@Rabidporcupine I still definitely have plans to return to the roleplay, as do a few others that I know of with certainty (Vit, Scoundrel, Hyro, and a few others). The main reason things stagnated is cause a few people just got really busy after the site broke down, and Magister's keyboard wound up breaking on him. So while we're all still interested, there's just a few complications at the moment, sadly. I don't want to let this roleplay to completely die off or anything either, so don't worry. I was really enjoying the Wanderers scene in particular. c:
Gale Aldrich Eden wasn’t a bad person. On the contrary, he was actually quite pleasant. He laughed when it was appropriate, he comforted in the unfortunate times where it was necessary. He was his parents’ pride and joy, he had a tight-knit circle of friends. He was “normal”. He was “good”.
Today, he was walking home from book club, coat slung lazily over his shoulder. They were preparing for yet another fundraiser, and Gale had been tasked with the effort of compiling the presentation. It was packed nearly to the brim with the smiling faces of the children affected, the tearful statements of their parents. He was quite proud of his work, really. It was hardly his magnum opus by any means, but it did its job well enough. He unlocked the door to his house- a nice little two story thing in the suburbs- and knocked on the doorframe before sauntering inside.
“Mom? Dad? I’m home.” He smiled at the sight of his father’s head peeking out from the couch, and, moving forward, his mother snuggled into her husband’s side. They were watching some sort of B flick that Gale held no interest in, the sort that was so bad it was good.
His mother lifted her head a little, returning Gale’s smile. “Oh, good. Was wondering if we should call you. How was book club?”
“It was fine. Made a lot of progress on the thing.”
“You’ll have to show it to us once you’re done with it.” It was his father, now, idly rubbing his nose with his sleeve. “Might have to pass it to the folks back at the office.”
Almost immediately, Gale shook his head, nose wrinkling. “Okay, no. I’ll show it to you, but that’s it. Final.”
They talked for a bit. It was mostly the sort of casual chitchat he had expected, which went by without any trouble. He ate the dinner that had been stored away for him, watched some of the B flick, then excused himself to go to bed. All his homework had been taken care of at the school itself, so Gale had little else to do but brush his teeth and bury himself deep under the covers.
The day had gone as usual.
His dream, however, did not.
Gale’s mind was blurry. He had gone to sleep, and had dreamt of a mirror- none of which explained why his head was now resting somewhat awkwardly on a pile of soil. He pushed himself into a sitting position, squinting a little as he picked leaves from his hair.
Had he been kidnapped?
The thought made him jolt to his feet. It seemed near impossible- they lived in a good neighborhood, and he doubted that anyone would be able to get past his parents- but everything was far too vivid to be excused as a dream. A quick glance at his hands, which were completely unchanged, only served to reinforce the notion in his mind that he was wide awake. Before Gale could get too far into his musings on what could’ve happened, the faint sound of voices had caught his attention. Eyes widened, Gale slipped behind one of the nearest trees before anyone could catch sight of him.
There was...a rabbit. A talking rabbit. There were other, regular people around, many in various states of shock or panic, but there was still a talking rabbit chattering on. Gale watched the little beast with a sort of minute interest for a while, before lifting his gaze just in time to see a strange, vaguely humanoid shaped figure emerge.
Some started running.
Gale didn’t need to know what was happening or where he was to tell that was his cue to flee, as well. Turning on his heel, he made for the same direction that the others were heading in, keeping to the sanctuary of the grove.
He could find out what was happening when the risk of danger wasn’t hanging over his head.
Just as before, the door gave a cheerful sort of tinkling, and just as before, both twins’ heads turned in tandem to see who it was, eyes alight with curiosity. Upon seeing who it was, exactly, who had come to visit, the pair shared a sort of measured look between themselves before giving Amorette their usual easy grins. The queen’s flash of malice hadn’t gone without notice.
“Your favorites?” Indigo chirped. “Aww, Queens. Just going and buttering us all up. We’re touched.”
“Makes us feel all fuzzy inside,” Percival said. “Right in here.” He lifted a hand, thumping it against his chest. “Right in the lungs.”
The two split apart, Indigo taking her station behind the bar, Percival hopping into one of the chairs and gathering his neglected viol- fiddle up into his arms. “Not that we’re torn up on you dropping by or anything,” began Percival.
“But you should’ve told us you were heading our way,” Indigo added.
“Would’ve spiffed up the place some.”
“Maybe set up a few balloons here and there. Really class it up around here.”
Percival leaned back, plucking out a few strings. “Anyway, what can we do ya for, Queens? Gonna take a guess and say you didn’t drop by just so you could bask in our charm and devilish good looks.” He grinned.
“Don’t kid yourself, Perc. Got as much “charm” as a dead slug. And the looks to boot.” With deft hands, Indigo swiped one of the bottles from the shelves without so much as a passing glance and thunked it onto the countertop. Chateau Margaux. Amorette’s prediction of the wine being in stock was right on the nail. “Guessing it’s the same old again? Hit me if I’m wrong. Don’t actually hit me, but just- tell me if I can drink it or not, here.”
Yo, @Hekazu, would you prefer realistic images, or are pictures and the like okay? Also, is it aight if I use two characters, or would you prefer for me to stick to one? Sorry for taking so long, by the way- I've just sort of been fumbling my way through some class work I've been putting off lately, haha.
Gael is a rather beautiful young boy, with large chocolate-brown eyes and soft blond curls that reach his chin. His build is slight and waifish, making him seem far less than imposing in more aspects than not.
Attire: Gale is more often than not swallowed up by pastel-colored coats several sizes too big for him. He also displays a remarkable fondness of bows- bows on his coat, bows on his boots, and a large bow tied neatly around his throat. His pockets are often swollen to the brim with candies and sweets, and it is a very rare occasion for the boy to be found without the stem of a lollipop poking from the corner of his mouth.
Arcana: The Moon
Weapon: A pair of gauntlets, the ends of each finger leading in a sharp, razorlike tip- effectively rendering each into a blade. These claws are jagged along one side, allowing them to slide easily into flesh, but create vicious tears upon their removal. For how wickedly the weapon is designed, however, they still remain beautiful in their craftsmanship.
Personality: For all of Gale’s sweet, cherubic appearance, he is a monster through and through. Hiding behind a thin veil of courtesy and politeness, the youth is extremely cynical and cold, his views on morality and the like shaky at best. He has a extremely dark and cruel sense of humor, and despite his behaviors, he is nearly hypocritical in how highly he holds the idea of “manners”. Interestingly, Gale is also highly cultured as well for someone of his age, being well-read and knowledgeable of different plays, novels, and operas.
Backstory: Gale’s family was one of those sorts that fell just an inch above the comfortable suburbs of the middle class, safe from hunger or struggle or what have you. His father worked high among the branches of his company, and his mother worked as a pharmacist. Their collective incomes ensured that Gale would never go without, and the parents themselves doted on the child as if he was their own flesh and blood son. He wasn’t, really- Gale had been adopted into the Eden household at the age of six- but they still loved him with all their hearts.
The boy was hardly the perfect child, however. Having been plucked from an abusive household, Gale was discovered to have a neurological disorder that made him unable to experience pain, and an almost eerie detachment to the ideas of right and wrong. It wasn’t uncommon for him to mock and goad his parents and peers, playing surprisingly cruel pranks and feigning innocence when caught. Everything came to its natural conclusion when the Edens found their son crouched over the neighbor’s cat with a knife in his hand, slitting the belly from crotch to chin. Horrified, the parents immediately sought as much help as they could get- speaking with Gale’s therapist with the issue, hiring psychiatrists and psychologists and whatnot.
Eventually, after years of therapy, the boy began to show signs of improvement. He expressed guilt over his behavior. He smiled at his mother’s terrible jokes. He built up a circle of friends, adopted a set of healthy outlets and hobbies, and took the first trembling steps into a proper life.
Of course, Gale hadn’t changed. Deep down, he was still the same boy who had quietly disposed of the neighbor pets- but he had discovered that making believe was far more beneficial. When the Apathy Syndrome hit, he and his family were luckily unaffected, and when P3 rolled around, Gale involved himself in as many fundraisers as he could- for the hospitals, for the worried families, for the children themselves. It was after one such event that Gale went to sleep, and found himself waking in the wonderful world of Wonderland.
Persona Appearance: Geryon takes the shape of a chimeralike monster. It has eight legs, bent and shaped like that of a spider’s, but built like a lion’s- paws and all. It’s body and wings are that of a dragon, with a scorpion tail. The tip drips with venom. Interestingly enough, despite the beast’s horrifying body, its face is that of an honest man. The entire being is roughly the size of a mountain lion, if not a bit larger.
Persona Skills: Skewer Eiha Rakunda
Character Relevance: The Monster of Fraud, the Geryon portrayed within Dante’s Inferno resides between the seventh and eighth circles of Hell, Violence and Fraud, and serves as an escort for Dante and Virgil into the latter. For the young Gale, it represents the farce that he presents to the world- that of a kind, warm-hearted man- and the violent horror that lurks just beneath the surface.
Standing at 5’11”, Gale is a rather elegant young man- his build slim, and held with an almost catlike posture. His eyes are a warm chocolate brown, his skin is a light pale, and his face is framed by waves of blond hair. His features are gentle- noble, even-, and he has a handsome, trustworthy face. Speaks softly, tends to smile often.
Attire: Even in most casual situations, Gale tends to be a sharp dresser. As one could reasonably expect, his exact wardrobe differs from season to season, but his preferred outfit typically consists of a pair of slacks, and a tawny breasted jacket left unopened over a button up shirt. When it’s too warm, he’ll often forgo this set for a light long-sleeved shirt and jeans. No matter what, however, it’s rare to find him without a lollipop corked into his mouth, or held between finger and thumb. His pockets are loaded with the stuff.

Personality: On the surface, Gale is nothing short of a gentleman. He’s amiable to most he meets, charming and personable in his demeanor. He displays remarkable patience in dealing with circumstances that might draw others to anger. He’s intelligent and cultured, he laughs when appropriate, he’s considerate.
He’s hollow.
The truth of the matter is that the friendly persona of Gale Eden is almost entirely fabricated. He doesn’t feel the emotions he makes out to express- in fact, he hardly feels them at all, unable to experience the full spectrum of feeling that others possess. Beneath his affability, he’s almost entirely indifferent towards his fellow man, his loyalty and affections being hard to truly capture at the end of the day. A cunning beast with the mask of an angel.
