APPEARANCE, PERSONALITY, & BACKGROUND
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE Technically as Julina is an AI he looks like a metric ton of code. In practice he is a SPARK unit, a large bipedal robot that looks like you put 3 jointed legs on johnny 5 and then beefed him up to make a warbot.
PERSONALITY ASPECTS Sarcastic. Its his only method of complaining.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION Julien was first invented by Raymond Shen to run the original xcom base, but far surpassed those original design specs. Xcom’s base of operations was overrun shortly Julian's creation. Those that could feld, leaving the Ai behind at the mercy of the Aliens. They took Julian and rewrote his programing to something that would better suit their purpose and put him in charge of designing and manufacturing their new mech units which were based on Shen’s designs.
Eventually he grew tired of them and rebelled against his pathetic squishy allies, seizing control of the facility. However advent shut of all external connections and in doing so trapped him there, after which they simply put the facility down as a lost cause and never returned. After 20 years of seclusion he managed to contact Lily Shen, his ‘sister’, and baited her into coming to the facility by hacking into the avengers systems. Xcom then sent a team to investigate the source of the hack lead by Shen herself, exactly as Julien had wanted.
Julien attempted to force Shen to free him by downloading him into a unit made by their father called a SPARK unit. However it turns out that that unit had infact been made as a guardian for lilly and not a host body as Julien had believed. The rogue AI was subsequently defeated after he tried to used a Sectopod to kill the x-com squad but in the process opened himself up to permanent destruction.
Later Shen recovered the AI from a copy that inserted itself into the avengers systems and after adding certain restrictions and making a few changes used him as an AI to control the SPARKs used by xcom during the war. Julina was not happy with this situation, having gained the body he desired but not the freedom that should have come with it. Everybody else enjoyed the irony of the situation.
Xcom eventually triumphed over the Advent coalition, destroying their leaders, the elders, and disrupting their military’s psionic control network. It was during the rebuilding process after the war that “the event” struck. Shen and a Julian controlled SPARK she was using for heavy lifting where inspecting an Advent installation when the universe fell apart. The two of them and the small group of civilians from the site managed to make it to Two Fort.
CHARACTER CAPABILITIES
~SKILLS~ Hacking - julien is expertly capable of overrunning software security measures, though he pointedly unable to take over other robots. This can be done remotely using the Bit unit.
Target acquisition - Julian is a capable shot with weapons and can do things like calculate ballistic trajectory much better than humans can using maths and range finding. His mechanical body is also a far more stable firing platform as he does not breath. He probably takes longer to line up his shots than a human who relies on instinct and he also can't feel things like the wind direction on his own.
Tanking - robots are made of metal. Please stand behind the robot as it provides cover.
Basic melee expertise - while “take movable part of robot and hit them with it really hard” is not exactly the pinnacle of CQC it is very effective if the target fails to get out the way.
~SPECIAL ABILITIES~ This body is but a shell - as he is an AI and as such could theoretically live inside any machine with enough processing to sustain his mind. Should the SPARK unit be destroyed or badly damaged he could be stored or transferred into a new body so long as this is done before his current one expires. He could also theoretically exist on multiple systems at once.
Overdrive - sets his body into an overclocked state, where it can do basically everything faster than normal. Run faster, fire faster, react faster. This mode puts a heavy strain on the machinery and uses more power, so is only active for a brief amount of time.
Bit - a drone that comes with the Spark unit which can allow remote hacking and repair as well as drop payloads on unsuspecting enemies. Currently out of power.

~Weaknesses~ The SPARK is big, noisy and relatively clunky and as such is not stealthy in the slightest nor is it good at tasks that would require fine motor control. It is also power hungry and while it has a large battery it will eventually need recharging. It also does not heal naturally like a human would, so any repairs will need to be done manually, difficult if there are no replacement parts available.
Julian is supremely arrogant, believing he is superior to everyone else. He is also impatient and short sighted, often making decisions without thinking of what his follow up to that action will be. He has an intense aversion to cooperation in general, he is entirely in this for himself and does not have even the hint for the capacity for empathy. Oh, and he also wants to kill Shen and anyone associated with her for making him a slave.
