@Rockette So this RP looks really cool and I think I could really get in to it. I'm just a bit intimidated because I've never done advanced before. I believe I can handle it, but this will be my first one. Could I maybe have an idea of what's expected post length wise? Just so I know if I think I can do it before committing a character (even though I have part of an idea of a prisoner who "disappeared" already)

Also, hi @Raijinslayer, we keep running in to each other
"I'm gonna stick here, in case the others come back, maybe find another way in," Sam said to the scientist, he quickly added to ease any concerns, "no fire, promise." That seemed to be good enough for her because she ran after her wolf in to the forest. Sam was mildly curious what was going on over there, but he really didn't like running, so instead he'd inspect the lodge some more. He'd broken in to his own home a few times in the past, if he could find a window or something he might be able to get them all inside early.

However after several minutes of walking around the lodge Sam found any windows were too high, locked, or both. He was very tempted to use fire and just burn down the door, or burn a hole in the wall, but he figured that would give a bad first impression. Sam wasn't an arsonist, he didn't burn things for no reason, but sometimes problems could be solved with just a bit of fire.

Sam made his way back to the front of the lodge and found one of the girls who went off in to the woods had returned, the one with the bike. "Oh hey, you're back. So what was the scene like down there? And where are the others?" Sam was quiet a second before he realized, "I'm being rude, sorry, we haven't even been introduced yet, I'm Samuel, call me Sam." Sam wasn't too used to social situations, he'd spent most of his life home schooled, even with work he didn't need to interact too much with passengers. He supposed he would need to change that since he'd be living in such close quarters with so many people.

Sams phone began to ring with a tune from a game he enjoyed playing. He quickly grabbed his phone and shut off the alarm, he still had over an hour until he had to get up, it was only 5 in the morning at this point. He couldn't remember when he started the habit of setting an alarm over an hour before he needed it but it helped him get up in the morning so that was all that mattered. As he was falling back asleep he could swear he heard noise from Ruby's half of the room, was she getting up already? He didn't dwell on it, he just let his mind go blank as he drifted in to unconsciousness.

An hour later his second alarm sounded, he shut it off just the same and debated if he should get up now or wait for his final alarm in 15 minutes. Sam decided he enjoyed sleep too much to give it up, so he lay there in bed, eyes closed and half asleep for 15 more minutes. The 6 in the morning alarm was when he should get up, but he set the 6:15 alarm because he knew himself and knew he'd almost never get up at 6. But 15 minutes passed and the alarm sounded. Sam shut it off and debated how important a shower was, if he didn't shower that was nearly 30 more minutes he could sleep. This was a debate Sam often had with himself, but in the end he always decided to shower, he couldn't bear not having showered, he was always so gross in the morning.

As he got up and headed towards the bathroom he noticed a paper on the floor that wasn't there before. He picked it up to find it was a note from Ruby, it seemed Sam wasn't crazy and he did hear her at 5 in the morning. She went for a run and then to breakfast. Sam put the note down before getting himself in the shower. He enjoyed long showers, so it was good Ruby got ready so much earlier than Sam did, it meant no bathroom troubles. Sam let his mind wander, it landed on the thought of Ruby going for a run. He could never imagine doing that, if Sam was running he was either late or being chased. He also couldn't help but think of Ruby not knowing her ability. He'd be lying if he said he wasn't a bit disappointed when she said she didn't know, but how must that feel for her? Sam couldn't imagine what it would be like not knowing his magic type, not knowing your ability must have been similar.

Sam finished his shower, brushed his teeth and got dressed. Checking his watch he saw it was 6:45, about the time he was expecting to be ready. Seeing as it was September and therefore still summer Sam was wearing his short sleeve shirt without the vest. He got down to the caf and grabbed himself an omelette with spinach, cheese, sausage, and mushrooms, a small bowl of cereal, and a couple of chocolate chip muffins. Sam was a man who enjoyed his breakfast, he knew all this food would catch up with him eventually, but for now he was going to enjoy his fast metabolism. He looked around and saw Ruby sitting by herself with her food already. Sam headed over and sat down with her, "morning Ruby, have a good run?" Despite Sam's trouble waking up he was a pretty good morning person, it was getting up that was always the issue.
@onenote
I'm going to be pulling out of this one, I can see you have no lack of interest though so I don't think me not participating will make too big an impact. Best of luck to everyone
I mean, Iapetus is "The Piercer" so maybe you're good with a spear?
First I just wanna say sorry for not having a character yet. I've been busier this week than I expected. Second, there was something about Zeus shape shifting a bit back. I just wanna say I'm pretty sure all the gods can do that by virtue of being gods, and that power probably doesn't get passed down
I found this right before I have to go to work, so I'll need to read everything later, but if there's room I think I'd like to join.
Sam pulled his bus over where the woman pointed before getting out and joining the rest of the group, it seemed they had split up, some going to whatever the source of the smoke was while the others stayed. He idly wondered if he should follow, where there's smoke there's fire, and fire was much less dangerous to him than anyone else there most likely. But there were other matters to attend at the moment, because as the scientist tried to open the door so everyone could get their luggage in she discovered the door was locked. Sam also learned the wolf could talk, which surprised him for a second then he realized that was silly of him. He was part phoenix, a talking wolf was mundane in comparison.

"I mean, I could burn the door down," Sam pondered aloud, "that would get us in, then we'd have the problem of not having a door though." He would prefer to not start his retreat by burning down the front door, but if it came to it he supposed he could. "Or we could just follow the others, make sure they're okay, then grab the keys like a normal person would." Sam did want to go and see what the commotion was about, apparently the smoke he saw wasn't just from someone having a campfire.
The drive up to the lodge was really nice, Sam was glad he was doing this. During his drive he had lots of time to think and he realized this was exactly what he needed. Just some time away from work and family just to collect himself. He had seen the ads for this place but he hadn't considered coming up until his almost incident the other day. After almost losing it he knew he needed to change something, if he continued just trying to force his powers down he knew that wouldn't end well. His boss seemed pretty keen on the idea of Sam going on this retreat, and he insisted he take one of the company vans (Sam preferred calling them what they were, short busses), probably to get in on the PR stunt.

So there Sam was, driving up a country road in what was little more than a re-purposed school bus with the words "E Z Port" on the side, the name of Sam's bus company. Off in the distance he thought he saw smoke rising from in the forest. He didn't pay it much mind, probably someone camping, he just wanted to get to what would be his new home for the next while. He idly wondered what the other people inhabiting the lodge would be like. He hoped he didn't have a problem with any of them. This relaxing retreat in the woods would be much less pleasant if he accidentally burned the house down.

Finally he pulled over a hill and saw the lodge, and it seemed he wasn't the first one there. He pulled the short bus up to the group, noting the garage attached to the lodge. "Hey, uh, should I park the bus in the garage or just leave it here?" He just kind of addressed his question to the group, as he wasn't sure who would be able to answer his question, maybe the mechanic guy? Or should he have been asking the scientist looking woman? Either way he would wait for an answer to either park in the garage or not before leaving the bus and joining the group.
Just saying, sorry for not posting yet. I was gonna post this morning but I fell in to Darkest Dungeon then I got called in to work 2 hours earlier than I expected. I'll probably get something up tonight
