In a world where it appeared that most people were incapable of saying things like 'thank you' or rewarding a good deed, it was nice to see that at least the muscled monk was an old-fashioned enough person to praise Val for the heroic, divine things that he had done the day before. Even though, if Tai Yang had the same eyes and ears of Val Kaireiss, he'd be less than pleased with the Land God using the Ninja Janitor as a cushion. Accepting the gift with a smile of gratitude, and wondering what blessings he should shower upon Tai Yang afterwards, the blue-haired God took a look at the gift. It was a red candle, held in an aluminum candle holder that was carved in the shape of a lotus. The wax was organic, which was always a nice bonus, and he could already catch the subtle scent of flowers that wafted from it. Not bad, for something that had taken less than a day to make.

But, despite all that, there were things that drew his attention away from Tai Yang's lesson. It appeared that things were escalating between Dios and Deja, in which the former was seducing the latter into betraying the Academy or whatever. How dramatic. How spicy. How interesting. There was a demon girl that seemed to be eavesdropping on the 'secretive' pair as well, and Val was dying to ask her what she thought about all that...but he won't, not for now.

Instead, like any good Land God, he kept quiet about his own thoughts, and asked, more out of a lack of things to say than anything else, “By contemplation, do you mean discussion, Adjutant?”

For Victoria, I went for a more...medieval, military-ish army march thingy. Mainly because I still think of her as some sort of sentinel knight person, instead of a racist rich person.
Yu WuYa was painful, because everything I found that was assholish was also super dark and evil sounding, which doesn't fit at all. So have some classical Touhou. Chose to approach this from the angle of thinking of her as being like the wind, unconcerned and floating. The flute was nice too.
Clemetine...dual-personality peeps are hard. So I focused on her awkward dorkiness and brightness. Which made it impossible to also depict her as a badass stoic dual-wielding fem-brunette-Kirito.
Tarkus gets hammer time, because of hammers and, you know, THE LACK OF A HISTORY OR PERSONALITY?!?!?!?!?

And Asuras, the song came out in 2007, so part of the low-qualityness might be attributed to that. Nevertheless, I can do a bit of a rundown of my thought process when listening to ze song, since udgi.

First verse, I would interpret it as O-boy's first five years, in which he just wants to live normally, even though he's surrounded by assassins, ninjas, and all sorts of vicious bare-handed killers.

Second verse (mainly the All alone he turns to stone) stems from both his current personality, as well as the fact that he started his training alone, hardening himself in order to become the 'legend' that he thought his sister saw him as. I would imagine that he was going through some life-threatening training? Or is the Azure family not that insane?

A fun bit is the

All he knows
If he can't relieve it it grows
and so it goes

which reflects how all he knows is to train, get stronger, and become a legend. If he doesn't relieve himself of this image, it'll only grow and expand, forcing him into even more abnormalities, which lead to...

like a worm from a bird

He fears failure and defeat, but he also wishes to be surpassed, 'defeated', so that he could regain some semblance of a normal life. In a way, then, he fears his own legacy (the bird), which has grown larger than himself (the worm). But birds are faster than worms, and that's pretty much why he can only crawl, struggling away, if he even makes that attempt the first place.

Of course, knowing myself, I've probably misinterpreted your character incorrectly, but it's k, I'm just burning time here.

For Oroku, did ze worm because he's a fucking scrub worm and the lyrics sorta match. Maybe. Depends on how you stretch it.
Prudence got the Godless Sunday treatment because she's lonely and rich. The violins give off a classy feeling, while the vocals...q.q
Lien...I was very tempted to use some generic rap song about money and hoes, but I restrained myself.

In past RWBY RPs, I would search out themes for all ze characters, which usually numbered in the tens.

For this RP, I think I'll have to settle for also figuring out atmospheric themes, seeing how there's only 8ish of you.
