Blarg, I've said far more than I ever needed to or should have on this matter and - frankly - this is just going in circles now. So if it's all the same to everyone else, I'm just going to stop this cycle before it can get any worse.
As a matter of fact I have watch Kenshin Twice. You're just overblowing the level of the show's power. That's like me taking Hero tales and putting it up on Saiyan Saga DBZ levels. (1)Jack's taken out hundreds of robotic beetles, and fought demons just like others have pointed out on here. Zoro can takes insane amounts of punishment. Kenshin's world is put in fundamentally normal realms of power with Kenshin and the other superior duelists going on to do super human levels of speed. At best I'd put him at super sonic like you said. Last time I checked no (2)samurai can cut a mountain in half like Zoro has. Nor can they fight off the waves of robotic machines by themselves like Jack has. Zoro can create a freaking tornado in the air. More over he has easily cut through solid steel. If Kenshin can somehow even manage to speed blitz Zoro (say with his ultimate technique he used against the final villain of the kyoto arc) if he doesn't instantly kill him with that technique Zoro's going to recover and break Kenshin's sword. (3)Does Casually picking up a building seem normal for ANYONE in Kenshin's universe?

Other feats of Zoro can be seen in my other links above and here. Please go take a look at those things. Reddit especially is easier to understand.

Jack was crushed by a 700-ton sumo and survived it. He also has beaten ancient entities such as the nordic champion guy in his own mountain. He ran across a field some 300 meters or so in length, dodging arrows from 3 supernaturally - enhanced archers capable of firing thousands of arrows per second each (who had previously decimated an entire robot army in the span of a few seconds), and he reached their tower, climbed up to the top, and defeated them. He also did this blindfolded. Saying he can't fight Kenshin is not right.

1. Okay, but I can clearly recall Kenshin taking on large numbers of ronin and bandits and defeating them just as handily. Those aren't the same as robots or demons, I'll definitely grant you that. But I feel like you're downplaying Kenshin just as much as you say I'm overblowing him.
2. Well... I would argue Seijuro could. But this argument is about Kenshin, not him, so I'll just avoid dragging him into this.
3. One of the Juppongatana was a literal giant. Granted, Seijuro defeated him easily but - given his size - he probably could lift a building. There's a precedent for it is what I'm saying here.
Being engineered from dust touched by Beerus =//= Clone of Beerus.

It kind of does. For the millionth time, cloning isn't always what Hollywood portrays it as. Just because Voide isn't an exact duplicate of Beerus doesn't make her any less of a clone. She created with the sole purpose of emulating his appearance and powers, using Beerus himself as the template. That, right there, is the textbook definition cloning. She. Is. A. Clone. Period.

As far as average schmucks go, Yamcha, Tien and Krillin all started out with powelevels at around 50. (1)By the end of Z, they are top 15 strongest beings in universe 7, for sure. And none of them even tried all that hard, or got any reasonable powerups, either. If Tien had gotten the mystic power up by the Elder Kai, or if Yamcha had learnt the Kaioken, or a million other things, the series would be completely different.

The whole point of Dragon Ball is that what you're at birth does not define you. "With hard enough training, even a low-class can overcome an elite" is what the show's always about. ((2)A bit distracted by the fact that the show's always focused on Goku and Vegeta, and them constantly getting powerups based on their genetics as Saiyans, but Toriyama was never the best at storyboarding.)

Due to the constraints of the RP, we'll probably never see any real rifts in power. Perhaps arcwise one character will get a powerup, and in the next one, someone else will.

Besides, (3)didn't you just preach how you didn't want this to be a game about power levels, but an interesting story? Even characters that aren't the strongest can still add interesting elements to a story. Look at One Piece, for instance.

1. Hahahahahaha... No. They aren't. At all. Or does all the dead villains and other divine characters in Otherworld that still far outclass them not count?
2. This, I will agree with.
3. Yes, I did. Hence why I opened that statement by clarifying that it was a hypothetical scenario.

These people with their genetics are basically Superman. Kind of. The point is, if they're going to be that strong due to their genetics and stuff, why then should I bother getting invested or give a damn about them? That's why I mentioned Superman, since in the hands of an average writer he's a disgustingly OP character who never has to struggle and, ergo, is not interesting to read about.
For the record, I don't see how specifying that Voide is a clone of Beerus and not Buu is supposed to help her case. If anything that just makes it worse. Plus, there's no longer any suspense or mystery about who will survive missions or end up the strongest. It's perfectly obvious who that is, it's the person who cloned from fucking BEERUS, the most powerful being in the goddamned universe!

Like, in a hypothetical scenario, what chance could a broken schmuck like Nero have when he's surrounded on all sides by these super special snowflakes and their extra special genes and stuff that will no doubt make them far more disgustingly powerful than an average schmoe like Nero ever has a chance at being?
Hey double, chill out man.

Why not watch TFS make their Bloodborne character? Its pretty hilarious if you haven't seen it yet.

Let me guess they go out of their way to make the most butt ugly character imaginable while cracking unfunny jokes and giggling at their so-called "cleverness". Yeah, I've seen them play Fallout 4 already so I think I'll pass.
No. No he really doesn't. Kenshin is normal human. Jack, and Zoro easily are super human. No matter his fighting style both of the players are simply way to fast for him. Maybe if Kenshin fought pre-crocodile zoro he'd have a chance since they're on even terms there he'd win but I don't see him defeating either of them. But you seem ardent on your support for both characters so I'll ask that we agree to disagree on terms of characters.

As for death battle itself I enjoy them but I don't take their fights seriously. Captain easily beats no-prep batman he has no pressure points for batman to take care of, Toph got a hell of a lot of advantages she had in her fight which were all situational on Gaara, and from what I heard Sol vs. Ragna was poorly handled and researched.

You've never watched or read Rurouni Kenshin, have you? Kenshin is not a normal human, by any stretch of the imagination. Or was I just imagining all the countless times he moved so fast you couldn't see it and others described it as "God speed"? Or was I imagining those times where he swung his sword so hard and fast it created supersonic wind slashes or sent tremors along the ground?
Also, Frieza's shown no skills in magic, nor has his army, and doing what Archmage suggests requires a rather incredible magical knowledge, at least imo. Knowledge of the Gods and the Kais, etc. None of which Frieza really has, except he knows of Beerus, because Beerus was the one dude he was never allowed to fuck with. Well, him and Majin Buu. (According to King Cold, whom apparently knew of both.)

Well congrats, Frieza, for ignoring and breaking the one and only rule you were ever given. You had one job, dumbass. Frankly I'm surprised King Cold doesn't know about this and immediately proceed to punish Frieza for defying his orders but... yeah sure whatever. Fuck logic.
For me it comes down to the question is if Jack can outlast Zoro. I don't see that happening. Jack can fight long, and he has more techniques to his name but Zoro is a beast in terms of strength, and endurance. He will hold Jack and weather his attacks taking damage and dishing it back out. But Jack will get tired and Zoro will take him down in the long run. It is possible Jack may be able to get a lethal shot in but Zoro is just as quick as Jack is he's got faster than light reaction feats under his belt just like Jack. I may have initially thought to little of Jack but I just honestly don't see him beating Zoro in a drawn out fight. All of this is just because Zoro will be fighting Erza Scarlet in death battle and some people would've preferred Jack over her.

They preferred Jack? Only reaction to that I've seen was something more akin to "I was expecting Kenshin." For the record, Kenshin trounces both Jack and Zoro... easily. The man mastered a style of fighting designed specifically to counter other superhuman swordsmen. All he has to do is avoid heavy damage long enough to analyze either fighting style, work out their weaknesses, and then proceed to exploit the hell out of them before finishing them off with Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki. But that's a whole other argument.

On the whole, I haven't bothered with Death Battle in a long time. There was far too much shadiness going on with Yang vs Tifa for me to respect or take them seriously anymore. That, and I got tired of always being able to correctly predict Marvel characters winning almost all of their match ups. Two in particular bothered me greatly... Thor and Iron Man, mostly because both of those battles just so happened to be released at the same time as Avengers and Age of Ultron respectively. A little too coincidental if you ask me.
It never came out and said it was a Majin. It has a lot of Majin qualities but at the same time its. It could be something more like Baby. It was slightly morph abled that also morphed while controlling the body of others....

Majins were banned for a reason. Its because they're the most disgustingly OP creatures in existence. And no matter how you try to spin it, it's still a clone of a Majin. Like I said earlier, cloning is the act of creating a new life form using pre-existing samples or templates. That's exactly what Voide is. She is an attempt to recreate Majin Buu using his form and abilities as the template. In other words, a goddamn clone!
don't look at me I don't even particularly care. I just want to see how strong I can get Garth before the rp just dies like every other rp on the site does.

So this is going to be one those kind of games? Wish I'd seen that sooner or I wouldn't have bothered joining. What you're describing isn't roleplaying, it's level grinding. Like, seriously, all you're actually here for is to power level a character? Really? And here I thought we were here to work together to tell an interesting and compelling story about individuals being forced to play the villains whether they liked it or not. Well silly me for thinking such a crazy idea.
