Current I sound like a broken record, but only 2 months left till I'm done teaching. Not sure what's next, but it feels like anything would pay more and be less stressful lol

Teacher update: I feel like a villain from a cartoon. The laughter of teenagers gives me migraines, and I no longer feel guilt when giving bad grades to kids that sleep through my lessons.

Hayim continued starting through the world tree, looking into the war that went on in reality. Perhaps it was the natural healing effects of Akhuz, or maybe exiting the range of the spire simply let the changes revert faster - it was almost like Hayim could feel his mind dumbing down to its normal level. His body, however, seemed much slower to respond, with no changes being noticeable to the god as he stared at the plant dragons. By the time the dragons were totally transformed and corrupted, Hayim's eyes drifted once more to the fruit.

It had engorged itself tremendously, and its vibrant red was far more potent than any fruit he had ever created. The fruit caused fond memories to arise in Hayim's slowly returning mind - particularly memories of feeding the weaker ones to oblivious children. Hayim never found amusement in the pained expressions they made, but their parents were eager to laugh at their misfortune. It took a little longer for Hayim to remember his excuses for those incidents, that he could simply relieve the pain at a whim and there was no ill will intended.

As he watched the giant fruit burst, spreading it's burning seeds and juices across the forest of Animal-friends and Humies, Hayim wished more than anything that he could alleviate their pain at that moment. Hayim felt almost guilty that he was relieved - since he was in Akhuz, he wouldn't need to hear the Humies scream. The air was filled with the sound of sizzling plant matter, pierced by the roars of several dragons who were struck by the red fruit. Hayim tensed, tentacles wrapping around small outgrowths of root that surrounded him.

The light was shrinking - but like when a Humie cups his hands around a flame, it merely focused the light that already exists. The assaults delivered by Hayim's siblings were superficial earlier, but now Hayim had to actively focus in order to see the damage before it was simply negated. Hayim hopes were dimming somewhat by this point - if the light was like a fire, then intensifying would only mean it was growing stronger. Still, the god would never abandon his post, even if he was regaining his old impatience. The Humies and Animal-friends were still stuck, crying out in pain and fear.

Hayim contented himself with watching the unfolding battle, praying that his siblings would leave the area soon. If they did, then the chance that they would accidentally kill any of the transmuted inhabitants of the jungle would be far lower.

Will get a post up tomorrow.

Edit: Make that Thursday

If you want to hop in, I have no complaints.
Tony looked out of the corner of his eye, making sure that the man behind the counter was preoccupied with other customers. He was in a blind spot of the camera and now was the perfect opportunity to sure up his food supply for the coming few days. Or, at the very least, get a few more snacks for free. Tony tagged a few bags of chips and some cup noodles before he felt he was safe for the rest of the week. Grabbing a few TV dinners, Tony made his way up to the counter and laid them out for the cashier to scan.

"You know, these things are pretty bad for you."

Tony knew that very well - if he made more money, then he'd probably eat better. Unfortunately, he didn't. He simply shrugged at the man, trying to ignore the fact that the store was slowly emptying out.

"I know - they're quick though, and even a bachelor like me can make them."

That earned Tony a laugh, just like he expected it to - the guy was older, and the ring on his finger showed that he was married.

"Trust me, soon as you find a woman, you'll be wishing for that single lifestyle again!"

Tony did all the acts, chuckled at the statement, and was already on his way out the store. Toyn gave a friendly wave goodbye, using his other hand to stash the cards into the plastic bag the man gave him. Before he knew it, he was out and on the streets of Little Asia. The sun was still up, and based on what his watch said, Tony still had a few hours before he had to go to work. Maybe he could try and win some cash by going to the Siren Strip early, or he could finally start jogging like he said he would.

At the very least, Miss Min said that she wanted some help with installing an air conditioner. It was the least he could do after everything that she did for him...

Tony stopped walking to the subway, groaned, and turned on his heel to walk back to the convenience store. Why did that guy have to be so friendly and not just another asshole? It'd be a hell of a lot easier to shoplift from him if he said that Tony was a greasy Italian or something.

"Question; Why go back?"

Ah, there it was - that annoying voice in the back of his head that was apparently a hideous monster. The thing had at first settled for totally taking over Tony's dreams, but just a few days ago it actually started talking to him while he was awake. Guess it started getting lonely during the day.

"I'm giving the shit I stole back - Cashier had a wife and wasn't an asshole, so I think he's an alright guy."

Thankfully, The House was quiet the whole walk back to the convenience store. It was pretty damn creepy having some obviously alien voice in your head while you're just walking around, so Tony was glad that it wasn't too much of a talker. By the time he got back, Tony saw that there was only a single car in the parking lot, and no one was walking around on the street. Shit, that was gonna make returning the stuff subtly a little more difficult...

As Tony pushed open the door, he was greeted by the sight of the older cashier, hands held above his head and staring nervously at a young man in a hoodie, holding a gun to his head. Tony barely had time to register what was happening when both of them turned in his direction.

The door chime gave him away.

It seemed like having Dennis keep up his shielding was not really needed - shortly after he got between the healers and the Warg, the creature was bombarded again with attacks, while the trainer was ripped apart by Akumi. Dennis lowered his guard as the last pixels evaporated from the enemies, still surprised that they died so quickly. The DPS did such a good job - comparatively, Dennis was barely able to do anything...

Shaking his head, Dennis tried to focus on the positives - 5,000 exp and 1250 renn! Dennis almost felt bad taking that much, since his help was pretty minimal, but he definitely could use the money. He already started thinking about all the things he could but - obviously some more actions and spells, maybe see if mounts were a thing, and if he saved up enough Dennis definitely had his eyes on buying a house!

No, first things first, Dennis needed to see if he could find any more of his friends to join the guild. The last thing he wanted was for someone like Vince to be out on his own. Maybe contact Data Link 66 and pay them to look at their subscribers?

A crack of a whip quickly alerted Dennis to the sounds of Zack coming onto the scene. Luckily, River immediately apologized - It would have been really rude if he didn't! Naomi filled up River's MP, something that he really needed since he was a healer, but it reminded Dennis that he wanted to ask for a refill too. Before he could speak, Zack started up again, describing the ways they could go to the Totem. Dennis really wasn't cut out for stealth, considering his armor clinked everywhere he trudged, so, unfortunately, everyone agreed on the bridge route... Hopefully, no one got hurt because of that.

As Josh explained the plan, Dennis realized that he'll probably need his HP lower for attacking the archers with his Even the Odds. But Prome needed some mana, and Cecilia still had HP damage from earlier!

"I-I'm not sure if it's real important, but shouldn't we make sure that Cecilia is healed up before we start?"
And here's mine - looking forward to this!
