Teacher update: I feel like a villain from a cartoon. The laughter of teenagers gives me migraines, and I no longer feel guilt when giving bad grades to kids that sleep through my lessons.

Dennis sword was far too short to actually strike the Trainer, but at least he was able to move his limbs in the binding. He was tempted to slash at the whip that restrained him, but one of the weird dogs jumped him and started to scratch him repeatedly. Dennis was well aware of the damage he took, but the pain was pretty minimal, all things considered. Rather than focus on the initial strikes, the steady flow of blood felt much more jarring and took his attention. Dennis never suffered from a status effect like that so far...
A blast of darkness launched the beast from Dennis' vicinity - Naomi was thankfully doing, uh... Crowd Command? Yeah, that's close enough. River used one of his spells, and Dennis could feel most of his wounds closing. That Bleed was really troubling, but he couldn't deal with it at the moment.
He didn't recognize he was released before he was hit in the face with a whip, a second shot leaving a glowing red gash across his face. Luckily, that meant that Dennis wasn't locked up anymore - He nearly tackled the Trainer when Prome launched two fire-based projectiles at the monster. It was followed shortly by a combination of lightning and sword strikes. Dennis eyes briefly flashed towards the only remaining warg, but it was too far for him to strike from his current location.
He couldn't pull away and risk leaving Naomi or River open to attack. Rather than strike, he put himself between the warg and the casters. He prepared himself to use Living Wall at a moments notice, followed shortly by Repel the Enemy.
Summary: Move between the Warg and Naomi/River, ignore Trainer. Prepare to use Living wall if Warg 2 attacks anyone in Dennis' range. Follow with Repel the enemy.
Name: Tony Tedesco (Note: This is not his real name, just what he puts on official documents.)

Alias: Dealer
Age: 26
Gender: Male
Occupation: Croupier
Abilities: Experienced Dealer: Tony has been a professional Croupier for 6 years, and has the skills of the trade (Good at bluffing, poker face, etc).
Sleight of Hand: Tony is very good with his hands - from magic tricks to picking pockets, he is very skilled.
Card Manipulation: Tony is capable of turning any item he touches into a card, a process he can revert at any time. He is also able to move these cards via telekinesis, up to 50 feet away from himself. He can sense where his cards are within his 50-foot radius and can adjust how bright they glow.
Otherworldy Connection: Tony can speak telepathically with the alien being that gave him his powers. This being rarely offers helpful advice, and in most situations uses this ability to annoy the man until he does what the creature requests.
Weaknesses: Wimp: Tony is relatively frail - while dexterous, he has never really hit the gym, and his best physical attribute is his ability to run away.
Weak Cards:The Cards that Tony creates are only as durable as normal playing cards, and an item in a destroyed card disappears.
Limitations: Tony can only turn items of 100 pounds or less into cards, and he cannot turn still living matter into cards. He can make his cards glow brightly, but not enough to hurt anyone.
Indentured Service/Debt: Tony is intrinsically bound to obey the being that gave him his power, and his cards disappear after 24 hours.
Equipment: Heirloom Poker Set: Only thing he didn't sell when his mother passed away. Takes it with him wherever he goes.
Dealer Costume: Tony stole this getup from a renaissance fair some chick he dated took him to. Not very armored, but it's light and his landlord sewed in dozens of pockets for his cards.
Lots of Ball Bearings: Small metal balls that are basically just heavier, more annoying marbles.
(Unless otherwise stated, all equipment items are carded.)
Bio: Tony Tedesco was raised by his mother until he was 15, never knowing his father.
His mother barely spoke English, and Tony had spent the majority of his childhood as a bully - stealing money from other kids and selling shoplifted toys and knick-knacks. His life was spent in poverty on Minimum Island, as that was the only place his mother could afford to live. Tony occasionally got into trouble with the law for his shoplifting, but was usually able to sneak away after giving a fake name and address.
At the age of 15, Tony's mother passed away, falling into a vat of chemical waste at the Gastro Chemical factory. Tony dropped out of Highschool shortly later, getting a job at a shoe store in North Maximum - the life insurance and selling of his possessions helped supplement this increase in lifestyle. It was here he met Xian Min, who gave him an apartment for very cheap, as well as occasionally giving him homecooked meals.
With most of his bills taken care of, Tony quickly got wrapped up in old habits - he continued shoplifting to this day, and this behavior quickly got him enrolled with seedier ventures. He roamed the Siren Strip for most of his fun, the owners of the smaller casinos willing to let in someone who could not legally collect winnings. Those years were where he became skilled in card games, and several of the more illicit gamblers were willing to show Tony some sleight of hand and card tricks (which he never used, in fear of being assaulted by the owners).
He managed to make some connections over the years, and at 18, he got his GED and enrolled in college to become a professional Croupier. He graduated two years later and started working with one of the various casinos on the Siren Strip. Tony managed to avoid the particular violent clients, and other than his relatively small wage, he was pretty satisfied with his life. One week ago, just after falling asleep, Tony dreamed he was floating in a vast expanse of pure darkness.
A being contacted Tony in this space - Referring to itself as 'The House,' this creature offered Tony supernatural abilities, for the low price of actually using them and sometimes doing the beast a favor. Tony, assuming the vision was a particularly bad alcohol-induced nightmare, agreed. When he woke up to a pounding hangover and a voice speaking in his mind, Tony was informed about the deal he made. Only three days of Petty crime later, The House suggested the path of heroics - And when Tony realized that this was a much easier way to hit on chicks, he donned the mantle of Dealer.
Relationships: The House: Gargantuan alien lifeform that gave Tony his ability, on the condition that he regularly used his power and obeys the occasional request. Tony doesn't trust the creature, but he was never the person to look a gift horse in the mouth. It suggested the path of heroics, leading to Tony taking the mantle of Dealer.
Xian Min: A 72-year old Chinese woman, and Tony's landlord. Can be a bit intrusive, but she is very kind and arguably the only person Tony really cares about.
@Dynamo Frokane Would solid matter be a better descriptor word? Turning something like fire or just energy into a card does seem a bit broken.
He is able to reverse the effect on the card at any time, allowing him to turn it back into an item. So essentially it gives him a much bigger 'carrying capacity,' and he's really good at moving things.

Vito was careful to maneuver the Hummingbirds into a good position - he had brought all three with him, and was already bugging the campus with their eggs. One of the hummingbirds was quietly flying around the auditorium, laying its eggs mostly in small crevices or on the walls - he was barely paying attention to the speech by Headmistress Blackheart, and simply planned on reviewing the video later when he had free time. He had situated himself near the back so as to avoid any staff complaining about this, and he also had his three Sparrow units standing close by.
After he finished bugging the auditorium and the speech was coming to a close, Vito allowed the Hummingbird's AI to take over and start placing the cameras wherever they deemed fit. He could adjust the placing later, but he was mostly just doing this for his information gathering major anyways. Some students were already beginning to socialize and talk among themselves, and with the steadily increasing volume in the auditorium, Vito eventually decided to move - he hated working in chaotic conditions.
Luckily, Hummingbird #2 already found the dorms, so it was a perfect opportunity to settle himself. Vito apparently had a shared dorm room with a Mr. Kirk, much to his disappointment, but if he was lucky then the person might be another Mad Scientist major. The Sparrow Units carried his luggage as the Hummingbirds bugged the cafeteria and the common room of the dorms. Upon entering, he immediately had his Sparrow Unitsput away his luggage in his assigned room. He'd focus on organizing later - he needed to cover the bases and verify what resources he had at his disposal.
The common room had a TV, and the kitchen appliances might offer a few building supplies... Well, his dormmates would probably not appreciate him cannibalizing the appliances, and the last thing he needed was pissing off a bunch of future villains. He finished shortly later and started going over the speech from earlier, laying down on the couch and having his Sparrow units enter sleep mode when they finished unloading his things.
