@Crimson Lion Try had a literal Sentai Megazord Gunpla. It also had a big ass Dragon-shaped Mobile Armor. Yeah, Sekai's power ups were generic "super saiyan" modes, but that's only because he was emulating Domon Kasshu who had very similar upgrades in G Gundam. But the supporting cast usually had way more interesting Gunpla concepts. Minato even had a Gunpla that was literally Fumina in a maid dress. Plus Celestial Sphere and their Gundam 00 based Gunpla.

@Crimson Lion If by "unique" you mean, skew it toward UC and Seed and leave other series in the background or gloss over them. Apart from Felini using a Wing Gundam build, everyone had such an obnoxious hard on for Universal Century and Seed in terms of Gunpla design. At least Try attempted to balance it out more.

@Renny Issue with Yuuki is he's probably still the Meijin so he likely wouldn't have time to coach a team of unknowns. As for Felini, well as much as I like the character, he's also supposed to be the Italian National Champion so I'm not sure why he would suddenly be living in Japan. Most of the previous characters seem like they would be too busy to coach a team. Sei is probably busy running the family shop, Nils is running his own corporation and probably still researching the Plavsky Particles. Kind of seems like Mr. Ral is our only viable choice, even if that would be overly predictable. Not unless it's an entirely new character.
