Being bored and a bit inspired by one of the images from the other day, we made this

Thoughts?
We've seen lots of good responses to the challenge, as well as a few who have acceptable excuses. The following have yet to react to the challenge:
@Heat @Howler @Tzarima @Sundered Echo @Dblade26 @EliteCommander

We know @Vesuvius00 has begun to answer and eagerly await the result.

Status update request and challenge:
(copied from previous page)

This goes for everyone. Please notify us about your status for posting the IC. That is step 1.

Secondly, as part of a challenge we got an idea for somewhere, we would like everyone to write, from their character(s) perspective, an impression for how they would relate to one (or more) other characters that they do not already have a previously defined relation to.
Each such new relation must be based on another character’s appearance and personality/behavior. For reasons of plausibility, it would be ideal if each such relation involves a character your character has actually met. If that doesn’t work for you, do it as a future relation with someone (s)he has yet to meet.

Summed up:
Compose one or more new relation(s) for your character(s), based on the appearance/personality/behavior of other PC(s).
Preferably with characters that have met, but optionally with those that have yet to meet.
Number of relations required is minimum of one per player, but the more the merrier.
Preferably, the relation should be in the perspective of your PC(s) rather than impersonal, but the end is what matters, not the means.

Players that do not reply in any fashion (without prior approval of absence) within a few days will have their characters set aside after 4-5 days.
Ah. Fair enough, @NuttsnBolts.

These days, even seeing such a castle doesn't really reveal all that much about it. The society is too changed from then.

We're also fond of using maps and 3D models in our RPs. They help out a lot.
Ease of reading and navigation is important for RPs. In particular tab OPs, but also the sheets.

Even just basic bolding of things like "Name:" in a CS is a major bit for making it easy to read. We've found that employing hiders is also wise for the CS tab. each player puts his/her sheet in a hider, its a lot easier to find the one you're looking for when you need to look something up in a sheet.

If you want to go all-out (on complex sheets), nested hiders can be practical. Up to a certain point, of course.

Interest checks require special care for appearance, as they're the bait that will get you players. Proper formatting, ease of reading, considerations for available information, nice imagery, etc... All those factors count there. After all, if you bait it improperly, how will you trap your players?
You can edit the thread title, @Undine.

@NuttsnBolts Do you mean that you avoid fantasy if it is too european-based or that you avoid it if it is not sufficiently european-style?
Genre is ruled by whims.
Complexity is typically advanced, but not demanding it be high levels of that.
We're fond of quality over quantity, so if you achieve a lot with two paragraphs, then we won't demand you write 5+ paragraphs.
Images that do not fit the setting, like those images of Female Sith who for some reason appear to be dressed in swimsuit armor or somesuch other unrealistic "clothing" annoy us a lot. Same goes for names that do not fit the setting/species/gender.

More often than not, anime-style images do not fit the setting in the RPs we partake. They tend to have abnormal body proportions, clothing that is illogical and/or hair that far beyond what any normal being could grow. No, no matter what you or others might think, females of the human species do not have larger eyes than the males.

We're also fond of complexity. Our current RP is Star Wars-themed and has about 15 players (of which 3 are GMs).
Maybe love and/or Hate? They're both exceedingly powerful emotions and do on occasion go hand in hand.
@NuttsnBolts, the role of the player is to frustrate the gm a little. Or a lot. If the gm plans an extensive underground route, the player will go overground.
Yes.
Miasa forced us to write that post. We got no choice in the matter.

The droid is more or less one of these.

The target is any one willing (or unwilling) Jedi prisoner. Outcome is up to you, but do use common sense.
