thinned, the Amazon had to take deeper and deeper breaths which meant she couldn't devote as much concentration to fending off the robot's hold on her. Soon enough he had her in a literal stranglehold, until her eyes rolled into the back of her head as she lost consciousness.

"Target neutralized." Atom reported, now turning them around into a rapid descent back to the ground. He touched ground several meters away from where the Baroness had originally stood, but couldn't slow his descent fast enough to land gently. Instead he impacted the ground like a small meteorite, leaving a crater behind with a diameter that matched the width of a two-lane highway. The robot straightened his stance, the Amazon's unconscious form slumped over his shoulder, but he didn't move. In fact, he looked like he was waiting for something.

That was because he was indeed waiting. He was waiting for the containment unit which was no doubt on its way there to collect the prisoner. Metahuman prisoners like this one needed special modes of transport due to their wide array of abilities and powers. STAR Labs had recently began manufacturing such containment cells using a combination of advanced human technology, reverse-engineered alien technology, and even some mystical power sources. The latter would surely be needed for one with Amazonian strength, which technically counted as a mystical power that, ergo, could only be contained by mystical means.

"Monitor the other meta's there with you until the transport arrives." Trent's voice, giving some new orders, "The Baroness is a prisoner of the US Army now, so do not - under any circumstances - let them get their hands on her."

"Command confirmed." responded Atom, who then set about scanning the other meta's to assess their abilities and any possible weaknesses they might have.
Okay so, like, I have a post in mind, but it involves ramming into the Baroness at full throttle and tackling her into the stratosphere where the air is dangerously thin and then choke-holding her into submission. Kind of anticlimactic, but... hey even superheroes usually need oxygen to breathe right?

If there's still any plans for this, I'd be interested. I kinda like the sound of a Roy Harper that feels betrayed by Oliver and who stubbornly refuses to stop fighting crime even if he ends up being branded an outlaw for it. Could essentially use this premise as a means for him to have dropped Speedy in favor of Arsenal. Speedy was his mask before Anarchy's rise, but Roy becomes Arsenal as a way of cutting his ties with Green Arrow. I could see him hooking up with less savory characters like Cheshire and Jason Todd and starting up an Outsiders/Outlaws kind of team.
"Ah... tanks? Someone's getting serious." as he spoke, Seth noted a certain level of hesitance from his opposition. The men on motorcycles did not yet open fire, and strangely enough the possessed tanks didn't either. Either they were frightened of the Nobody, or somebody warned them about him. He had to admit that was probably the smart thing to do, advising these people to be cautious and to let their opponent make the first move. Seth wouldn't have that, though. He'd make sure they were the ones who attacked first, even if he had to force it out of them.

With that in mind, Seth made a sudden move, literally punching the ground he was standing on. All forces opened fire, naturally, but the machine gun rounds and even the Darkness-infused cannon shots from tanks only hit sand. Striking the ground made a literal dome of sand appear around the Nobody. Naturally, the the sand was compacted tightly to add to its toughness, and even if parts of the dome were broke it quickly repaired itself as if regenerating. Within the dome, Seth grinned to himself, "Well that's a start. Time for step two." even as he spoke he made four sculptures of himself out of sand within the dome, and let his own Darkness take hold of them to give them movement and - for lack of a better word - life. For his next trick, Seth let the sand dome fall when the gunfire stopped. They were either out of ammo, or they were checking to see if the Nobody was dead yet. Either way, it was still an opening. The men and the three Heartless saw what looked like five moving sculptures of sand grinning at them. They correctly guessed that one of them had to be the real Seth merely covered by sand as a disguise. But the real question was: which one was he? Even the Heartless couldn't be certain. After all, Seth's Darkness was spread to all five figures, so they couldn't use that method to track him. While they could also normally track someone through their Heart... Seth was a Nobody and therefore had no Heart that could be tracked. For all intents and purposes, the Nobody was pretty much invisible.

Of course, Seth was now exerting himself more than before. He normally could rely on his black coat to conceal his presence and power from potential enemies. Unfortunately, that coat was now being worn by Drake, so Seth was essentially on the proverbial radar, and anyone on this Earth or maybe even the neighboring ones could now feel his presence. Whelp, I'm on the grid right now anyway... may as well just run with it. If subtlety wasn't an option, then Seth would have to do this the not-so-subtle way. All five figures moved at once, darting in separate directions. The Soviets revved their engines and gave chase while the three tanks struggled to keep the agile figures within their line of fire. The trouble with tanks is that while they can be a godsend in certain situations, against foes who could move like Seth... their weapons were near useless.

Two motorcycle troops gassed their engines and sped toward one of the sand figures from opposite directions, and both opened fire with their mounted machine gun. The bullets flew, hitting the figure and... passing right through it? It was one of the fakes, and by the time the two riders realized their mistake it was too late. Their shots went through the sandy golem and they may as well have just shot each other. Both their bikes lost control and crashed right into each other. They appeared to sandwich the golem but it simply blew apart into sand and then reformed itself nearby elsewhere, none the worse for ware. Another of the figures found themselves caught between two of the Heartless-possessed tanks. Both opened fire, but the figure sidestepped, leaving a Corridor of Darkness in his place. This had to be the real Seth, but the motorcycle troops were too distracted by the other golems to notice. Both shots were fired at a downward angle, so it was trouble for the tanks when the Corridor's destination appeared just above the first opening, giving the two shots a downward angle from above and hitting the tanks square in the upper body. This basically disabled the cannons and forced the Heartless within to abandon ship and look for something else to possess. They didn't get far before both were pelted by seemingly endless energy bolts until they were vaporized. If Seth was dropping subtlety for this fight, that would include his usual policy of saving his Snipers for emergencies, and this the lesser Nobodies appeared in droves to take potshots all over the battlefield.

As for Seth himself, he jumped up on one of the disabled tanks and tore off one of his gloves. He balled his newly bare hand into a fist and punched the cannon barrel, it snapping right off like breaking a toothpick. He slid the glove back on and then grasped one end of the cannon barrel with his hands. From there, he proceeded to pole vault into the center of motorcycle troops, making sure to kick up a miniature sandstorm to obstruct everyone's vision. Still grasping the barrel from the tank, Seth spun his body around, actually wielding the thing like a giant bo staff and proceeding to knock riders off their bikes as if swinging for a home run. He noticed the last few of them driving his way and held the cannon by its center and tossed it at them so it would become a big metal clothesline for them to crash into. That left just one tank. It fired, but Seth was faster on the draw, "Stopra!" he cast spell, targeting the projectile more than the tank itself, and it indeed stopped in mid-trajectory. Seth was fast, closing the distance before the tank could ready another shot. He jumped on top, and then used the Fist of Destruction to literally blow a hole into the hatch that he could use to enter. Once inside, Seth cut loose, punching and wrecking as much as he could until he found where the Heartless was hiding and forcibly yanking it out and throwing it up out of the hatch, "Haste!" Seth called without missing a beat, chasing down the Heartless at double-time thanks to the spell. It tried to run, the Possessor making for one of the crashed motorcycles. Seth was hot on its heels, running along the length of the cannon and using it to give him the necessary height to launch an aerial strike at the floating Heartless. And strike he did, Seth had more momentum than usual thanks to the Haste spell and letting the gravity of his jump do the rest. He practically punched right through the Heartless, it having what looked like a gaping hole in its gaseous body before it burst into dark particles to signify its defeat.

As for the Nobody, Seth hit the ground with a tumble and rolled back to his feet with a slide, "He turned around to look at his handiwork, both the golems and the Snipers vanishing as they were dismissed, "How's that for 'anti-tank'?" Seth asked himself with a grin, chuckling as he stuffed his hands back into his pockets. Of course, he did all that while lacking his coat. Anyone and everyone that could potentially sense him on this world and possibly even those neighboring it, no doubt did now. Seth could only hope that wouldn't come back to bite him later.
Ongoing World War II ~ Moscow: Grand Kremlin Palace

Before Seth could get to work, a small little light of some kind zipped at him from behind. Before he had a chance to question it the object attached itself to the Nobody's ear and suddenly he could hear Drake's voice. A communication device? Seth shrugged, deciding to roll with it and whispered back to Drake, "Last time I was on a mission with you you went nuts and nearly killed us. Need I go further?" his tone was dry, but the Nobody was clearly being playful and just teasing. The whole Shadow Nexus thing didn't bother him like it did everyone else. That much was clear.

Stuffing his hands in his pockets, Seth straightened his posture. If he was going to act as the distraction, than the first thing he needed to do was get spotted. That was surprisingly easier said than done, as it kinda felt like he was going against logic itself. Still, the Nobody put himself in line-of-sight of the first set of guards he spotted, even waving at them, "Hello, comrades! Where you looking for me?" unfortunately Seth never learned Russian, so he had to stick to English this time around. Not that it mattered, the two patrolling guards began shouting in Russian as their hands all reached for their guns: both were apparently armed with a Mauser C96. But if they thought their intruder was just gonna stand there and take the bullets, they were sadly mistaken.

Both men opened fire, but the Nobody was quick to duck into a Corridor. By the time they registered what he'd done, Seth emerged from a Corridor directly behind them, "Sorry, comrades, but I can't have you shooting at me." all of a sudden kicked up a small, isolated cloud of sand that forced its way down the barrels of the handguns, dirtying them up and jamming them so badly they may as well have been a couple of paper weights. Seth took off running at that point, purposely leaving the men themselves unscathed so they could give chase. This, combined with the gunfire, naturally got the attention of other patrolmen around the complex. Within moments they were each approaching the scene with various firearms drawn. But each time, they fell victim to the sand, it turning their weapons into useless hunks of iron. By this time, Drake should have easily found his opening to get inside. Of course, that still left the Nobody outside and staring down an increasing number of Red Army soldiers, now disarmed of their guns but still able and willing to fight.

"Right... army..." Seth muttered to himself, as if he'd just now remembered that the numbers were heavily against him. But if he let something that minor get to him, then he wouldn't have survived for as long as he had, "Okay then... guess this qualifies as a bad enough situation for this." he clutched both hands, feeling the energies of a magic spell take form in each one. The men were brandishing batons, while others pulled out trench knives, while a few guards from other positions were now arriving on the scene and taking aim with fresh guns. All too suddenly, Seth threw up his hands and released the spells he'd been charging, right as the men with the remaining guns took their shots. But no one died on that spot, instead the world just... stopped.

Stopped, that is, except for Seth. The Nobody looked up at the clock on the building, confirming that it had indeed stopped, as did the men who were trying to kill him. Well, maybe not stopped completely, but slowed down to a major degree. Seth had just used one of the strongest tools in his arsenal. He cast the Stopga and Haste spells simultaneously, leaving him in a brief state of space/time where he moved faster while everything else around him slowed to a crawl. It wouldn't last long, but it would be enough.

Seth zipped forward like a blur, stopping just short of a guard who had fired his gun. Seth noted the bullet seeming to almost be suspended in midair. He playfully flicked the bullet aside and then got to work. He turned the guard and pointed his gun at another, and forcibly made the guard's finger pull the trigger again so that another shot was fired. He repeated this process until all the gun-holding guards were effectively shooting each other dead. As for the guards he disarmed, Seth quickly went to work again. He went around, smacking them across the head so that his increased speed would be translated into a powerful blow. For some, he simply rammed into them, the men appearing to stop in midair. For others, Seth snatched their batons or other blunts and simply bashed them across the back of the head. And for one particularly lucky man, Seth decided it would be a fun to make the man literally punch his own lights out. He a noticed a canteen strapped to the man's belt and decided to help himself to a sip of its contents.

For good measure, Seth double checked the trajectories of all the bullets already fired. Seeing that some of them were flying toward what could a populated area or even just critters who were scurrying about at this moment of time, Seth decided to meticulously move the bullets off course until he was sure that each one would just hit the ground, a tree, or the wall. This would have to do, because the Nobody realized he was just about out of time. He zipped back to his original position just as time resumed, eager to see the results of his "work". It was definitely. All the Soviet men just suddenly went flying, knocked out by what, to them, had to seem like an invisible force. The guys with guns appearing to just shoot each other dead for seemingly no reason. And let's not forget about the lucky guy who knocked himself silly with a self-inflicted uppercut against his jaw.

Seth looked around at handywork, chuckling with amusement, but soon left so he could go find Drake and catch up.
@Rex Okie dokie. So about three hours from now, then. Got it.
@Rex Gonna need some more context on that time. Like, timezone would help.
@Gentlemanvaultboy

Fair enough, but there's always the possibility that Bee might check our work or something and that's easier done in the new page most likely.
