If you are starting back up I should probably get round to writing that introduction then.
I am no stranger to proving I am worthy of knowledge and your caption is completely understandable. My people have records of living machines used at all levels of society, though I must admit, mainly for heavy lifting. ” At this point Andrick has brought up the slate and is flicking through research notes and old records “ Construction. manufacturing. Transport. Huh, there some kind of band listed here, that’s different. Anyway I understand that my word that the vaulters aren't some Northern warmongers isn’t exactly convincing, we haven’t done much on the world stage yet so nobody could back me up on it. Hopefully we can get to know each other a bit better over this mission and my character can speak for them.

At this point Irthorne announced the group split, “and it seems that we will have that time ” himself and two of the individuals he wished to speak with more the most, convenient though unless there is anything to intercept he probably won’t get the encounter he came here for. Still the gathering had already been useful data wise and there was still much to learn, In the meantime he would have to consider the tactical situation. Apparently Lorick was to be staying up here, so that was one person to keep an eye on, along with Irthorne, Feon the monk who made his scales itch and here companion Kol'Rakul the friendly seeming axeman. All in all a fairly good group, the 2 fighters and the 3 dogs were going to make being surrounded more difficult while he shot from the entrance and made sure they were not attacked in the rear while Irthorne and Lorick… did magic? He realized he wasn't quite sure, Irthorne appeared to be equipped with magic items but for all he knew they could be decorative, the same went for Lorick really.

So, how to improve the situation beyond that, he could set up some defences, some kind of barricade, sharpened stakes or a trench? He wasn’t entirely sure how long the expedition was going to take but probably not long enough that erecting sizable earthworks would be pointless. Also the undead where not known for archery so really it would be a matter of keeping the hords, cavalry and any large monsters back so stakes it is. Andrik set about collecting some large branches from the trees surrounding the clearing then sat himself down on a rock in the clearing, retrieved a knife from his pack and began sharpening them.

I made a Gem.
@HaltingBlooper
*violent flashbacks ensue*

I think I am missing some context here
@Akayaofthemoon
I wasn't sure if the "bow to the queen" in the rules was meaning under the name or on the actual profile page so forgive me if I got that wrong.

are you still open for submissions?

if so can i reserve

and as a start to a newborn sheet

gem placement: back of the head
item/power: a cat of nine tails/cabling
active: use a item used as combat tentacles from back of head
passive: Techno-Empathy via said item to use as wiring to connect to stuff

As the monk, Feon the mercenary apparently, quickly and rather irately ended her conversation with Ingrim, or perhaps it was more accurate to say stopped it from happening, Andrik briefly examined the various contraptions that accompanied the gnome. The mechanical dogs where perhaps the most interesting, clearly mechanical unlike the chest with it seemingly fleshy arms or the animated bows which where also lacking in moving parts. His people did not had a knack for most magic it seemed but the various ancient relics and tombs indicated they had once been masters of the mechanical based arts. Some of the engineers and scholars at home had even been experimenting with designs for large golem like constructs, though they seemed a long way off from getting them to work but perhaps some insight from this or others of his profession could help them.

Hello Ingrim Nesfit, before we begin this expedition I wanted to have a closer look at your wondrous creations. I am Andrik Nordin, a Vaulter explorer who is traveling the lands documenting all of the fascinating things I come across so that my civilisation can have some first hand accounts of the wider world. I was wondering if you could tell me a bit about how your constructions work, my people would be most interested to read about you, your craft and traveling circus.
Andrik quickly made a note of the new information after Skarrab-Alea went on her way and he was left in the company of the excitable Amarilla who had bombarded her with questions. He would need to make additional investigations into these weapons that were apparently advanced versions of some ongoing technology development, one that he would need to acquire either observation of or preferably acquire of some for investigation. The tribes, monasteries and towns he had previously encountered were clearly quite out of touch with the world's currently more advanced civilizations if he had not heard of something that appeared to be a well known development, at least to Skarrab-Alea’s culture. He would need to perhaps make speed for the more southern and the apparently more advanced civilizations rather than making detailed notes on every settlement, oddity and creature he came across.

Although speaking of oddities and advanced technology all at once there was the traveling show-gnome and his mechanical constructs, who was somewhat conveniently introducing himself to the monk and the northerner. While he wandered over, imagining the hooded tall-dwarf would continue her manic introductions, he turned his attention to the two she would probably be speaking with. An aristocratic looking gentleman, though unlike the heavily armed if fancily clad Skarrab-Alea this one looked like he was out for an evening stroll rather than about to fight the undead. In the same vein the teenage girl was completely out of place, wearing a dress that had seen better days. Either the mission was going to be extremely easy or they were both incredibly dangerous. In the world above nothing was as it seems, so erring on the side of caution was always wise. Rule one, something he had learned at the monastery he received the jade amulet from, really applied to anyone who expressed more casual confidence than they really should and not just old bald smiling sweepers. The marauders that attacked the monastery learned that the hard way. He should probably add the pale hooded Amarilla with her serrated knife of those whose threat was not obvious, her demeanor perhaps a cunning disguise, though the various Alchemist's supplies indicated she was perhaps here to provide medical assistance.

But for now he would attempt to strike up conversation with the monk, the gnome Ingrim and the axman Kol’rakul, whose 2 loud introductions he had head on his approach. He walked up just after Ingrim asked his question, nodded to the axman and waited for the monk to respond.
@Turbowraith well that sucks. I have been pre writing all mine in google docs under my char page, something like that might be useful if your computer is unreliable.
@Banana I would be interested in the discord. also thanks for changing your text color the last one was a bit to dark.

It was approaching 10:30 and Seb had already been up a few hour where normally he might just have been rising. This along with how he used most of free time had changed a few days past when he discovered his power. After a nasty bout of flu, he had awoken non the wiser to the change only to accidentally stab himself with nail later the next day while trying to repair one of the fences of the school that had been done in by some hooligan. In hindsight holding a nail with the point towards your hand was never a wise decision but he had not expected a combination of concentration and absent flick of his pinky to drive it into his palm. Having gone to hospital to get it stitched and get a tetanus shot, Seb decided that he might as well use the excuse of that and his prior sickness to get the Friday of as well.

Investigating his strange ability in the comfort of his home was preferable to doing it while goofing off and possibly being caught. In the following two days he discovered his slowly growing ability to move and shape metal and had put his new muscle to work mainly on a large collection of pennies you inevitably end up with if you use cash to pay for things.

The first day involved making sure he did not use his power by accident, his every movement could potentially move metal objects if accompanied with a level of concentration so learning to not focus on metal when he didn't want it to move was a strange skill to learn. Every action had an equal and opposite reaction and trying to lift something heavier actually made it hard or impossible to move the miming limb, though the power was gaining slightly more power with each attempt. On the molding side of his power, the various gubbins featured on his kitchen table now included a quarter of a century, 20 miniature crude roman legionaries of copper had been made over the 2 days he had his power, each more detailed than the last, sat arrayed in formation before him.

His powers was the reason for his early rise, having it to practice had given him a reason to get up even on a Sunday rather than simply lazing about and possibly doing some exercise in the afternoon before tomorrows dreary life of a janitor begun again. Stretching after adding the 20th soldier to the group Seb decided to exercise his other muscles, putting on his boots and jacket and heading out for a stroll. He needed to do some shopping anyway, being incapacitated by flu and then busy practicing had left him without much in the way of groceries and so headed to the main street. Rounding the corner he encountered the devastation where the glass had been blow out onto the street. How odd. Perhaps there were others like him, someone who's power’s manifestation had been much more dramatic than his own? Of course there might be a rational explanation, but Seb’s world had quickly rearranged itself around the existence of the supernatural, perhaps a bit to much but he felt he couldn't be blamed for his excitement. At any rate he decided that it might be wise to help out and at the same time see if he could get any information out of the others.

Jogging quickly to the school he returned with a broom and pan wearing his jumpsuit and proceeded to assist with the cleanup, noticing that most of the town had apparently showed up to inspect the mess. He set to work generally cleaning up the mess and hoping he might be able to find something out from the various onlookers or store owners he was helping while he worked.
