Genius robotics engineer:- capable of creating and controlling various robots and mechas to help with crime fighting. These are either controlled from a wrist mounted computer or piloted directly.

Augmented body:- Ularius’s lower half is a centaur like configuration of advanced metallic limbs. These are relatively tough and very strong. The allow him to reach high speeds, leap several stories and the manipulators on the forelimbs allow for rapid climbing. Heavy ordinance:- has access to various more dangerous weapons, but will generally only bring an a mission what they think will be necessary. A laser cannon’s for alien invasions, a net launcher for bank robbers.

Personality:
A relatively serious individual, Ularius sees his position as something of a penance for the damage his creations were used to do. That said, he has come to enjoy this super hero antics, he became a robotics engineer to help people and to do so directly is an enjoyable experience. While he is generally focused when he sees some interesting piece of technology he can't help but attempt to investigate it, be it another hero’s tools or a villain's weapons.

Origin Story:
Once a prominent robotics scientist from gorilla city, Doctor Ularius was accompanying King Solovar on his second tour of the USA when the king was assassinated by a car bomb. Ularius was caught in the blast and his lower body severely damaged by shrapnel. He was rushed to hospital, but his ambulance was intercepted by mercenaries sent by an opportunistic Lex Luthor. He was taken to a secure facility owned by LuthorCorp where he was forced to develop various machines and robotics advances that were then passed off as the achievements of the senior scientist of the facility; Dr Anderson. While some of these developments benefited humanity at large, far to many where military weapons either used by Luthor in his various criminal activities or were sold to the highest bidder. Anderson particularly liked to torment Ularius by showing him the worst of the damages caused by the robots he was creating, while also bing in charge of coercing him to keep working.

With the general disarray and among Luthors underlings caused by his arrest and sentencing the Doctor made plans for his escape, vastly improving the augments he had built to repair his body, making them on par to the combat robots he had been loathed to create for the scientists. He managed to finish his preparations right as swat forces were sent to investigate the facility at the behest of Luthor Jr after the sites staff refused to acknowledge his new ownership of the company and sealed themselves inside.

Ularius broke free from his captivity when his captors were preoccupied with the Swat assault. The doctor then saved the woefully unprepared police force from the machines of his own creation, attacking Luthor’s mooks from the rear, capturing some of them and shutting off or destroying the warbots. Dr Anderson attempted to escape in a prototype stealth mec and Ularius was forced to choose between capturing his tormentor or stopping the facility from self destructing with many humans still inside it. Compassion won over revenue and he chose the latter and as a result the Dr escaped.

It was after the facility was stabilized and the remaining robots defeated that Ularius met Luthor Jr. In the ensuing discussion the Doctor decided to join Alexander’s new superhero team, where he hoped he would be able to make amends for the damages his creations had done in the hands of the man’s father.

So it turned out the young human was the wizard after all. That was odd. Well, maybe it was odd. For all Iris knew all human mages were like this, perhaps humans slowly lost their magical affinity over time or something equally strange. Seeing as nobody else was going to ask, Iris gave into her curiosity.

”Are all human magicians as young as you?"

There was no arrogance or dismissal of the mage due to his age in the tone of her query, after all her own age could be measured aptly in days, only a genuine desire to know more about the world.

”oh, and I’ll go after Lyminia if that’s alright?"

She suspected the answer she would get would be similar to knife ear’s answer, but she was interested about the lad thought her possible evolutions from working her gift was. Also she wanted to see if this ‘information that does not belong with this world’ thing was something all of them in their generation had. She wondered what that info possibly could be.

She was rather amused by the two other girls attempts at gaining employment with the young wizard, presumably both hoping for some of his knowledge of the arcane to rub off on them. The mention of translation made her wondered whether goblins even produced or consumed literature at all. She supposed that Madam Archmage might have produced works that humans would be interesting in reading, if she wrote in goblin that is. She wished the two of them luck with their attempts with getting education in the human town, personally she was going to wait till she had seen home before she made a decision on where her interests were best served.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE

Shen is an Asian woman with chin length black hair and brown eyes. Physically she is relatively slim and while she is physically fit enough to run combat detail (thanks to cardio) she is much more suited for her chosen profession of being elbow deep in strange machinery. She wears elbow length finger-less gloves, a sleeveless jacket and xcom personnel shirt along with trousers with plenty of pockets and a belt with various pouches of tools and a data pad.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

When Lily was 8 when aliens took over the planet. Her father Raymond Shen, was head of xcom’s engineering department and as a result was a wanted man by the afterwards formed Advent coalition, a global government formed by the aliens to rule the conquered earth. She and her father went on the run, avoiding the advent controlled cities while also continuing her education. They both eventual rejoined xcom, which was now a resistance movement, and worked on restoring a captured alien cargo ship that became known as the avenger. When Raymond Shen died she took his place as xcom’s chief engineer.

With the commanders return xcom began an active and more effective fight against the alien occupation. Shen’s expertise were vital in developing many of the tools and weapons xcom used during the war. It was during this time that she learned of her ‘brother’ Julian, who lured her and a squad to the mech production facility he had been trapped in by hacking the Avenges systems.

Julien attempted to force Shen to free him by downloading him into a unit made by their father called a SPARK unit. However it turns out that that unit had in-fact been made as a guardian for Lilly and not a host body as Julien had believed. The rogue AI was subsequently defeated after he tried to used a Sectopod to kill the x-com squad but in the process opened himself up to permanent destruction.

Later Shen recovered the AI from a copy that inserted itself into the avengers systems and after adding certain restrictions and making a few changes used him as an AI to control the SPARKs used by xcom during the war. Julina was not happy with this situation, having gained the body he desired but not the freedom that should have come with it. Everybody else enjoyed the irony of the situation.

Xcom eventually triumphed over the Advent coalition, destroying their leaders, the elders, and disrupting their military’s psionic control network. It was during the rebuilding process after the war that “the event” struck. Shen and a Julian controlled SPARK she was using for heavy lifting where inspecting an Advent installation when the universe fell apart. The two of them and the small group of civilians from the site managed to make it to Two Fort.

CHARACTER CAPABILITIES

~SKILLS~

Basic Firearms Training - knows which end to point at the enemy and where the safety is. Not exactly an expert marksman but she can help provided firepower if it is needed. If someone can find her a gun that is.

Engineering/Robotics/AI/Reverse engineering/Hacking - Shen was the head of the Xcom projects engineering staff and you don’t get that job by being a crappy mechanic. Shen has a lifetime of training, experience with both repairing high and low tech machinery and taking recent scientific discoveries and converting them into usable equipment. If it has to do with machinery Shen can probably do something with it.

~SPECIAL ABILITIES~

ROVER - Rover is Lily’s custom gremlin unit and he is a step above the rest, with it’s own learning AI it performs much better than even the alien tech upgraded ones specialists where using at the end of the war. It is unfortunately a rather power hungry device and is currently out of juice. Rover has a number of abilities:
Hacking robotic enemies and either shutting them down or making them fight for her. Note that it is possible for the original owners to unhack their robots, which generally happens after a few minutes.
Capacitor discharge is the ability to let out damaging electric shocks, either to hurt one foe or all foes in a large area. The bigger the shock the larger the energy drain.
Long range scanners that can detect hidden foes. Energy intensive maneuver.
Delivery droneThe ability to carry and dispense medical sprays or other items.

Both shen and rover can't take hits as they are both relatively unarmored and fragile, so please keep them away from bullets. While advent troops inexplicably ignored Gremlins in combat it is unlikely others will give the hovering drone that courtesy, Rover is a complex and delicate piece of equipment that might be very hard to repair. Overall Shen’s combat experience is low, there are stronger fighters and better marksmen out there, Shen should not be a priority for good weapons equipment and should probably only be in combat if her specific skills would come in handy

Shen hates being inactive, any amount of time that is not spent improving their situation is a moment wasted. As a result she is rather tense and dislikes complacency. Advent and Julian have also left her with a poor impression of non human sentients and she is unlikely to trust them or to like working with them. She only tolerates Julian because she knows she has him completely under her control.

: Round, flat mushrooms typically found growing out the sides of tree trunks like blunt teeth. It has a less than appealing appearance that matches it’s taste. Your stomach isn’t likely to thank you for this any time soon, but it is edible. What it lacks in taste however it makes up for in protection. The mushroom can be used as an antidote for poison and even it’s raw state can be beneficial to fighting toxins.

Life Noodles

Cup of Lifenoodles [Mother]: A cup of proper noodles with spices, vegetables, and other unrecognizable but unusually appetizing ingredients. Kept in a small plastic bowl with plastic wrap over the top the noodles appear to be perfectly fine. It's difficult to tell when they were cooked but they appear to be fresh.

Julian-Sensors show nothing out of the ordinary and visually it looks as appealing as all the banal organic nutrients humans shovel into their head orifices.

Lily-Lifting the edge of the plastic wrap off the bowl, every hair on your body stands on end and you feel a rush of energy as you simply sniff the noodles. Without taking a bite you know that this isn't simply a bowl of noodles. Whatever this stuff is it has some amazing rejuvenating properties properties. If you ate it you're sure your ills would go away, hell it'd probably wake you up from unconsciousness even!

Technically as Julina is an AI he looks like a metric ton of code. In practice he is a SPARK unit, a mechanized war machine of vulgarly human appearance. He has 3 segmented legs include large pistons at the joint of the 2nd and 3rd segment. Their body and arms covered in alien alloy plating and they have repetitively human arms ending in hands which feature only 3 fingers. their head is a long and features a red band of optical units below which is a microphone and speaker system used for communication. Sebastian, of Shen's artistically inclined assistants has spent an inordinate amount of their spare time paining intricate patterns of dull gold onto the Sparks base coating of blue, much to Julian's annoyance and confusion.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

After 20 years of seclusion he managed to contact Lily Shen, his ‘sister’, and baited her into coming to the facility by hacking into the avengers systems. Hacking - julien is expertly capable of overrunning software security measures, though he pointedly unable to take over other robots. This can be done remotely using the Bit unit.

Target acquisition - Julian is a capable shot with weapons and can do things like calculate ballistic trajectory much better than humans can using maths and range finding. His mechanical body is also a far more stable firing platform as he does not breath. He probably takes longer to line up his shots than a human who relies on instinct and he also can't feel things like the wind direction on his own.

Tanking - robots are made of metal. Please stand behind the robot as it provides cover.

Basic melee expertise - while “take movable part of robot and hit them with it really hard” is not exactly the pinnacle of CQC it is very effective if the target fails to get out the way.


~SPECIAL ABILITIES~

This body is but a shell - as he is an AI and as such could theoretically live inside any machine with enough processing to sustain his mind. Should the SPARK unit be destroyed or badly damaged he could be stored or transferred into a new body so long as this is done before his current one expires. He could also theoretically exist on multiple systems at once.

Overdrive - sets his body into an overclocked state, where it can do basically everything faster than normal. Run faster, fire faster, react faster. This mode puts a heavy strain on the machinery and uses more power, so is only active for a brief amount of time.

Bit - a drone that comes with the Spark unit which can allow remote hacking and repair as well as drop payloads on unsuspecting enemies. Currently out of power.

The SPARK is big, noisy and relatively clunky and as such is not stealthy in the slightest nor is it good at tasks that would require fine motor control. It is also power hungry and while it has a large battery it will eventually need recharging. It also does not heal naturally like a human would, so any repairs will need to be done manually, difficult if there are no replacement parts available.

Julian is supremely arrogant, believing he is superior to everyone else. He is also impatient and short sighted, often making decisions without thinking of what his follow up to that action will be. He has an intense aversion to cooperation in general, he is entirely in this for himself and does not have even the hint for the capacity for empathy. Oh, and he also wants to kill Shen and anyone associated with her for making him a slave.

Red Plate

Red plate [Fallout New Vegas]: A red ceramic plate that looks exactly like something out of the 1950s. It's chipped and worn, almost like it survived a nuclear apocalypse or something. Doesn't seem like it has much use outside of eating off of. However the ceramic material is pretty sturdy and highly heat resistant. Cutting down the plate to use as a ceramic insert for a bullet proof vest wouldn't be hard and neither would breaking it into smaller insulators for something. Throwing it at someone's face or playing frisbee is also an equally appealing idea, for whatever reason.

[Misc crafting item. Heat resistant properties. Fragile, but able to block damage at cost of breaking.]

Covenant Special Operations Harness

Covenant Special Operations Harness: A strange suit of armor with matching helmet obviously designed to be worn by something other than a human being. It’s alien in origin but it’s sure as hell not ADVENT. Even at a glance it’s obvious that whatever this is it’s more advanced than even the heavy hitting stuff ADVENT deployed.

The harness suit features a self-motivated recharging Energy Shield able to absorb damage from physical impacts, landings, explosions, and energy emissions. After receiving a certain amount of damage the shield will drop or ‘break’ leaving the wearer vulnerable. If they don’t take damage for a while the shield will recharge on it’s own, renewing it’s protection until broken again.

This particular harness allows the wearer to cloak. Allowing them to turn invisible through optical camouflage. However it only works when the shields are up, if the shields are not active or dropped then the cloaking function will not work.

In its current state the harness/armor is simply unusable by humans or any other race besides the one it was designed after. With the proper tools and some materials it could be resized.

However it’d be much easier to gut the cloaking and shielding system and put them on something else. Either another piece of armor, a machine, or a robot...

I'v made better banners and added some color to the cs. I have also just gotten the Shen's last gift mission so once I get some more laser weapons I'll be doing that with a primarily specialist squad and getting a nice custom SPARK pic, at which point I can finish the description. hopefully long war hasn't made the quest super hard, because I am on iron man, and squad wiping would presumably end the campaign.

Reputation: originally she was but a your average goblin fighter, I.E. fodder for low level adventurers. That is until she and her mob fought against a particularly incompetent party who, after suffering a humiliating thrashing, ended up dumping most of their possessions in their panicked flight. In the fighting she ended up biting off one of the human's fingers and later while looting discovered it featured a pretty looking ring. She ended up put it on out of curiosity.

She woke up about 3 days later , her int and str score having been quadrupled up to that of the average human. She had been left for dead by her mob with only the ring on her finger, her hammer and some of the books from the adventurers packs left behind as they where of no interest to her kin. It was within one of these books that she found the secrets to human power and unlocked one of the great mysteries of the universe. That book was “a beginners guide to adventuring”, specifically the pages about the class system. She learned how someone could gain power from killing their enemies. For a now tribless goblin, set apart from the others by her new found intelligence, she needed some way to ensure her own survival and the power of the humans was a tempting solution of that issue of preserving her own existence. To gain the power of the human adventurers she must become one, and thus gain a character sheet, class and the ability to gain xp.

After about a month’s worth of close shaves she finally managed to break into Adventurer Guild when it was practically empty and tried force Luna to sign her up as an adventurer. This was done by grabbing onto her hair, planting her clawed goblinoid feet on her boobs to stand and scream into the poor womans face. Unfortunately registration requires these shiny little thing called money and so before Rita could become an adventurer she first had to learn about bizarre world of capitalism.

Personality: She has your average goblinoid traits of being a vicious little sneak but now with a massive overconfidence boost gained from being the most powerful goblin ever. This fact is nowhere near as impressive as she thinks it is. She has developed empathy alongside her increase of intelligence and the two combined have curtailed the desire to commit evil for the sake of evil. However make no mistake, she is ultimately in this for the power: no more relying in strength in numbers, no more worrying about being a source of xp for some noob adventurors, she is going to be the most badass goblin this world has ever seen! She just needs to figure out how to get to that stage from her starting point as rookie adventurer.

Skills:
Sneaky Git: being small sometimes has it’s advantages, as she can squeeze into places a bigger person could not. She is also fairly versed in climbing and ambushing people.
Killer instinct: She is a creature ostensibly made for violence. This doesn’t mean she is very good at it, but she is experienced in combat and easily motivated to fight things.
