some people will also be backwards and not desire to change from the BB Code system. No matter how bland it is currently as features go.

But new features that are actually useful (which an improved editor clearly is) is always welcome in our opinion. There's so many good feature ideas out there that you can't implement all the features people desire most of all right now. (far too much code meshing needed to do that)

My format coding isn't working?

it has a space inside the [] tags around hr.
Also, @mahz the hr tag overrides [code] tags. As you can see here by viewing raw code of the below horizontal line:

Just remember that when you copy the above URL to remove the three extra spaces we put in there. (after // and before two of the . dots)

We put them there to trick @Mahz far too active URL parser. It doesn't understand that it should not parse URLs inside [code] tags, which can be really annoying when providing help to people.

As a side note, we'd recommend using a few internal [hider][/hider] tags to make browsing the sheet quicker. Especially on the image, as that's a large one to scroll past. But that's just a "ease of reading" recommendation, not anything that is broken.
This sheet really had some impressive use of BB Code to make it stand out and not merely be white on gray text.
The preview button is also supposed to tell you when there are errors in a post's BB Code.

we have no issues like that and we used firefox, @Mahz. Therefore, extensions sounds plausible.

Our initial impression from the above post is that it seems overly convoluted. There's a set of rules in here, where rules #1 and #2 link to four other sets of rules, and it feels unclear, which feels to us like a rule overload.

Then the actual contest is hidden inside hiders, in such a way that we actually missed it on the first time through, thinking it was the author's signature, not anything related to the post.

What exactly is the goal of the contest? to write a story featuring pride? to follow the specifications in hider #1 exactly? #2 exactly? Or is it something else?

It should probably not be too difficult to set it so that the 0th post is potentially visible on top of every page. If that is possible, it should probably be relatively easy to code it in much the same way as a hider for every page that isn't page 1. However, it is Mahz that can answer whether this is that easy, @Crimmy.
